Anyone recommend a good case that doesnt bloat the phone out but is still a good case that you can use the phone without having to remove it from the case. Did that make sense?? not sure
Anyway there doesnt seem to be many cases available yet so i guess wizard users can recommend a manufacturer and style that i can keep an eye out for to see if they release a TyTn case
Cheers
Chris
iPod socks
I am using an ipod sock to protect my TyTN. It fits perfectly inside and I can put it on my pocket. IMHO the shipped leather case with magnets bloats the phone too much and I can't put it on my pocket, also I don't like magnets near my device

Cute socks!
I must say that the leather case that came with the TyTN is probably the best bundled case I've ever had. I'm still going to replace it for all-sides protection, but at least I can feel good about using it in the meantime....
I don't think its real leather. more like faux leather to me. doesn't have that nice smell to it.
I sent an email to SENA to ask if they will be making a case for the TyTN soon. They replied that if the TyTN becomes popular in the US, they will consider it!
I have one from them for the BA and it is beautifully made.
Proporta are doing a flip and book case for the TyTn HERE.
Unfortunately there's no image. But 4winmobile have a review and loads of piuctures of the same case for the Wizard HERE
I would think it'd be the same bar slightly different sizing.
Noreve should be releasing one today ... personally I think it will slip.
I have one of theirs for my Archos 5100 which is superb. My only concern is that their 9100 case and Krussells have not protection for the bottom corners.
The second generation 9100 case from Piel Frama (Expansys rebrand as Chairmans) was superb and did protect the whole device. Piel Frama tell me they are waiting for a device to use to design the case.
Fingers crossed.
Paul.
Best case
I'm using the belt clip leather case that I used to use with my Treo 650.
This is an old model that had no magnets (that cause troube) with credit cards and so.
And it fit's just right.
I don't know if this is still available, i tried to find it on the palm's site and I cousd not find it.
I don't mind the leather case somewhat bloating out, however, I am bias to a leather case with the "opening/flap" on the vertical topside rather than on the horizontal long side. This is because as I place the phone back in the horizontal case, the slider opens more often causing the slider to get "loose" as time draws by. However, i do require a swivel mechanism on the leather case because i prefer it to be against my belt in a horizontal position while having the opening/flap on the vertical end. Unfortunately, the swivel mechanism breaks easily after 3-4 months of use and i wish there was a horizontal case with a permanent clip and a vertical end opening/flap.
I have a wizard and I bought a Krusell Cabriolet. I absolutely love it because it allows me quick access to my device and doesn't weigh much and isn't bulky.
I ummed and aaahed about a case for a long time because none on the market could properly handle the keyboard. Eventually I got tired of waiting and even though I have to remove the Wizard from my Cabriolet to use the keyboard, this only takes a few seconds. There is still nothing on the market that handles the keyboard, so don't hold your breath.
I've now also ordered the carholdikit accessory so I can clip it into my car quickly and use my wizard with a GPS for sat nav.
If you want a low profile case which provides the minimum of protection yet still gives you access, this is the best one around.
I can't be sure it will fit the TyTn, but because the tytn is longer, not wider, it should be OK. Also, the cabriolet has no protection on the top, so out of the cases reviewed below, it's the most likely to suit a TyTn.

I have the same (booklet type instead of topflip), you can order is directly from PDAIR on http://www.pdair.com/catalog/index.php and shipping is free.
Great case :!:
I use the Berghaus GPS Case for mine - it's very robust.

Sorry about the long url...

