This tutorial describes a way how to perform a scheduled backup of SMS/MMS & CallLog with TB pro in XML-format.
The advantage of XML-format in contrast to a backup of "SMS/MMS/APN" system data is that XML-format can be restored on different ROMs without any compatibility issues.
By default TB:
- Stores the backups to /sd-card/TitaniumBackup. You can change it under Preferences --> Backup folder location.
- Does a GZIP compression of your backups. You can change it under Preferences --> Compression.
- Keeps one backup version (the old one is overwritten). You can change it under Preferences --> Max backup history.
The images were taken using TB pro version 6.0.4.
The following is a step by step instruction.
1) Start Titanium Backup pro
2) Select "Filters" by pressing the magnifier and funnel symbol at the top.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
3) Press the "Create label" button at the bottom.
4) Name your label and press the "Add/Remove elements" button.
5) Select "Call log" and "Messages (SMS & MMS)" checkboxes and store your selection by pressing the green "Save" button at the top.
6) Press the "Save" button.
7) Now you see the new created label "SMS/MMS&CallLog" at the botton. Press the green "Save" button at the top.
8) Select the "Schedules" tab and press the "Add new schedule" button at the bottom.
9) On the top combo box select the arrow to pull down the menu. Select the "Backup all system data" option.
On the next combo box select the arrow to pull down the menu. Select the label "SMS/MMS&CallLog" you have just created before.
Select the time you want your backup to take place.
Select the days you want your backup to take place.
Press the "Save" button.
10) Select the "Enabled" check box to enable your schedule.
Now TB pro will automatically backup your SMS/MMS and CallLogs at the specified time and days.
I also made a German version of that tutorial. You can find it here: http://www.handy-faq.de/forum/motor...s_and_calllog_backup_titanium_backup_pro.html
WONDERFUL!!!
What a great tutorial, thank you very much!
This is a how to guide on making an Icon shortcut to your Extended Power Menu or Standard Power Menu. You can also create thousands of other mods.
The first thing you need is the Tasker app. You can get it here: Google Play Store - Tasker No it is not free. But you can do all kind of mods with this App.
So lets get started:
After you install Tasker, click on the icon for the app and check that you have read and agree to their terms.
Then select the TASKS button. At the bottom of the screen you will select the + sign.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Here you will name your Task. I called mine "EPM", then select the check mark.
Once a new screen opens you will again select the + sign to add an action. You will then select "Script" then "Run Shell".
Here is where you will type this command on the Command line:
PHP:
#/system/bin/sh
sendevent /dev/input/event0 0001 116 1
sendevent /dev/input/event0 0000 0000 00000000
sleep 2
sendevent /dev/input/event0 0001 116 00000000
Then scroll down to "Use Root" and check the box. Now in the upper left hand corner select "Action Edit Run Shell"
Now in the lower left hand corner select the play icon to test your Shell Command. If all goes right your EPM or Power Menu should open. Just hit cancel on the EPM Menu and hit the soft back button a couple of times to exit out of Tasker.
Now go to the screen of your choice and long press to add a shortcut. (I am using NOVA launcher) scroll down to Tasker Shortcut and select the name of the Task you just created. It will open Tasker and all you have to do is hit the soft back key a couple of time to exit and your new shortcut to your EPM or Power Menu will be on your screen.
Enjoy!!!

Introduction:
Google has had the good idea to limit the number of outgoing SMS to 100 per contact hour after which it will, every sms, confirm that you are sending the text message in question.
Some love sms bomb their friends by spamming them, it looks at the ..
Others have a family, a wife or a little too clingy girlfriend (s) and answer questions tantamount to send more than 100 SMS per hour
Tested under MIUI under RemICS, Paranoid Android, AOKP Milestone 6 , CM9. And in CM11 For my LG P710(by weritos)

