Ive just upgraded my phone to the WM6 "Fantastic Mobiz v2.0b3" everything went smooth, no errors.
until the device starts and starts the wizard, tab the screen .... and so on. when it reached to if i wanna set a password to protect the device.
ok i entered the password and confirm it. finished the wizard. then the device restarted, and now it asks about the password, when i enter it it says the password is incorrect.
Activsync also can not connect when the the device is locked.
What to do now? plz help!

It's a known WM6 bug.I will sometime forget the password,so don't use a password...
after setup PW etc ... make a clean shutdown!! It means ... switch it off and on again. this flush the registry back to rom. then he knows the PW after soft reset.
Hello guys, thanks for the replies, well thats good, it means there is still a solution .
But i didnt get it yet, what should i do? i soon as the device starts it asks for the password, how can i flash it again? and which file should i flash?

Just make a hard reset, the password will be gone

I did a mistake when I buy my Prophet first may yours is the same
If you choose "basic" password at the beginning it only accepts the "numbers" it doesn't allow you to enter letters.
Bu the password input screen allows it.
So if you write letters during your first password setting and if you didn't recognize that those are not accepted you feel you are in trouble.
My advice is "try just the numbers in your password and tap OK"..

had this problem as well. luckily it was soon after i upgraded.
so yeah do a hard reset unfortunately. now i don't have a pw at all

Hello All,
Something freaky just happend. I was reading a thread about how someone was unable to access his Bootloader after a WM 2003 install and decided to go into Bootloader mode. No problems there, so I did a soft reset to get out of Bootloader mode and Boom! 'Tap here to set up your device' displayed amid the 'Bliss' background.
I had to setup the device from scratch. Luckily not all that much loss of software and I only lost one appointment which I still remember. Can you guys with WM 2003 try it and let me know your results? Please backup your data first!

Can anyone help me ? My IE on my PPC 2002 doesn't work properly because when I enter the web address and tap Go, nothing happends. Before when I tap go, the dialog box appears to input username and password but now it doesn't appear and doesn't connect. Connection for dialing is OK.
I always meet this problem when I install many softwares onto my PPC2002. If I do the hard reset, it can connect properly.

it seems that one of your installed s/w updates the registry keys for the defauly connection link (GSM or GPRS). Try installing them one by one after hard reset and test IE in each step

Im using XDA NEO with PDAViet 4.0.0.0.5b Cross, when Im use a soft reset, but still put it in charging mode, my prophet Pin password auto reset to another number, now I cant login to my prophet with my password. I cant do a hard reset cause have so much data do not backup, trying use defaut '1234' '12345' still incorect. Who have a solution help me plz

There is no solution.... you have to hard reset.....
There is an incompatibility problem with password protection on all cooked WM6 ROMS. If you put a password teh device shall forget the password afterf every soft reset.
by the way, pls use search this ques has been asked and answered a million times already.

I need help, I have done upgrades several times and am not new to the process. Today however something has gone wrong. Need your help to fix it. I downgraded from gullum VII to PV Temp and then did the upgrade to PDAVIET Transformer.
Upgrade failed and as per on screen instructions did a soft reset and repeated the process. It failed a second time. When I did a SOFT reset again the OS showed 6.6.666 in spite of the upgrade failing. After that the screen has gone blank.
I can go to the tri color bootloader screen, but the device does not connect to the computer. So I cant even down grade it to pv temp. what should i do. how to solve this

The general method to connect to your PC when in bootloader is to DEactivate "Allow USB connection" in the conections settings of ActiveSync.
With that setting inactive, your device will be connected as an regular USB device instead as being redirected from within ActiveSync. This way the WM5 RUU can connect and you can try "Step1" again.

I have installed SCHIST WM6.5 21864 in my ASUS P527. I have set the simple 4 digit password. it was working fine. but, when i put the correct password also it is showing as "incorrect password" OR sometime no message will display.
I tried hard reset by pressing "RESET" button & scroll button But the same lock screen will appear again
Please help me to hard reset my phone
