3125 Help with blinking Green Light and start up shut down sounds - HTC Startrek

For the blinking green light, I have read and tried to down load the application to my computer with no luck. Do I need to put this in Active Sync after it down loads to my computer. If so then where? Then What?
Also, I would like to know how to permently turn off the start up and shut down sounds.
I have never messed with the registry and really need help with step by step instuctions. Is there any web sites with insturctions?

good question id like to do the same

To fix the stupid blinking green light, look for a program called DontForget version 2.

Problem With Himalaya

My Mobile Screen is blank and is not turning on. It happened by it self, I was not upgrading nor charging. Only thinking I can tell is that when ever I'm charging it is showing RED light instead of Yellow. If I remove the battery and put it on cardle to charge, cardle will show that the battery is Full by GREEN Light.
I hope it can be fixed. Would appreciate if some one can help me ASAP.
Thankx in advance
try softreset
try hardreset
try leaving the batt out for a long time
I tried all that but still same. Neither Soft nor Hard reset or taking the battery out. Nothing on the screen, its blank.
Unfortunely i having the same problem, i suspect the backup battery problem ....
how do we change the backup battery?
can we do it by ourselves/non-professionals?
what type is the backup battery?
Where can we order from?
I am also having the same problem, perhaps someone can shed some light?
thanks,

1. Yes you can change the backup batt by youselves. You'll need to unsolder two contacts from the mainboard
2. Bat. type is Maxell ML2016T17
3. Do not know where to order (here in Russia it to hard to find such type of the backup battery).

But can we be sure that the problem is in the backup battery. Because I have the same problem, I am unable to start my hima, and when I try hard reset or soft reset the screen just lits white and stays white for 15seconds, and if I put it on a craddle, it stays lit for 3 minutes (these are the values I had set in the power management). Other than that, and the yellow led light showing that the hima is charging, I'm unable to do anything at all. I am not even able to clean the registry hive (by pressing camera, record and reset button) nor even enter bootloader mode(d-pad, power button and reset)
Just as I'm typing, the yellow led light in the corner turns green, telling me that my battery is full. And that's it
I'm all ears and eyes guys, thanks,
J.

No this is not a backup battery problem 100%.
Seems that something wrong with the screen and connection of the screen to a motherboard. You can try to disassemble your Hima and check the screen connection.
Some question(s) to identify you problem?
Are you able to create a connection with activesync while hima is in craddle?

I sent my hima to a service repair center to check the soldering on the mainboard. It's not an authorized repair center, as there's none in Macedonia, it's a place for repairing digital cameras and stuff. It's the place where they changed my bottom connector few months ago, so I thought that the problem might be in the connector soldering (something loossened or something) but , I was told yesterday that the hardware seems ok and there's no problem whatsoever with the connectors and the m/b. This is how it all started:
My problem started a week after I upgraded to tofclock's 2k5 2.01wwe, and after altering the shell.exe file and the registry in order to get the clock shown in the title bar instead of the battery indicator. So after couple of days enjoying the 2k5, one morning my phone turned off, and I couldn't power it. I tried soft reset, tried hard reset, nothing. So I thought I should reflash it, but I couldn't enter b/l mode. I try leaving the battery out for some time (couple of hours) and when I place it back, the screen turns on, just a plain white light for about 15 seconds, and then turns off again. If I try hard reset, the screen lights up again (white screen, no image or anything) and after 15 seconds turns off and so on. I noticed that when the screen lights up after hard reset, if I place the hima in the cradle, the white screen stays on for 3 minutes, and this was exactly my settings in the power management(15seconds on battery, 3 mins on craddle), and the led light in the upper right corner is yellow, and after some time, it turns to green, as in battery charged. Active sync doesn't recognize the phone, I can't get serial screen, and nothing other than what I described in this post. I've tried hundreds of times the entire procedure, but nothing still.
Any ideas. Thanks,
J.
Latest news:
After many attempts to enter b/l, I wasn't successful. Now I placed the device in the cradle, the screen turned white as usual, the amber light turned on, and I received a message in the system tray in my pc the a new hardware was detected, and that XP is instaling..... After that, I received a message that the new device is Windows based Mobile Device.
And then, xp created a new LAN, but , it shows a limited or no connectivity.
why is this happening? And what is happening?
the pda show up as shuch if it's ready to receive a rom from the rom upgrade
But still, when I start himaupgradeut_noid.exe I get error 101, connection error
Note that I only get ehite blank screen, and not serial v1.06/usb v1.06, like I had before my last upgrade to 2k5. perhaps the b/l is corrupted or something?
cheers,
J.

Control LED's ?

I know there are apps and small reg edits that you can use to shut off LED's. My question is...... is there anyway to control the LED's? The specific thing I want to do is turn the green LED on the right off and have the blue flash in its place, also come on when the unit is charging.

Notification Light Flashes When There Are No Notifications [solved]

FYI - if you have a notification light that won't stop flashing when the screen is off and you have no notifications showing, take the Motorola World Clock widget off your homescreen (if you have put it there). Sprint ended up replacing my phone because of this and when the new phone started doing the same thing I began killing everything until it stopped and found the culprit. No number of wipes, hard resets or sbf flashes would cure this for me. Perhaps it only acts up in conjunction with another app or widget I have, but it did this with no apps installed and something to try if you have this problem.
Or just download the LEDs hack from the market (free) and turn all leds off. Could save you battery. I always keep all leds off during the day especially the soft keys as they are bright as ****! If you download LEDs hack choose your phone as the "Droid x".

Good to know. Light Flow works pretty well also. I was using that as a fix but don't like having to hack around a fault that shouldn't exist to begin with.

mini pro: lights when charging

is there any way that the lights (green or orange) will switch off automatically while charging after a certain time? either via regular settings or a tweak? couldnt find anything. its really a bit anoying when trying to sleep in the same room and theres some orange or green glowing all the time.
edit: Im referring to the green and orange LED lights of my phone, not to lights within the android window.
hey whatis ur icon on screen battery with lightning even its full?
its green, but I realise now that my post has been a bit unclear. Im refering to the LED lights of my phone. the android lights dont matter, as the screen turns off after a while anyway.

Blinking Light notification

I cant figure out why my phone keeps blinking its notification light. Any one have an idea why?
Most likely a rogue app acting up.
ok thanks for the response
If I may add to this topic without creating a new one, how come my blinking light for notifications will stop after about a minute or so? I recieved some texts but didn't know it until I manually turned my screen on. So I sent myself an email, and it blinked for a minute or so, then stopped. Is this normal?
i actually think that is suppose to happen. Ever htc phone i have had has a certain duration of the notification light blinking and then it will turn off. the only phone i have ever had it go on until i checked the notification is my old droid. i was apply to on the galaxy nexus, but had to use an app to make it work. Light flow is the app

It's actually 5 minutes I think, at least on my phone it is. It is my biggest complaint with Sense and why I switched to cyanogenmod on my evo shift. It would be the one reason I would switch to the GS3 if I had to think of a reason since there are nice solutions that use an amoled screen for notifications that will not time out like that. (an app called noLed, doesn't work well unless you use amoled))
Anyway, it must be coded real deep because I've never seen a dev fix it or even hardly mention it and people have complained about it for years.
It really makes the notification light kind of worthless.
There are some apps like light flow that in theory can fix it but lightflow doesn't work for me when my sound is turned on with this phone so it's worthless right now. Missed reminder might be able to help as well but I haven't had a chance to try it.
Unrelated, but does anyone know how to disable the bright green light when battery is charged? lol
