I read somewhere on the net that prophet only supports 802.11b so how do you guys make it support g? I mean don't we need another network card in order for it to support g? Please answer. Thank you in advance.
Not sure what you mean... As Prophet hardware spec, its wireless can support 802.11b and g.

However, if you use latest WM6 ROM, the setting for 802.11g should be enabled.

As much as i know, there is no possibility.
WLAN-cards require SDIO-Interface, but Wallaby just have SD.....

I was planning on using the 8525 on my boat, as a modem tethered off of a laptop accessing the web via the 8525 and EDGE or 3G wireless.
Is AT&T dropping support for using the 8525 as a wireless modem? I'm sure I'll not get a straight answer if I call AT&T or go to the local AT&T store.
TIA for your help!
PS I know I'm a newbie here - but I have searched and I've found threads on HOW to do it - but I've not found one that indicates IF AT&T/Cingular is dropping this capability?
Don't worry, Internet Sharing is just an easier connection to use your 8525 as a modem. I've used it and it works very well, hi speed and all.

I've been burnt before with phones that supposedly have a feature, but has been disabled by the carrier with their custom ROM.
I can confirm that the internet sharing app on the 8525 is FAR better than using the old modem way where you have to put in dialup number, username, pass etc.

No rom is carrier specific, just run the connection setup program and tmob should be a choice. Personally I'm a fan of NATF's and Energy's roms. Also realize 3g will not work with Tmobile due to it using the 1700 frequency which the touch pro/fuze does not support. For more infomation check the Raphael wiki.
