Calls Recieving pb after upgrade to WM6 ! - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam Software Upgradin

Greetings,
Yesterday i upgraded my Hermes to WM6 from HTC website, everything went fine, but since i cannot recieve any calls but can call and everything else is fine, i'm new in this but here are more details:
Rom version : 3.54.256.2
Rom date : 07/06/07
Radio version : 1.47.00.10
Protocole version : 32.80.7020.20H
Ext. rom version : 3.54.256.103
I live in France and using Bouygues Telecom, i read on a french forum that the problem might be this radio version with Bouygues Telecom.
Are there any from France that have resolved this problem? is it easy to change the rom? and is there any guide on this great forum to learn how to do that?
thank you for your help!
Curious Jack

You can change just the Radio ROM part. What was your old radio version?
Here is the Radio Upgrade Only Wiki:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_ExtractedRadioRoms

Unfortunally i did not check it out before upgrading to WM6, and i just installed version 1.50.00.00 and nothing has changed, i can call but when i'm called or it rings busy or its straight to answering box.
thanks!

Hi,
if like me you are in France with Bouygues Telecom, here are the original versions (as I was looking for switching to WM6 and now I'm asking myself some questions...)
ROM : 1.18.256.2
Radio : 1.03.03.10
Protocol : 32.34.7010.01H
I hope it will help you get back to a working phone...
Regards

Try installing radio version 1.40.30.00.
I have a similar problem on the network I am currently on with radio 1.41.00.10 and any version higher so far.
I can summarize the problem I faced as follows - if there is a data connection active, then the phone will not be able to receive an incoming voice call, unless the caller keeps trying maybe like 5 to 10 times.
The network I am on now is DTAC in Thailand, using EDGE for data.
Once I downgraded to 1.40.30.00, even with an active data connection, the incoming voice call still came through.

I had a same problem after uprgaded my Vario II to WM06 HTC ROM. I could send/receive msg and call out, but not received any call
I tried these combination:
- Upgraded to WM06 HTC ROM and keep the original radio version (1.48): wouldn't work
- Upgraded radio version to 1.50: wouldn't work
Solution:
- Downgraded radio version to 1.41. My device fine now
My network:
- Vodafone New Zealand
Hope it help

Thanks for sharing ...
I solved my problem by downgrading one by one the first one that worked is the 1.41.00.10 so i will try it and see ...
What a relief ....
thanks again
CJ

thanks xupcua and glad to read that it works for you Curious Jack.
I think I'll wait this weekend before upgrading, I need my phone for work
Thanks to all for their help. Great job !

update done and all working good (at least for now...)
I've tried all radio versions from 1.51. The only one which works is 1.41. With others, no incoming calls.

Well, it definitely seems to be a Bouygues issue, as I am in the same situation.
Back with 1.41, I can call and receive calls, but no internet access ! Are you in the same case ?
Olpetit

Internet access through GPRS is working good.
Can't try Wifi as my Linksys wifi router just died 2 weeks ago and I'm back with a wired only Netgear router.
I will go and get a new Wifi router on saturday. I'll post my results then.

Hi guys,
I have installed radio rom 1.40 : the gsm works fine, Edge gprs too, but now i have wifi connection problem, its impossible to get connected ... i discovered that if i put the gsm off the wifi is connecting, but not with the gsm on
I dont know if its a radio rom problem or something else ...
CJ

hum if that's true I think I'll go back to radio 1.03 which was the radio I had when I bought my TyTn... and with which Wifi was working pretty good
Edit : I succeeded in connecting me to a neighbor wifi router (with his agreement). I was able to download GoogleMaps for mobile, load a few bitmaps, check my mail. All this with GSM on.
It may not be a radio relative problem. It needs more testing but my neighbor's wife said it was too late to continue

