[Q] Touchscreen problems when connected to computer

Hi there, so when I connect my cell phone to the computer via the USB cable, the touchscreen on my phone acts weird and sometimes I cant even tap anything, does anyone have the same problem?
I also have this problem and would like to know what is causing this.
Are you using original cable?
cable + charger related.
i had same issue with my last htc phone as it acts weird on non-genuine charger, now same chrger do same weird stuff on my S2 but. and the cable if used alone via computer also doesnt work properly. so i threw them few days back.
its a voltage problem, so never use local cable or charger, always use original that came with phone

Hence my S3 is unable to charge.
Again my charger is recognized as OTG cable.
It is not rooted its a stock device. Please help. Shall i go to Samsung Service Centre ?? PLs suggest .
Turn off your phone and try plug it again. See if it charging or not.

Hello, struggling to find anything similar to the issue I am having, sure one of you more tech savvy folk could help.
My car a 10 plate golf has a built in media port through which I can charge and use my media devices, however since receiving my S3 I cannot get it to work. The in car system display states 'media device not recognised.'
To work around this I bought an aux jack to jack and plugged in to it that way and this works fine whilst the phone is disconnected. However when I connect the phone to the usb to charge, it automatically defaults to media device not recognised and disconnects the aux.
My old phone had the same issue (HTC desire) however this could be set to usb charge only which would prevent the car system from trying to use it as a media device simply providing charge.
However, I do not appear to have this option on my shiny S3.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I could work around this? I do not really want to charge the phone using the cigarette lighter socket as this has fried other devices in the past.
Many thanks.

Hi, Tnx for your reply.
I already tried that.
Following is all what i did :
1. Rebooted couple of times
2. Removed Battery sim card everything
3. Changed my charger and connected with a new charge
4. Tried to connect to PC via usb (USB Charging), but did not work
5. Also a factory reset when nuthing worked
After all the hard work, i had to visit Samsung service and they are saying motherboard will be replaced.
I still dont know how did motherboard got busted, but anyways its free of cost so its cool.
Thanks
QC problem I think. Glad you solved the problem. Enjoy

Potentially the cable or charger is defective, try another one and see if it repeats.
The system recognizes the OTG-cable through a certain pin layout which might be triggered by a defective cable.
Also: you didn't change the ROM or any significant other part (e.g. Kernel) before it first appeared?
@buftybasher: Thread hijacking is considered very rude. Your issue has nothing to do with his.
however since receiving my S3 I cannot get it to work. The in car system display states 'media device not recognised.'

That's because the S3 doesn't have a mass storage (UMS) mode, only a mode specially designed for mobile devices, the so-called MTP.
Most probably your car simply is not capable of supporting this 4-year old standard and relies on the very old mass storage mode with FAT32 partitions.
If you store your music on the external SD card, you might want to take a look at the Easy UMS APK here on Xda, it should make your car be able to access the storage. (Not all kernels support the feature)
it automatically defaults to media device not recognised and disconnects the aux.

If you are any good with a soldering iron, you could open up a USB cable and cut off the 2 middle pins (D- and D+) which are used for data, then solder the corresponding resistance for 1Amp or 0.5Amp charging to the phone's side of the cord.
Voila: charging-only cable.

USB Connection not working

I been trying to connect my phone to my computer now for about an hour. My phone recognizes that it's charging, but won't come up as MTP device. I have tried reinstalling drivers turning the phone off and on again, no dice. Here is the strangest part. I have 3 cables and I tested them all. One of them connects it to the computer as MTP the others just as charging. Has anyone else had this problem with their GN2?
I'm having the same issue, forum digging has proven fruitless thus far :/
Try a usb hub. It worked for me...

[Q] A way to connect and communicate through a USB Bluetooth adaptor without a pc?

Does anyone know how to, or if either a special device or app is needed to connect via bluetooth to a usb bluetooth adaptor without the use of a PC? I have an obd connector in my car that runs off usb mini to usb A to connect to a PC, but someone said they were able to connect over bluetooth using an adaptor before, but they used a serial connection obd connector on the car, and used a serial to bluetooth adaptor.
I am trying to connect using the usb mini to a 4 port usb hub which I connected to a cig lighter to USB charger for power, and then connected the Bluetooth adaptor in to the hub, but my phone will not see the device. Do I need to do something to the phone with an app, or is there a specific bluetooth device for this?
I am using my evo 3d running Solidrom 4.1.
Thanks!
I used this with my 05 Jetta and Evo 3D and also Evo LTE.

I'm not sure what you heard is possible with any OBD reader. Maybe there's a specific one that is. You most likely need a OBD specificly for blue tooth like the one I posted. I am also using Torque app and it words great.

Unfortunately it is an OBD1 Nissan, and they use something proprietary called Consult in order to connect. My Consult to USB works fine, I just need to be able to communicate with the adaptor without having to plug in to a PC. Not sure if that is even possible.

[Q] PC connect/disconnect

i have a fairly new Galaxy S4, but every time i connect my phone to my computer, if i move the phone/cable a fraction of an inch it will disconnect from the computer and immediately reconnect multiple times until im done moving anything. It doesnt seem to matter the cable or the usb port on my computer.
any ideas?
Bunk charging port. That's what my s3 started doing and eventually it wouldn't recognize or charge. I'm sorry.
