I just received a brand new Vodafone 1605 and I would like to ask what is the best recommended rom to upgrade to?
I currently have:
ROM Version: 1.20.161.5
ROM date: 06/06/06
Radio version: 1.13.00.00
Protocol version: 32.49.7018.00W
What do you think?

you think that It's better to install this version: 1.20.162.3 found here: http://www.vodafone.de/downloadarea/HER_VODA_1201623_1030700_GER_SHIP.exe ???

I have Jabra 250 and Sandisk Wifi, so need upgrade that don't mess up with those two accessories.
I would like to upgrade to:
Latest and most stable ROM:
which one should I choose? v.1.72 or v. 2.02 or v. 2.06
I also want to upgrade to WM2003SE and I already download 3 different files and which one to choose? I upload the screen shots of those 3 zip files.
I also already download 2 Extended ROM: Customized_WM2003SE_Asian_Edition_Version2 and Extended_ROM_172181_Custom. So, which one should I choose? If I choose Customized_WM2003SE_Asian_Edition_Version2, should I install version 1 first or is it alrite to just install those version2?

Hi guys. I have the following:

ExtROM Version: 1.60.44
Of course, I don't know what any of that means but would appreciate one of the Gurus on this site to suggest a suitable upgrade for me. Something tried, tested and suitable for technophobes like me (ie simple download, copy to device and run .exe?).
I am living in Singapore so a suitable Asian version please.
Also, does anyone have any problem with the ringtones on the XDA II (Himalaya)... I am forever missing calls because it just doesn't seem loud enough. My old mobile/hand phone had the neighbours complaining of noise pollution.
Is there a solution for this?

Try the SE CHS version, located on the FTP site. You should.
I had the same exact device information

and tried the CHS translated and it made the screen all skippy and it was impossible to setup, etc. So what I did was I just used the genuine wm2003se in the wiki and created my own extended rom, much easier ;D
Hi guys, quite new here can someone please tell me where can I get the latest ROM version for my XdaII so I can replace the old version I have. It already giving me problems, my unit always freeze maybe because of this old version I have. Thanks