Upgrade => Problems with GPS

Hi,
I have a problem wtih my HPC and would like to c if anyone can help.
Problem description:
After Upgrading the Rom from I-Mate's webpage to 1.66WWE the GSM phone has serious problems (seems very week).
I purchased my phone in the middle east and it had an older ROM version (Am not sure but it probably was 1.52 I am sure the radio was older than 1.10 but not sure which version I suspect it was 1.03.
When I first arrived here in the US it was working fine with AT&T cingular and T-mobile. Reasonable reception and stability.
Then I stupidly decided to upgrade the roms from i-mate's webpage and I started facing problems. Now the phone either can't find the network or sees a very very week signal.
More annoyingly when It tried to downgrade it to the older version on imate's webpage it refused to downgrade the radio version and kept it at 1.10.00.
My questions:
1. Any idea where I can find an older version of the radio rom s/w so I can get my GSM phone working?
2. Any ideas what I can do to upgrade to the 1.66WWE and the 1.10 radio and still have them work here in the US?
as it is now my settings are:
ROM version 1.52.00WWE (was 1.66 for while)
ROM date 10/29/03
Radio version 1.10.00
protocol version 1.337.18
ExtROM: 1.52.114

What's wrong with Radio ROMs ??

I would be happy if somebody could explain.
I have Radio ROM 1.41 installed on my Hermes with Schaps 3.57a WM6.
As I never managed to use 3G with it, and Bouygues Telecom was not able to help me, I then suspected an issue between this ROM version and 3G.
I therefore upgraded to 1.43. Results : unable to receive calls. Then, back to 1.41, all except 3G is OK.
Upgraded then to 1.47 : no calls
1.48 : no calls
1.50 : no calls !
Only 1.41 allows me to receive calls !!
Providing new version should, according to me, improve the ROM, no ?
Can someone explain me what is the logic behind all these versions ?
Don't misunderstand me, a huge thanks to all of those providing ROMs !!!!
Thanks

CanĀ“t Upgrade my Hermes Radio

Hey Guys,
I am relatively new to this forum and I need some help. I have a Softbank X01HT... running WM6 3.54.262.2 in Spanish. The problem is that I cannot upgrade the radio, even when flashing orginally shipped ROM's with newer versions. (Apparently the ROM I flashed came with radio version 1.47.00.10 but my phone still has 1.46.00.10)
Does anybody know how to solve this? The problem is that my Hermes response to incoming phone calls is a bit slow and it starts ringing after two or three rings of the person who is calling.
Thanks in advance.

[Q] Rom Upgrade, Network, Battery Issues

Hi there,
I recently purchased an HTC HD2 phone (new) from one of the stores in India. After using it for a period of 4-6months, the phone is giving me the following problems:
- Network signals tend to go off suddenly(though the sim card works perfect on other low end phones!)
- Sometimes I am unable to make outgoing calls and outgoing sms's though I am able to receive calls and sms's.
I contacted the phone service provider in India (where I am based at) and they said the problem is with the phone. I then contacted HTC India through their site and they wrote back since the S/N code provided of the phone is of UK, I need to write to them for a solution. So am pretty much going around in circles and yet to receive some response. A friend recommended this site and here I am seeking for HELP from all the experts.
I am unable to upgrade the software/rom for the phone and may be all the problems are to do with the softwares not being upgraded (not sure though). Below are the details:
Model : HTC HD2 T8585
s/n : HT03XNW03568
OS : 5.2.21869 (21869.5.0.82)
Manila version : 2.5.19211619.0
ROM version : 1.66.405.2 (76641) WWE
ROM DATE : 01/11/10
RADIO VERSION : 2.06.51.07
PROTOCOL VERSION 15.30.50.07U
I am really tired of going from pillar to post to sort this out. How do I upgrade the ROM and the other software as when I insert the S/N number while downloading I get a message saying the upgrade is not possible for this S/N!
The battery life is horrible too and just drains off within 8-10hrs in spite of making just 1-2calls and 2-4sms and no surfing in that 10hr period.
Please help
Best regards from India