After a certain Windows update Lenovo Paper decides to pester you with a UAC prompt with each and every boot! If you're sick of it like I was and would like to remove the program I will explain how in this short guide. The only thing Lenovo Paper does is provide a popup shortcut to OneNote when you press the pen button on the keyboard, that's it! Everything else functions exactly the same with Lenovo Paper removed.
Guide
Method 1:
1. Hold the Windows Key and tap R on your keyboard. Enter "taskschd.msc" into the Run box.
2. Scroll down to "Active Tasks" in the center column.
3. Locate and double click "LenovoPaper". If it isn't listed click refresh and check again.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
4. In the right-hand column click "delete".
5. Sign out of your account.
6. Sign back into your account and delete the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Lenovo\LenovoPaper" folder.
Method 2:
Paste the following text into Notepad and save it as "RemoveLP.reg". I have included a premade REG file as well.
Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Schedule\TaskCache\Tree\LenovoPaper]
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Schedule\TaskCache\Tasks\{581929DB-ECDC-47BA-8BA5-9E8DB58C2218}]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\bam\UserSettings\S-1-5-21-3209572867-2098836868-865137110-1001]
"\\Device\\HarddiskVolume4\\Program Files (x86)\\Lenovo\\LenovoPaper\\LenovoPaper.exe"=-
[HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-3209572867-2098836868-865137110-1001\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Compatibility Assistant\Store]
"C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Lenovo\\LenovoPaper\\LenovoPaper.exe"=-
2. Merge the REG file to delete all of the registry keys Lenovo Paper creates.
3. Reboot your Yoga Book.
4. When the Lenovo Paper UAC prompt appears SELECT NO.
Clicking YES allows Lenovo Paper to launch, recreating the registry data and locking the program files.
5. Delete the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Lenovo\LenovoPaper" Folder.
Now you can enjoy a prompt free log in once again!
Thanks

Excellent I am glad you found this helpful.
THANK YOU!
Not only did you solve this for me, but also you are the first to actually explain what in the world LenovoPaper actually did.
Now I don't get the annoying UAC prompt, NOR does my Yoga open OneNote shortcut every time I activate the pen.
So three benefits from your post: 1. now I know what LenovoPaper does, 2. stopped the UAC prompt, and 3. stopped the OneNote shortcut. If only Lenovo support were as clear and conscise as you.
Again, thank you.
Thank you very much. I am happy for this !
I just bought S20 Ultra. My service is thru Total Wireless but it is a Verizon phone. I bought a new SIM and went thru all the hoops to activate it but I have no data, and no messaging. It shows 4G LTE on the top but it is greyed out. When I try to make a call it shows 1X. Also when I go to APN settings I can not add or edit and it displays "APN settings are not available for this user" I spent 11 hours between CHAT and Phone calls with Customer service. They had me factory reset twice, reset network settings, power on with and without data/wifi/roaming and or airplane mode on numerous times . They said they were updating my APN settings every time and pushing something thru to my phone but none of it worked. I tried to put a non working sim from T Mobile in and then add an apn but every time I would change the MCC it would disappear when I went to save. I don't know what else to try but I am hoping one of you might be able to help !!

Nice one...
Try this.
Install Nova Launcher. Long press an empty area on your home screen. Add Widget, choose Activities. Then go to Settings and select APNs. This will create a shortcut with APNs, open it and normally you will see the + sign to add an APN.
I made this script to edit apns, use adb. You will need root most likely, selinux permissive on some phones. Another route(without root) is "Settings database editor" app. Use adb to allow it extra write permissions as it instructs. Without ui it's necessary to edit databases manualy. Edit the script, it will remove ipv6 from an apn as it is, change "protocol" to what you want changed in apn, for example add "dun" to "APN type" by changing protocol:s:"IP" to type:s:"default,supl,mms,dun" the script will display current apn values for reference.
adb push fxapn.txt /data/local/tmp
adb shell
sh /data/local/tmp/fxapn.txt
Or just factory reset your phone/reset network settings.
Last time I had a phone do that it was locked by the company ( T mobile ) for non payment but the IMEI came up clean. Try someone else's Sim card that you know that works.