Currently using my old P900 case which is the Krusell 'Dynamic' model, fits the phone perfectly but the button holes are in the wrong places so I have to take it out of the case to use it - if only Krusell would make a version for the TyTn.
Looking for an alternative I found this one at IDS in Hong Kong which looks quite good.
At $25.00 USD including free delivery I thought I'd give it a try, it should arrive later this week.
They also do a Gel Skin just in case thats what anyone's looking for...
Update:
I received the case and have posted a more in depth review here

Thanks for that. Giving both of these a try (ordering as we speak), as they are exactly what I've been waiting for.
Nice! I've just ordered a gel skin for my TyTN 8)
Yeah that IDS one looks brilliant. Let us know how you get on with it, as i'll probably order one on your reviews.
If you want to go vertical, the RIM brand Leather Swivel Holster for 8700 Blackberry Series fits and works very well with the TyTN. I had been using it with the S200 for awhile. With the S200 it was little loose, but not too much so. With the TyTN it fits like it was custom made for it. I would point out that mine is well broken in from use. The cover wraps over the top of the unit and attaches with a very secure magnetic snap. I like the vertical case as it takes less space up on your belt. There is a ratcheting swivel that lets the unit move on your belt as needed but does not spin freely.
It is very well made and lined in some type of soft velvet like material. It holds the TyTN very securely. To take it out of the case, you can either give a slight push up from the open corners on the bottom of the case or you can take it out by grabbing it on the top at the two cutouts on both sides of the case. It has a well constructed built-in belt clip that securely will hold it on you belt without a lot of worry about falling off. It is constructed in a manner that keeps the case close to your belt and doesn't stickout excessively as may of the swivel cases do.
I got the case at an airport shop but found this link where it is on sale right now for $21.99 not including shipping:
http://www.blackberrysource.com/store/catalog.asp?item=285
I have had a lot of cases over the years including some high end models. For the money, I consider this to be one of the best that I have purchased.

Hi all,
Until we get some HD specific cases I thought it might be useful to list any iPhone 3g or other device cases/sleeves that fit. If you've used or are using something that is working please post with pics if possible!
Interesting, I was just coming to see if anyone knows if this one would be okay -

Someone said the main difference was the iPhones rounded corners, but this case seems to have space for more square corners... I guess the only concern for me would be if the audio out is still available.

We have already specific HD cases, they're flooded on the ebay and etc, e.g. http://www.pielframa.com/cases_htc_touch_hd.htm I'm planning to buy one from piel frama
Touch HD specific case
I like the carrymobile design: http://www.carrymobile.com/scripts/main/viewitem.php?itemid=O2TOHDLCFT2BK&pdaid=TOHD
PDAir has a couple of nice cases too: http://www.pdair.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=12404
I'm partial to a vertical case. The PDAair, while an elegant design, uses a "rail" mounting system, leaving the sensitive painted edge of our precious HS's exposed. The Carry Mobile completely covers the painted surfaces.
Krusell
I've just ordered this HD specific case (from ebay) - looks good as the front cover is removable and it is compatible with the Krusell clips (including a car clip - so you don't have to remove it from the cover to mount)
http://www.krusellcases.com/uk/p_krusell_product.aspx?i=175774
I'm planning to diy my own, with thin soft gray leather as lining, foam in between, and thicker red leather for the outside Will start work once I get my grubby paws on the THD this weekend. It should look very like Piel Frama's whole body protection, but the front will be a strip of leather that wraps around the sides, rather than Piel frama's top down approach
ie

When my prototype turns out great and people start raving about it on the internet, and I have a lot of spare time and have a convenient supply of raw materials. Maybe then....
Currently I only have scraps of fake leather, salvaged from old/cheap nothebooks. It's sad.... but the texture of the material feels great, especially the gray leather, so I'm happy

Is the carrymobile a legit site? I cant find out where they are from. Has anyone ordered from them?
I just ordered a brando crystal case that looks good on the available pictures.
http://shop.brando.com.hk/prod_detail.php?prod_id=03001&dept_id=004&cat_id=0003
^the case looks nice...but this crystal plastic....will it scratch the body of the phone...I mean It will leave marks specially at the side where the case is folding...and on the glossy shiny side of the phone....
What do you guys say?
I had one of those clear plastic shells on my N95. It did make the phone somewhat larger and dust got between it and the phone making it look really ugly. It didn't scratch the phone, but id worry about the painted areas of the Touch HD. I wouldnt use one.

