Im thinking about flashing the OS from faria-htc wizard...WWE WM6 ROM-
To my CID locked g4.
Question I have is, if i want to revert or it goes wrong, can I flash the official o2 rom back to the phone frm the bootloader.

I have US Tmobile and moved over to Underground Edition. Through trial and error I did have to go back to the Tmobile 2.26 ROM which you can dload from their site. Put your phone in bootloader mode and flash it back to the original Rom using the update utility. I am loving WM6.

I flashed my tytn tmobile dutch phone to the cingular 1.34 but want to go to the original english Tmobile rom (no problem with vender id)
any one has the original rom available for me?
This cingular rom freezes the phone often!
Often, you can't upgrade until an official ROM was made by T-Mobile.
As far I know T-Mobile hasn't made ROM upgrades yet.
I could be wrong though, and interested in such an upgrade.
Every few hours my phone now is stuck!!! I hate this rom and videocalling is off....
I made a mistake upgrading to bootloader version 1.06... I need an official rom now...
Is there any other way?

Check the wiki, there are a some roms available there.
you cant flash another rom since the 1.06 bootloader enforces Vendor ID checking! otherwise i would have changed allready....
Ok guys please be gentle, ive tried searching and posting previously with no success.
I have purchased a 2nd hand Wizard which is an O2 badged sim unlocked unit being used with an Orange sim. I know I have a G4 device from following the guides and I know that somewhere on this site there are links to manufacturer roms which I will need before I can start playing, I just cant find them.
So....
Can someone please provide a link to the latest WM5 Orange Rom and is there a WM6 manufacturer version that will work with the CID locked G4 device?

You sure first SIM unlocking your G4, then use shelltool to flash a WM6 ROM as you wish (No official WM6 ROM is available, and will never be).
Since it's a O2, you can revert to WM5 (That is needed when you need to flash other WM6 ROM) by using official RUU for O2.
Thanks, I take it there isnt an official orange wm5 to restore it back to available then? Is there?
To be honest I would have liked to start by just going from an O2 rom to an Orange one and then upgrade to wm6.
Well i've just updated my G4 CID_locked mob with official T-mobile rom. Now my G4 have IPL/SPL 3.08.001 bootloader. Is it safe to upgrade with safe wm6 rom ? I guess it will be couse it want overwrite bootloader, but just to be sure i want to get confirmation
New t-mobile rom is: RUU_Prodigy_3821_382124_026911_TMO_HR_WWE_Ship
But unfortunatly it is WM5 rom.
i upgrade my g4 wizard to wm6 (TNT 5.0 Rom)
and its work great.

How on earth did you get that IPL/SPL? Did you CID unlock your G4?

This downgrade means reverting to your stock ROM. You stock ROM can be flashed to your device. (However you should remove HardSPL first because I don't know if it will cause RUU to treat your device as a G3).
However if this is your first time of HardSPL and you are already using stock ROM (i.e. never flashed), you can go ahead to flash WM6.

1.i already patched with hard spl and i have a wm6 rom but before change wm6 roms i must downgrade to wm5 but i don`t know what is my old wm5rom and i suppose(but not sure)it was in german language so if i want to remove hard spl i must know for sure my old rom or there is another way to do that?
2.i don`t understand why i must downgrade everytime before upgrade to a new rom ,so if you enlight me i will thank you very much.
3.do you think the hard spl solution for ``unlocking``g4 wizards will brick my device?

I want to back to the original rom too but im not sure i have already a cid unlocked g4 o2 mini s but the strange thing its when im in device info it says its wizard100 but im sure its a g4 so thats matters? thanks for your help.
so its there a problem if i go back to original o2minis iplspl or i have problems because in my device is wiz100 at the back of the battery said it is wiz200 what can i do please help.

Which is your device,G3 or G4 ?
If you have a CID locked G3 phone,there's no need to use 'ShellTool',the T-mobile is also an official rom with its own extended rom,it'll flash easily,just flash it straight without shelltool.

I have tryed running the official RUU, but get an error message, because I think the device is CID locked. That is why I used shelltool (and also tryed soft SPL and hard SPL without any luck flashing the comeplete ROM)
As I said, I can flash the OS ROM using shelltool, but not extended ROM. Is it possible to flash the whole RUU?
I've been searching the various forums to see if there is a (free) method of CID unlocking a G4 device, but I think many may have lost interest with the wizard with all the other devices coming out.

G4 device cannot be CID unlocked,if you want to upgrade or install any other rom use 'SoftSPL' or 'HardSPL',
YES ! you can only flash 'nk.nbf' (OS files) only with SoftSPL or HardSPL,but Extended_rom is not possible.

Hence my question
