after my KJAM got totally scratched, i've decided to replace it using my extended warranty. i had a G3 device and i've recived a G4 one. I know about the big rom disadvantage of the g4 but was wondering, are there any advantages to this chip at all?

Hey all, I am very interested in this phone, but I have a question...
I had the Z1s on T-Mobile, and as far as I remember, it wasn't rootable, and I couldn't put my custom rom on there. Is this possible with the Z2? I would love to have a stock Google rom on there if possible, as I am not a fan of the Sony skin and bloatware, but I am loving the phone design, and camera.
Just make sure you buy one with an unlockable bootloader (not carrier branded) and root is no problem

I'm also looking at getting a Z2 to use on T-Mobile in the US. I hope this unit you linked to is bootloader unlockable. Is this the lowest price you have found? I'm searching high and low for the best price before pulling the trigger.

Hey guys, so I just bought a used lg g3, which looks like its brand new actually. It's the tmo d851 version. I was wondering where I can buy a spare oem battery? I don't mind paying a bit more to know that's its a legit battery and not some fake one. I also wanted to know if anyone knew if batteries are interchangeable between different versions of the g3?
Yes they are interchangable. My T-mo G3 has the same battery model as my Korean G3 Cat6.
Have you tried asking your local t-mobile and other carriers?

OK that's good to hear. No I haven't asked. I've done a search on their websites but they all say out of stock or don't even carry it. I decided to try a 3rd party OEM. I got an anker brand 3000mah battery on amazon and so far so good. Battery last as long or longer than original battery. Probably because its new. Now I'm just trying to figure out what I could get to carry the spare battery. Anyone know of a spare battery case that's slim enough and pocketable?

I found the G5 to meet my requirements but it seems there are a ton of models and I'm not quite sure which one is good? I intend to root/rom/etc so which one would you guys recommend getting for someone with T-Mobile? Thanks in advance

The H830 is the T Mobile model and is rootable, and you can unlock the bootloader, the only other one I am aware of is the H850, only the EU model can be unlocked

Besides the H830 (which TMobile doesn't sell any longer the only other US model that is unlockable is the RS988. B&H photo has them on sale for 250 right now. They are brand new with full warranty. I just bought one from there last month which I rooted an am using on Verizon. I had the VS987 prior and also the H830. Which I rooted. But had an issue getting it sim unlocked for other carriers. The only thing that the RS988 can't do is wifi calling but I've never needed that anyway. The RS988 I got from B&H also was manufactured in 3/2017 so they have newer builds not old stock laying around. Verizon recently stopped selling this phone as well so it's only a matter of time before there are no new ones left.

Thinking I will stick with the G5 since I have 360 cam, spare battery, case, and the price is low now. I am on T-mo with an H830 model. Wondering if I should buy the same or a different variant. Any thoughts?

If you are talking about GPS signal reception, than thats a manufacturing defect affecting mostly all G5 models.
If you are talkimg about cellular reception, then you have no choice other than the H830, unless you can import a europian unlocked H850 if you want quicker official software updates, I'd assume you'll root it afterwards you buy the phone, ao just stick with another H830.
I've already bought the g5. But unfortunately I'll have to sell it because I have the Verizon version which one is unrootable. It's vs987. I'll sell this off and buy a new one. Which model is the best for rooting and custom roms? I'm a hardcore root user.