I found more than one site reviewing Carrymobiles products - here's an example: http://gadgetmix.com/index/?p=771
Reseller ratings doesn't have a listing for them, but they usually are more for electronics and computer online stores.
I'm still thinking over my options, but I believe the Carrymobile to be a legitimate manufacturer and the site trustworthy for purchases. Just my opinion.
I'll just put in a recommendation for the Krusell Hector case. It's for the iPhone but it fits the Touch HD perfectly. It's also quite slim and comfortable to have on the belt, and it has a cutout underneath so pushing the HD up and into your hand is pretty easy. Also has two really strong belt loops, nobody's gonna yank the case off your belt without yanking the belt and your pants probably with it.
If you put the HD in it with the screen out, you can even have it in the case and listen to music via the 3.5 mm headphone plug, the port is nicely exposed. Usually I carry mine screen-in though.
http://www.krusell.se/product/3563
That krusell hector case... why does it have 2 sizes to choose from Iphone and Meizu M8?

what would you guys recommend as a decent protective yet slimline case for this device, preferably allow you to use the device whilst it's in the case. I've ordered the D2 but am deciding on what case to get

where can get??
www.zagg.com
thats where they are!
Invisishield
Wouldn't invisishield still require a case? It looks like the screen would still be very susceptible to dings, etc. that would kill the handwriting recognition.
I ended up ordering this:
http://www.blueunplugged.com/p.aspx?p=138216
and one of the silicone skins above. Got the leather case on me now. Pretty nice and a tight fit. Right side of it covers the end call button a bit but other than that it's all right. Would prefer if the leather was a bit thinner on the screen as it feels like it's recessed now. Regardless of that though I can still hit everything I want to on the screen so that's fine. The flip lid is hard and solid (must have thick card or something in it) so the screen is protected easily when it's shut. Also comes with space for memory cards and other plastic cards. Supplied with a removable screw on belt clip too! Doesn't add much bulk or weight to the phone and slips in nicely into my jeans pockets.
The best silicon cases are made by Capdase. I got my case for my HD a month ago. I checked, they don't have any yet but I am sure it will be available soon. What I will do is get a cheap replacement for now and wait for Capdase to come out with one. The one I have is non slippary and dust proof and and and it slips into my pocket nicely. Other silicon cases sticks to cloths and it's hard to get out of your pocket. It's not cheap, mine cost around $80 HKD which is around 6.50 GBP or 8 Euros. Hope this helps.
Nope

Nope.. I had one protecting my Diamond for 7 months... didnt effect ANYTHING. I dropped it a few times as well.
The IS is indeed very good
I have only seen it on a number if iPhones but it is as strong as they claim
We even tried the compass/knife test and scratched the hell out of it...or so we thought
It's very durable and did not damage the phone at all - Only downside is by the time it comes out (unless it is already), we'll all probably have a few light markings on it - no matter how well we keep it.
Something to note is the TD1 had a horrible procedure to apply it because of its curves/or lack of them ... I feel the TD2 will be much easier but lets see
Received my silicone case from xell_uk today ordered on the 30th April. Have to say it's a lot better than I thought it would be! Fits the D2 perfectly. Nice sized cut outs so you can easily access the ports and stylus and is snug and secure. Buttons are slightly more accessable as well compared to the other leather case I ordered. Device does look quite neat in this jacket too!

