Qtek 8500 ROM 3.6.251 [QUESTION] - HTC Startrek

Hey all,
I just have few questions about ROM upgrade.
1a) First of all, I would like to ask, if someday I give my phone for repair, if they can see that I upgraded ROM or not.
1b) If a) is true, then is there a way how to backup my current ROM?
2) The latest ROM is 3.6.251 from Dangard. Does anybody know what are the changes?
3) I have 1.02.261.1 ROM in my phone. Am I also affected by the missed calls problem? I recieve calls quite often, so I didn't have time to keep my phone untouched for several hours as described in other forums.
Thanks a lot

[Q] G1 problem

Hi, i have a problem with my G1. I have rooted it and installed some of custom roms. It works fine for a while and later it stucks sending and receiving sms and calls... Maybe you know how to fix it?
Do you mean that it freezes when you send and receive calls and texts? and also, has it done this on multiple roms or just one? If it is only on a specific rom then you should try posting this in the G1 forum Q/A with the name of the rom in the title. The author might be able to help you.
If it's on every rom it might be that you are using a newer version of android (or variant) with an older version of the radio or some issue with your radio all together. Have you looked for the most recent radio and flashed it?
Thank you for your answer. It stops sending/receiving calls and sms after some time using it. When I reboot it works great for some time and then again same thing... I have this problem with all roms that I tried... I used radios that was written in roms description.
Do I need to flash the radio and spl again, when I do the wipe/factory reset thing, before loading new rom?

[Q] Phone calling & functions lost. How to reflash stock ROM?

Hey guys!
I'm getting asked here through a phone call if a Lumia 710 can be reinstalled to stock ROM. Reason is the phone seems to have locked various functions including phone call (which is like WTF?). In any case, reflashing stock ROM should solve it, right? and if so, what would be the procedure? I'm assuming it's a stock 710 already, the owner is not tech-savvy as far as I know.
I did a quick google & forum search before asking this, but since I didn't see this reason as a reason for flashing a stock ROM that's why I'm asking, as I wanna be on the safe side.
Any help & suggestions are welcome!
Thanks in advance!

[Q] Help rooting and installing rom Huawei y300

Hello there, how are you?
My problem is, I received an Y300 as a gift, haven't yet received it but I want to prepare the necessary things to root it and install custom roms on it. No, this isn't the first phone I install a custom rom to, as I have already played with an Optimus L5 of a friend. Could you please answer this questions?
a) How do I root the phone and install CWM or other recovery? I have found many tutorials but they are confusing, and require waiting for 2-3 days for the code to unlock the bootloader. In case you need to know, it probably is the normal Y300, the international one, so no Asian Model
b) How many ROMS are there for this phone? I like Cyanogenmod and stock roms the most, I can barely stand the stock rom in the phone, so I would like to install a new ROM on it ASAP.
c) By flashing the new ROM, do I lose IMEI or something like that (EFS Folder in Samsung phones)? If so, how can I back it up?
Thanks for your help

This was all I needed, I've found a CM11 Rom in the Modaco forums, hope it works well. Just got to wait until I get the phone
Okay, so I downloaded the latest nighly of the ROM, but it appears that CM11 is not very stable and has many problems with SystemUI (statusbar) and other things. Aren't there any ROMS for the Y300 on XDA? Also, will I lose my network connectivity if I do the wipes (data, cache, dalvik cache)?
Again, thanks for all your help, I appreciate it
EDIT: Found CM10.1 here in XDA but it redirected me to Modaco, however it is quite stable, downloading now. So which wipes do I have to do, in order to get everything smooth? Also, as I said will I lose my network connectivity or IMEI if I do these wipes, or I can do this without worrying

[Q] A few questions about the Note 2

Hello, Im new here, Just heard about XDA and how its the best forum (knowledge-wise) out there. I dont have enough knowledge and experience with smartphones (Im more of a PC freak, building and hardware and stuff) but smartphones are a whole different subject.
lately Im having some "hangings" on my Galaxy Note 2 (N7100, 4.1.2 stock) it started when browsing firefox, and continuing to Whatsapp, it started freezing for a minute or so.. (which is quite a long period of time like u probably know.)
I started checking the whole Root&ROMs subject, and also found out that there's a way to update my phone to Android 4.3 JellyBean.
so here are my q's , What is the most CURRENT stable OFFICIAL OS (from what I saw online there's no 4.4.2 for Isarel-ILO (if it matters at all? Because I've seen a few official EU versions from various countries) and people just get a custom ROM of 4.4.2 to run it and also that quite a few ppl on here had some issues with it and were pretty happy about 4.3. So what do u think ?
also, I will probably need the best ROM for the OS you will recommend next (from what I read ROMs can boost phone performence) but I am not sure about it yet
but I am certain that I'm gonna root my phone, but can u tell me exactly how does rooting help ? I mean in which aspects and such..?
Thank you very much in advance, 73RM1N470R.
** just fyi, I figured I'd hard reset my phone and then update the Android to 4.3/4.4.2 which would help the hanging issue , and then root it. (not 100% sure about the ROMs..)

NO Sound after installing any custom Rom on S3 Galaxy US Cellular HELP!!!

Hello everyone,
I am running into an issue where if I install a custom rom on my phone, I get no sound whatsoever. No sound from the speaker nor the earpiece. Also, related to having no sound, any app or anything I do relating to sound won't run or work on the phone strangely. (like Youtube for example, won't run)
Everything else works fine.
I tried multiple roms, and all of them ran into the same issue. When I reverted back to the stock rom or the backup I made fortunately, I get sound but I am lost as to why I get no sound from my S3 device with a custom rom. ALSO, when I do revert back to my old stock rom, I get a lot of gapp crashing for unknown reasons. So basically the phone is a DUD .
My Samsung Galaxy S3 device is model: SCH-R530U for US cellular. I hope I can find someone here who knows how to fix this issue =\.
Could it be that the Roms I installed don't have the sound drivers packaged? I made sure the Roms were compatible and all but I am not so sure since I guess I'm not really that experienced in Android.
Someone please help! I have had this issue for months with no solution or no way to fully revert back to a fresh stock rom with apps not crashing on me.
Bump, anyone?
I may be a couple years late but this means the ROM you flashed is not actually for d2usc
