I try to unlock the X01HT
I could downgrade the bootloader from 1.09 to 1.04
I ran the HTC_Hermes_SIM_Unlock_v2a.zip,after reset the phone,
the simlock is still locked.
It would remind you to input the unlock code，after type “22051978”，there is no "OK" to enter
I tried to unlock it by type instruction with mtty.exe,
but got

have you tried installing SB_USIM.cab? dunno if that makes any difference, but the "input security code" does come up with the softbank phones, and the SB_USIM.cab just cancels this screen from coming up.. and you should be able to use simcards from other carriers..
I havent upgraded to bootloader 1.09 yet.. probably will wait until some things are cleared up first..

i have not try SB_USIM.cab,because i thought this file could not do help.Just as you said,firstly the phone is still locked.
I tried to put a docomo usim card in it,but it could not work.
I just think the original new x01ht(bootloader 1.09) simlock mightbe different with the old x01ht(bootloader 1.06) or the one upgrade from 1.06 to 1.09

Where did you bought it today?!? I checked whole west Tokyo area today, nowhere to be found!
I'm thinking the New X01HT has different sim-lock system.
If anybody has Old X01HT, please check this version that
display a few second after soft-reset.
My New X01HT version is,

R 1.14.00.10 = Radio ROM version

can you check the ROM version please? It might be that SB sells the new badge of X01ht with Version 1.33.761.4/1.14.00.10 installed.

I also bought one today. They were going to put it in my hands, then said they have to wait for up to 2 weeks to allow for an update to be made. I wish I had already been reading these forums because I could have tried to tell them that I would do the update myself.
I think you just have to find a shop worker that takes pity on you and is not too much of a yes(wo)man to anonymous instructions that come from up the line.
I bought mine in Jiyugaoka - they claimed they had none - then when upstairs to get me one after I said I was amazed that they were out of stock at the very beginning of a weekend.

if you could downgrade the bootloader from 1.09 to 1.04, you can burn another rom from another company, can't you?
can you burn, say, the docomo rom, and then, try unlocking?
i did not check the unlock status of my x01ht, but i could downgrade the bootloader from 1.09 to 1.04 and burn the docomo rom after i burnt this new softbank rom onto my unlocked x01ht.
if you do a Master-reset,your X01HT will be locked,
and can not unlock again!!!!

i don't understand what you are telling us. what is master-reset? you meant hard-reset?
my unlocked x01ht is still unlocked after burning the new x01ht rom and burning the docomo rom again...

quick question..
I seem to remember the new ROMs having some sort of new settings for the open.softbank thing.. so by burning on the new ROMs and then switching to the docomo ROM, will the open.softbank settings be there as well? I havent tried the new ROMs yet if you're wondering..

Hey all, Leaf Wireless, the new agents for HTC in South Africa seem to be on the ball. They have just posted the second ROM update in 3 weeks.
This one fixes a few issues including a voice message notification that was not on the older version.

Since this posting HTC Europe have announced a new ROM for HTC TyTN devices for release at the end of Jan 2007.(See my post elswhere). So before you go updating your ROM's with the ones presently available-hang on for a couple of weeks. I believe from my sources that this one is worth waiting for.
This news I got directly from HTC Europe and was confirmed by our local distributor. (who is pro-active!)
HTC claim it will resolve " all known issues"

Looks like the South African HTC distributors lead the way in updates for the TyTN.
Maybe you can advise what's changed on this latest ROM update. - The voicemail notification is great - no more missed voicemails.
I had no problems in flashing the ROM and I am a novice!

I am having a look at it now, but I'm at work and have not much time, at first try I saw that bootloader version has changed to 1.09 and Build date for this bootloader is "Nov 7 2006 22:59:17".
Will post details when I have more time to look into it.

It seems that once bootloader 1.09 is installed it is impossible to downgrade it even with the firmware with the same CID as a device and lower version numbers. The radio stack and the rest downgrades fine, but bootloader stays 1.09. Damn... Should have followed the unlock procedure while had 1.04.
this mean that if I install tjis rom and my phone don't work with Softbank Sim I can't reinstall other type of rom again?

Yes that would appear to be the wise thing to do! Unlock the phone and set permanent SuperCID with Pof's v2.0a unlocker, then try this rom. The phone should stay unlocked and superCID will stick.