I've ordered my IS. Should arrive in a few days. http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield...es-screen-protectors-covers-skins-shields.php
I don't get it. Isn't the screen the most important part of the device? Why protect the back and sides only?
Can someone recommend a solution to this?
FYI all: I got the silicone case, and it DOESN'T fit perfectly around the device. On the left the case is a bit loose, so you can see the device peeking... this can be seen in pictures of the silicone casing everywhere. So be aware...
Having lost my Kaiser in a cab *twice* using a holster with just a belt clip (one slid off, the other snapped) I was very happy to find a case for it that had solid belt loops. I used it for my Raphael which I never lost but because the Raphael was a little thinner I couldn't really feel the vibration. But it was a good case. So I get the Rhodium and it doesn't fit in this thing so I set out to try to track one down -- first Apple, then Radio Shack, AT&T, Best Buy; no luck. And the ones they did have minus the loops were like thirty bucks. Yeah right! I live in Manhattan by the way.
Finally yesterday I found one of those nice African men who sell knockoff handbags and cheap sunglasses (and cell phone cases...) and asked him what he could do for me and he produced this which fit perfectly, asked for $7. I could have gotten him down to $5 but I was so psyched that I didn't haggle with him. The holster has no apparent identification but if one of you has a link for this case that I recommend that might be helpful here. Or if any of you really want this and can't find it I'll buy a couple more from this guy. I even took a picture for you:

Yes i have a caselogic that's "real leather" it cost $15..Very true i don't have to remove my entire belt to get it off lamo. The one clip it has is hard enough to take off my belt. ....It looks exactly like yours but of course that is the whole intent of knock offs.....I prefer real leather over pleather or what ever material that is ...Sorry my friend.... it is not real leather lol But i am not hear to bash you but to congratulate you on a case of your liking from a "African American" lol By the way....they are just African "Nigerian"......

I hate cheap leather cases. Most have exposed corners like that and fall apart quickly.
That one looks like the one I purchased several months ago:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4058856&postcount=71
I have purchased another one that just as decent and cheap too. I will post pics when I get my camera back from a friend.
yo my man, you may consider buying a new belt as well.
Found a similar awesome leather case with an absolute PERFECT fit at my local flea market for $4.95!
I was quite upset when I got my Tilt 2 and it came with everything but an extra stylus, carrying case, and headphones.
The belt holster posted earlier seems like a very good price for a solution, but I was browsing around and found this:

it's 5 dollars more unfortunately but it's OEM . The things I do just to have a brand, sigh!

I bought the same case as in the original first post (buying them for 2 years as I lost my samsung D600 phone one week after buying it due to no belt loops) and the case I received was the one in the post I am quoting now. OEM, yes, but tilt 2 will not fit. I traded the HTC OEM case for my ice case I have now. Total investment 8-10 bucks.
BTW, the baddass cheap case is cheap and more like a disposable case as the belt loops rip and the corners wear. Good price for a 3-4 month case though. I stock up when I find them that cheap.
im using my old mogul case and it fits perfectly. 0 dollars.
I bought almost the exact same case from a local mall kiosk. Works wonderfully (much smaller then the HTC Case I used to use for my HD). Also my body glove has been shelved as well.
I received my Sena Ultraslim Leather Pouch today. I was looking for a plain slipcover to put my Touch Pro 2 into. I wasn't looking for something big and bulky and protective. I wanted something thin and light with minimal bulk to keep the lint and key scratches off my TP2 while it's in my pocket. Comes in a plain box with a soft cotton draw string case and a note card with instructions on how to remove it from the case as well as a warning stating that as a real leather product it would be tight at first and will loosen up with use. It passes the leather smell test and the leather is soft and supple and feels nice.

