Everday my phone goes off by iteself once. I don't know what is the problem. At first I thought it might be firmware related but I've switched 5-6 different firmwares and right now im on Cloudyfa's latest firmware and it still gives me this problem. Does anyone else face this problem?

Does it power off fully (as in shut down, and need to be restarted), or just turn off the screen?
I've the same problem on mine but me, for shure it's a battery problem. When it's turn off I must wait about 3 minutes to take it on or just plug it on AC charger. When I plug it, the LED blink once red and orange like a charge directly after one or two seconds and I can start/unplug my phone how is generaly at 45~65 % charged.
Not everyday cause it's only a test phone (I use Artemis) but every long test (stability in full chargeor overclocked) too much ressources are needed from my (hold) battery and it lock the alimentation. The Red Light is for hardware problem, that sure
So at the moment of the power off plug it intoo wall charger and say to me what is the reaction.
Sorry for bad English
l3v5y, it powers off. I have to restart or sometimes even soft reset to get it up again.. Perhaps its the battery too?

i had the issue where my dopod rebooted by itself even though the power meter was still at around 40-50%. As time goes on, it got worst. So I replaced my 1 1/2 year battery to a new one. Problem solved. So I agree wilth l3v5y.
FYI
Thanks mate! I shall try replacing the battery and see how it goes! cheers

Were you running lots of programs? Is the battery (relatively) new?
Hello
I live in israel and I buy my galaxy tab from US a couple weeks ago.
but in the last few days, my tablet won't turn on.
I tried everything that was writen on the fourms and tried to do everyting but still it won't turn on.
The only thing that it's happend when I connect it to the PC so is recognize it as APX MODE. I tried to do NVFlash but all the item I get :
nvflash --sync or nvflash --bl bootloader.bin --go just result in the message
Nvflash started
rcm version 0X4
Command send failed (usb write failed)
I obviously bricked my P7510 to a near death status (black screen, no backlight, no logo, no nothing). The only response from the tab is a APX device showing up in the device manager.
What can I do ?! Please help !!
Thanks.
Just in case you missed my post a while back, try this:
Hold in the power button for five seconds... then while continuing to hold that in, hold in the volume down button for eight seconds...then let up the volume down button and continue to hold the power button in. It works for me.
Unless your battery is dead. Have you left it charging (theoretically) overnight, to make sure it has some juice for this procedure?
I've heard and experienced randomly that sometimes putting your finger on the screen while trying to boot helps.
Just hold that power button endlessly. Something will happen.

The GT was 2 days in charge... I tried to do that but still... nothing...
I have a final idea for you take your tab and set it on your coffee table.. Put a drink on it and enjoy the most expensive coaster youve ever bought.

I guess your tab have "Sleep of Death" issue.
Try draining your battery
Try searching for "Sleep of Death", you will get many threads with solutions

Hi guys,my brother has the active, and today he just found it dead in his pocket. No turn on,no lights, just a small vibration bump when holding the power key.Any clues?
I've changed battery,SEUS won't detect the phone. However,Flashtool detects a SE phone when I'm holding the volume key.
It was never rooted, just stock firmware.
Any clues?Please help

This thread should go in general not development.
Now i would say that if he never modified the phone and if it still have warranty to take it to a sony ericsson service center that would be his best option.
Try taking the battery out for a few minutes, and by a few i mean something like 5 minutes, then try turning it on.

Remember to try to turn it on, while the battery is out... that will help to drain the capacitors for energy.

Small vibration when pressing the power button is completely normal. It means, that you don't have to hold the button more...
What happened before this occured?

it was in his brother pocket i don't think he done anything they never do when something goes wrong
just kidding i think there's something wrong from factory and if he don't want to take it back for me the next step will be to try and flash generic firm using wotan server.
Because smaller brother's tend to lie, and since this is a waterproof phone, before sending it to get fixed, make sure that the humidity stickers on the inside of the phone and on the battery are still white and not pink/red.

And if in service they notice, that phone was opened before?

What? You dont have to unscrew anything to see them. The one on the phone is just on top of the SD card, and the battery one is visible with the battery inserted, from the gap that the Sim card hole has.
Be cool guys,I've "interrogated" him,and I don't think he done anything.
Stickers are fine, and the phone is just 3 months old.Well,it's going to service on Monday. It's just so strange to die like that.
By the way, yesterday in the evening it started to blink red.I've put it on charger and the led soon became yellow, but hte phone still won't turn on.I've replaced the battery with a fresh 100% one from my X8,and still no effect. The battery from the Active is also fine,my X8 works with it,and it's about 70%.
What happens after the vibration during the power button?

I seriously am lost right now. My phone was working just fine, running the Sense 7 rom by santod040 for weeks, and I just tried to unlock my phone just now, and the screen is completely black no matter what I do, I can hold the power button for like 5 minutes and it won't turn off. The charge indicator doesn't come up when I charge it, it doesn't show up on my PC. Nothing.
Can anyone help?
My phone is probably at a very good charge and if its just going to be in sleep this would take a ridiculous amount of time to die.

Doesn't make any sense though. It's clearly on because the notification light is green, which leads me to believe its booted into the OS but is just somehow mad locked up. Guess I'll just wait for it to die and see what happens..

Ah, you managed to leave out that little detail earlier (or I missed it). When you hold volume down and power for one minute do the capacitive keys flash?

Have you tried using ADB to try and reboot your phone?

The phone finally died and I was able to charge it. It wouldn't respond no matter what computer I plugged it into or what button combination or for however long I had them held. I just hope it doesn't happen again. It took over 24 hours for it to die.
Hi,
One of my S5 now shows a black screen. The LED and buttons shows up briefly when I press the power button. If I reboot the phone a few times, it will work once in a while. But once the screen dims off, it will not come back.
I've followed the steps on https://thedroidguy.com/2016/07/fix-samsung-galaxy-s5-black-screen-death-troubleshooting-guide-1062341 but it does not help
Is there any other thing I can try before I give up?
Thanks
I had that happen. It was a bad connection on the digitizer to mobo cable. Once I reset it it was back to normal.
