Guys and gals, I’ve finished transferring most (but still not all) of my past guides, articles and Bibles to the XDA-Wiki (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/ ). Don’t forget to check them out – I’m ABSOLUTELY sure you’ll find them VERY useful!!
thank you so much they are so useful k-b bibles
Guys and gals, I've just finished migrating my latest articles & Bibles from the last ~5 months into the Wiki (so far, I haven't had the time to do this).
VERY important: I use my own scripts to convert my HTML-based articles to PhpWiki (also using other, Web-based PhpWiki converters). Unfortunately, there're some constructs that I just can't convert (and don't have the time to manually adjust ALL the articles - remember, there are hundreds of them); for example, consequent rows separated by only one line feed. (With them, the rows aren't rendered separated.)
If you encounter cases like this and would like to read the original instead,
1. you can find almost all these articles in the General forum ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=256 ) here; you can easily find them by just entering a, say, sentence to search for from my Wiki article, only searching for my nick and the General forum in the Advanced Search engine ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php )
2. at the bottom of many of my articles, there's a "Cross-posted to" section. Just click the XDA-Devs link in there.
3. alternatively, you can also search my blog ( http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/ )
I do hope you'll find my articles useful
With the recent update to Google Search for Android you can no longer disable web searches. Every time you use the universal search on the phone you must wait for the web results to return and they are listed before the apps. For people who primarily use the search functionality for accessing apps this poses difficulty.
What is the best way around this? At present I've just been using an older version of the Google Search apk. Is the best way around this hacking the current Google Search apk to just have a different package name and use that from now on? Does anyone know if there is a hack to disable web searches in the new Google Search with integrated Google Now?
Also posted a poll along with this to see if other people find this intentional exclusion of web search options annoying. Thanks in advance.

There are plenty of opportunities that technology has made our lives better. The development of the computer and programs that allow us to automate and speed up our lives with a set of instructions written by one single person to be reused by many. This is inclusive of the search function. It is an extremely advanced technology.
A SINGLE Search on XDA Developers for a SINGLE word "ads" give me a list of results. The FIRST result is an Xposed Module.
The next search on Google for a "how to block ads on android" (which is the exact same as your thread subject in addition to "on android") give me another list of results. The FIRST result is an article on HongKiat that gives you STEP BY STEP GUIDE on how to do that.
Please note that I'm only talking about the FIRST result, which is limited, scrolling down (which takes 3 seconds of your time) would present you more results.
Now that I have answered your question, I have to tell you to use the search function. It's an automated program to save you time using XDA Developer's advance server technology. If you took the time to search (5 minutes) , you would save 95.1% of your time to receive an answer than if you waited for me to answer (1 hour and 2 minutes).
I have come to the end of this lecture.

I need to mock my location in my smart phone? Is there any app for this?
For some reason you have posted in the Android Wear section of XDA. Probably because you didn't read the rules when you joined (about 10 seconds before you posted). You also didn't search XDA for your request, as if you had you would have got literally hundreds of hits.
I suppose this is too much to hope, but have you by any chance searched Google Play Store for 'mock location'? Doh! I must be stupid, we've already established that you don't search.
TL;DR Just search Google Play Store for 'mock location'... and RTFM.