Boy were the right about the tight fit. Very first use it was quite tight and very difficult to get the Rhodium into and out of the case. I have a Best SKins Ever on the front and rear of my phone. If you've never used one of these skins it's different then most in that it has a slightly rubbery texture. The added grip of the BSE and extra thickness I'm sure adds to the difficulty of removing the phone. After just an hour with the case it has already loosened up a little. It's still not easy to get the phone in and out of the case but it is definitely much easier already then the first time I used it. Hopefully the trend will continue.
You can see the case adds very little bulk to the phone. It's much thinner and less bulky then the OEM case that came with my phone. The stitching seems well done, even and straight. The materials feel like quality materials. Only complain on the fit and finish is how the corners don't quite contour to the shape of the phone. It's just a very minor quibble. All in all I'm quite happy with my purchase. I'll be sure to update this after some extended usage after I get to learn how it is to use every day.
Thanks for posting these pictures. You are right; the corners could fit a little tighter with a larger radius. I have a feeling that it would look much better as the leather stretches a little. Your TP2 looks like it is not sitting all the way to the bottom yet.
BTW. Your OEM case does not look bad at all. Too bad that my Tilt 2 did not come with any case.
Great review !
Very useful and nice pics
Thanks a lot
After only one day of use and the case has already conformed to the shape of my TP2 and is much easier to get it in and out of. Taking the phone out now is really easy, grab the phone by the side and push up from the bottom (detailed in the instructions) gets it half way out and you grab the case and pull it off. Hopefully it will hold up to long term use. It's pretty much exactly what I wanted for my phone. Much more pocket friendly then the HTC OEM case.
Thanks for the review and pics, i'm thinking of getting one of these posted to the UK so a good review is very much appreciated!
Cheers
i ordered the tan one friday night...cant wait for it !!!! looks much better than the one that came with it.
Thanks so much for the review and pics. Off to order one!
Ok, is it just me, or is SenaCases.com not working? I am getting a Yahoo domain park-type site. http://www.senacases.com/

this is what I get...
So I think I know what happened... there was a brief period where their site was down (domain renewal) and that is apparently the time when my work's proxy server cached the site. Now all i get is the cached version from the proxy server. When I pull up senacases.com on my phone I get the site. bah!
Thanks a ton... and coupon code!
Hey guys,
First thanks for the review and case link... I ordered a tan one and can't wait to get it rolling... also
DeoreDX,
Thanks for the mention on the BSE as well... I ordered one of those too.
I've got some info though for those looking to buy this SENA case.
COUPON CODE: PCWIPNK11
20% discount, or $6.00 off purchase price, plus the standard shipping turned out to be $28.98. Original price of the case is $29.99.
So free shipping + $1.01 off. Not as much as I hoped but certainly saves a bit.
Hope this helps some people out!
Thanks again for the info DeoreDX!
after a week of using this case I must say it's very pocket friendly and it seems to be durable.
very stylish and unique.
I ordered a tan one and it works great to protect the phone...
I'm not sure what a drop onto cement from my pocket would do but i'm sure it would be far less than a naked tp2.
thanks!

I bought the black one and love it but I'm really eyeballing the tan one hard. Sort of wishing I had bought the tan one myself. I swear the black one must be camouflaged and blends into everything and is impossible to find when I set it down lol
I get Sena cases website fine. They are a fabulous company. I was in a wreck several years ago, ejected from a car at 50 mph. The case save my Pocket PC of those days. The tab fell off a few days later. I emailed Sena to see if i could get it fixed. They shipped me a new one with a metal tab free in 2 days. I am a permanent customer.
Thanks for the review & I admit it's what I was looking for w/o realizing that was what I was looking for!

That link works for me, although I have no interest in this sleeve; I prefer to keep mine on my belt, with belt loops for secure attachment.

