Hi guys,
i recently upgraded my prophet to WM6, now - after i eject the SD card, WM need a soft-reset in order to work again with the SD card (which is also a usb card and i'm ejecting it often).
is there any way to 'tell' WM to read the storage card again?

Jow Guys ... can you tell us what OS you use? Have you read the Topics about your OS for some isuess? What IPL/SPL you have? Do you have Hard Reset after Flash Firmware?

I mean I have lost everything from my SD 256MB lexar card - some vital data and some mp3, family pictures etc ... all of varoius size, hmmm
1. Flash Format v2.60 from CNetX has:
- some problems with formatting SD card
- then after card -reinsert it has formatted it FAT32, 512 sector size parameters
- all verify+ repair operations executed flawlessly afterwards
2. I have received XDA that has been flashed with WM 2003 from T-Mobile (marked test only - not for sale, but in my humble view it does not matter)
hardware version PW10B1
sys ver 4.00.21 ENG
ROM date 08/11/03
radio ver 4.21.00
protocol 32S54
does anyone has an idea as to what to do to stop self-format SD card ?? is that a faulty SD card or something messed up with the OS ??

I read many posts regarding this issue and mostly related to TMO pre release ROM ugrades including 4.00.21. Why don't you upgrade to the latest official release 4.01.00 Maybe this issue is solved.

oki, that makes me decide on below mentioned items :
1. I do have apparently US version of XDA as it has dual band 900/1900 :? and that makes me think before flashing the unit with an english but UK version ... unless it is harmless :?: so the question is - is it going to work ?? even when I decide to visit US sometime next year
2. does it mean that pre-release version of T-mobile ROM which I have makes some SD work and some don't ?? my other card seems to work fine ... I am getting confused :wink:
3. where to get the most recent windows PPC phone edition 2003 eng version that has not that problem with SD cards ??

if your network supports 900 MHz, OR your XDA have the 900/1800 radio option (GSM menu ... power + soft reset then calendar button) then it's likely that you can use your XDA with any RSU supported by your network.

Yes, I tested it my self but not for so long tho ... and I didn't face any problems. You can get ROM 4.00.21 and O2 RSU 4.21 from www.yorch.net

16MB SD card didn't fail to operate for over 48hours
I still havent't made up my mind to upgrade to the most recent software, mostly due to being afraid of loosing my piece of investment, heh

I have locked my 256MB SD card .... no content has been missing since then ... hurrrrrrrra !!!! 8)
seems like my problem is solved for now, at least until .. new and official T-mobile US ROM upgrade WM2003 arrives

thank you , but i have already take many rom on this url , and when I copy the rom *.nb1 with OSimagetools on SD and when i put my SD card in my PDA for flash , he dont see rom.
I stay on the screen GSM OK

Some internal build SD_Card writers causes Problems on writing the ROM to the Card.
MAybe you have the possibility to use an different SD_Card-Writer?

Why do you need a gold card? HSPL/SSPL not working?

EDIT: See you want to change from Russian to English, so read this thread (it's foor n00bs):

and it'll tell you all you need to know - then you find the ROM you want (best start with a stock WWE ROM) and go from there!
Do LOTS of reading before doing anything - Gold Card isn't needed anymore so don't worry about it

There's no need to read anything on the phone if you just want to flash a WWE ROM.
Just follow the steps in the thread mentioned above. Roughly: Flash HSPL, Flash new ROM, Hard Reset and you've got a device in your desired lenguage.
It really isn't that hard as long as you follow the instructions.

As I know , there are people who are not able to utilize mentioned software
because they get such error message:
"Failed to restart in upgrade mode. Soft reset the device and try again!"
What specific tg01 You have ? ( Not from Europe nor Japan ? ) . Oldest hardware releases or rather latest one ?

I have never used the short pin method before, I only use sddl+ and it works perfect for me!

User "El Diablo" who has now tg01 absolutely bricked ( there is thread about it ) , mentioned he was never able to utilize sddl+ because of descibed error, so I am curious if anybody else can confirm it.

important is, the ROM name must beginn with tg01...tsw
AND the best in Prg folder only the two sddl+EXE files and ONE tsw ROM file

I was in touch with sdll+ creator . He said that it is possible that there were other versions of the tg01 ( we know typical european version and japanese tg01a version). At user "El Diablo" model, simple windows restart API did not work after enter into SD programming mode but I do not know how did he get his tg01.