You can reinstall other types of ROM with the CID matching yours, but even if you do your SPL won't be downgraded. I just confirmed it by reflashing two slightly different WWE ROMs - Bootloader stays SPL 1.09 no matter what you do!!!
UPDATE: Upgrading to bootloader 1.09 also means that Radio-only ROM upgrade is also out of the question.
Just want to summerize the situation for existing 1.09 owner of X01HT, the current state of the unlocking process is follows:
1) Unlock 1.09 can ONLY be done by imei-check (GBP $20)
2) After unlocked, your device will be SUPER-CID
3) Then it can be flashed BL MFG 1.01 in order to upgrade BL to 1.09 for
upgrading the radio rom (currently only radio ver. 1.27 can be flashed)
OR if you dun need the phone function, just want to use PDA instead BUT want to use your desire language rom (Chinese, French etc.....)
1) You need this software "DownGrade_SPL.rar" to downgrade your BL to
1.04 in order for you to be able to flash other language OS.
2) "DownGrade_SPL.rar" can be found on the search engine like google or
china search engine like baidu.com.......

It's a bit better than this.
With SuperCID & 1.01MFG BL you can easily go to 1.04 BL. Instructions on this are in the Wiki and the 1.04BL itself is included in the 1.01MFG bl download.
The bootleg 1.04bl downgrade solution is no longer required!
or... If you're more technically inclined you can flash using 1.01MFG bootloader...
you can extract os.nb from the rom of your choice using pof's nbhextract tool then just flash it directly using the "lnb" command in the 1.01MFG bootloader. Instead of 30 minutes, this will take < 5 minutes.
While you're at it, change your splash screens too
May I ask one thing? If I already in 1.04. Could I use the unlock from IMEI directly?? Furthermore, I can' input chinese. Are your PPC OK?

#2 is unlocking the phone, but if you need to upgrade the radio version, it is better to do the #3 process as MFG 1.01 let you just upgrade the BL itself instead of FULL ROM upgrade. Of course, if you are satisfy with your current radio version, #2 will be just fine.

If you read first post carefully you can see that fta64 wants to find out if the phone is CID unlocked; he doesn't mention unlocking it...
The pics you see is of a program that uses itsme utils and that allows what most tools already do. There's really nothing new about it; only a nice, easy user-interface to make it easier for noobs to read CID, unlock SIM, etc...
So unless istme or someone else finds a way to unprotect the DOC chips partitions you won't be innovating with my prog

You can use ShellTool to extract the OS part from an RUU file and flash it to the phone. IPL/SPL will remain the same but OS will be upgraded

Any help would be appreciated.

Are you sure you have a G4 phone ? why I ask this is cuz lokiwiz02b doesn't work on a G4 device and SIM/CID unlock it ? only lokiwiz03 MSL works on G4 phone but can only SIM unlock code is generated and still can't CID unlock the phone,infact a G4 device cannot be at all CID unlocked,how did you upgrade to XM6r5 Rom ? plz explain accurately and post the present IPL/SPL ...?

What exactly you want to do,if you just want to get SIM unlock code,then use lokiwiz03a to generate a SIM unlocking code,but if you want to upgrade it to any latest wm6 rom,use the 'SoftSPL' or 'HardSPL' method,its not possible to CID unlock a G4 phone.
Download the 'WST Tool' and run the 'CID Action' button to verify the CID locked/unlocked status of your phone.
BTW, whats the present IPL/SPL...? of the phone. As you say you have flashed wizard_love Rom,whats the status of the phone ?

What kind af unlock are you talking about ?
Is it the Security unlock, the CID unlock or a SIM unlock ?
Please describe the procedure you did so we should be able to tell you if something was wrong.
If it was the security unlock, have you thought reflashing your old Radio (1.58.xx or 1.65.xx depending on your ROM) ?

do you have a Japan eMonster HTC Niki?? if yes ... you have overwrite your GSM offsets. in the moment is for this type of niki no fix avaliable!

NIKI200 was locked to TMO UK.
So, original ROM was "RUU_Nike_TMO_UK_2.06.110.2_Radio_NikeMR_1.65.28.25_signed_Ship".
I just try to unlock sim and cid with this program:

After I see "Security unlocked" and without checking network level I flash with Russian ROM "RUU_Nike_HTC_RUS_2.09.411.1_Radio_NikeMR_1.65.28.25_signed_Ship.
After that phone can not register network - I try with differend sim cards but.
I flash back RUU_Nike_TMO_UK_2.06.110.2_Radio_NikeMR_1.65.28.25_signed_Ship" and try to relock with Niki Security Relocker - same problem - no network.
May be unlocker for NIKI100 (I have NIKI200)

After I see "Security unlocked" and without checking network level I flash with Russian ROM "RUU_Nike_HTC_RUS_2.09.411.1_Radio_NikeMR_1.65.28.25_signed_Ship.
After that phone can not register network - I try with differend sim cards but.
I flash back RUU_Nike_TMO_UK_2.06.110.2_Radio_NikeMR_1.65.28.25_signed_Ship" and try to relock with Niki Security Relocker - same problem - no network.
May be unlocker for NIKI100 (I have NIKI200)

I don't think that is the problem I think you forgot to remove your simcard, I'm not sure there is an solution for this but I will search and see if I can help you.