anyone know of a similar but cheaper pouch to this?
Quick Review...yes its copied from the other thread that I posted in. But I figure plagiarizing my own stuff is ok. Plus, there are pictures now!
Material: Definitely not real leather. Is PU Leather but doesn't feel "cheap" in the hand either! Inside of the case is a velvety "soft" material...I guess a cloth version of suede is the best way to describe it. (Definitely not Alcantara like the stuff I have in the bucket seats of my car.)
Workmanship: Can't complain here either surprisingly! I was expecting it to be well, just ok....but the stitching is straight and even, uniform distance from the edges (yeah I'm sure there are tenths of mm variations but...nothing distracting.) Holes for camera, proximity sensors, buttons, etc. are PERFECTLY aligned when the TF is properly inserted.
Closure: Magnetic...decent snap to it. There's magnets on BOTH ends of the case so it is quite secure.
Holding Mechanism: One of the weaknesses of this case. It has a flap that is on the landscape edge facing into the spine of folio case. Should have put a magnet or two in there to keep the flap more securely closed. Or Velcro. I think I'm going to add some velcro there myself. On the other hand, I think it is far better to have the flap on this side than along one of the portrait edges of the Tablet.
Stand angles: 2 actually, one inverted "low position" suitable for typing. One high angle for casual viewing I guess.
Conclusion: 1 thumb up--not two--because of the ridiculous pricing on these cases, $28 including shipping. Seriously, these things can't cost more than $5 in China where they are made.

Looks like there's a cutout in the tuck in flap but no cutout on the main cover. My guess is you can charge the transformer while in the case but that the cover has to be open.
Where did you get it? Was this one of the generic eBay ones?
I just got this case today (took about two weeks to arrive), and I'm thoroughly satisfied. It has holds for everything, even the Micro SD slot. Most importantly, the Transformer feels protected.
I just received mine today. I bought the brown version. It fits OK but overall the case is not of the highest of quality for instance there is a finger size mark on the front of the case. Can't help thinking in a couple of weeks the transformer will be slipping inside of the casehousing.
The listing on eBay said leather and I am going to complain and request a partial refund because it is definately not leather being some kind of ruberised finish and a joke of an attempt to show leather grain. I feel like I have been mislead....

Why are there so many people trolling the "FolioGuard" case in everyone else's threads? WTF? People KNOW there's the FolioGuard case. The point is THIS ISN'T THE FOLIOGUARD CASE AND IS A REVIEW OF A DIFFERENT CASE.
SoCalTiger, I got this one from eBay. Here is the link:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123#ht_5978wt_1018
I'm beginning to wonder whether this one IS genuine leather and NOT PU leather at all. I've "aired" it a good number of days and it STILL smells/feels like leather. The patterned marks don't seem to be pressed/printed into the case at all. There's a few other tests I can "run" to see if its real leather or not (including the "match" test, but I don't really want to ruin the case either).
Thanks!

Can you send/post the link for the one you ordered that you are not happy with? There DEFINITELY was NO option for "another color material" for this case. Just the variation in stitching color.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Asus-Eee-Pad-...I&otn=3&po=LVI&ps=63&clkid=419235527009776241
3 different colours. Think I saw your link to the seller originally or you posted on the same thread I was reading. They were selling different colours under another listing. Anyway from the pictures you posted it is identical to mine... I think the ebay listing is misleading regarding the material.
Are you sure it isn't leather? I haven't tried the melt vs. scorch test on it yet so I'm not 100% sure. It feels like a really thin layer of leather over a harder backing...

Okay, that's it. I'm going to report every single one of your posts to have them deleted. All you are doing it trolling with your links to the FolioGuard.
100% certain its not leather. Got a reply from the the seller saying it is pv leather (I understand this to be a man made material and will never have been anywhere near a cow) which is fine but they should state this al the way through the listing. I have asked them to amend the listing and requested a part refund. If not I will report them to eBay and see what think
I am sure most people would be happy with the case and i agree with your review it does a reasonable job of proteting the Asus. The stitching is good but there is a small defect on the front of my case which
i like this case, might have to get one
well I am happy with the case seeing as i have just received a full refund. I do not need to return it either. So feels like a bargain now! Just shows you it is worth complaining. I hope they amend the listing to make it clear this is not leather for other people.

My case arrived this weekend, but I guess I don't need to do a review either.
It's definitely a decent case for an alright price. Build seems good and does the job perfectly.
No complaints really.
Anybody know if this is the same case? http://electroniccrap.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=34_36&products_id=51
