I have tried nearly all ROMS released on this forum (eg. PDAMobiz, Gallum, PDAViet 4.0.0.6). On all ROMS I have tried, I have the same problem.
Although I turn off the device pressing the power button on the right side, time to time it turns on automatically without me pushing any button. (every 3-5 minutes)I believe that the cause is I use Direct Push all the time and when it starts to sync the phone turns on unintentionally.
Second, The "Lock all buttons expect Power button" option is selected in the Buttons settings. However when I first turn the device off, no button is functional as expected. But after 1-2 minutes when I click Comm Manager(or now TouchFlo) button, the device turns on again.
This is very annoying because I put the phone in my pocket and it turns on and I start calling people or sending messages without me knowing that
any help appreciated.
Thanks!

Just a hunge and only partial answer, but have you made an email account and have the setting configured to check at intervals? My experience is that the device turns to active then. I have put this setting to manually and no problems witk unexpected "turnning on" since then.
(Doesn't explain the Comm button issue though...)
The problem persists both for Gullum and also for PDAViet 4.0.0.6. I have e-mail account set to receive mail "as they arrive"(I use direct push) so that should be the problem. Everytime it starts to sync the device turns on. I cannot change this setting to manual because I use e-mail more than phone on my PDA (I have 150-200MB data usage per month )
I cannot find a reasonable answer to the comm manager problem because for the first 2-3 months everything works as it should be both later comm manager button wakes the phone up.
Thanks anyway. I think I should carry on using good old WM5.

i noticed that the problem is only if i turn on identification information in "Settings/Owner Information/Options"
so i turned off and never had this problem
I am using PV 4.0.0.0.6 and got the same problems. auto on every few minutes. I try to set the Active Sync (Servermode) to manual, disable GPRS and it is same. no idea at all. If somebody can help that I appreciate very much.

Here's some of the problems that I am having....
1. When using phone, I occasionally cant hang up - whether I use the screen button or the pushbutton - the only thing that lets me end the call is a soft reset. Imagine!!!
2. Yesterday, for no reason, the ringtone for an incoming call played 2x faster than it should have (ie. the speed of the song was doubled)
3. Just after I notice the ringtone song issue, I tried to use voice dial, and the prompts for voice dial were also playing twice as fast, a soft reset seemed to have fixed the problem... lets see if it happens again.
4. After installing WM6 Crossbow Underground, I was having problems not getting ANY calls, so I upgraded the Radio Rom to 2.61.11 and it seemed to work, BUT then I started noticing that I was getting SOME CALLS AND NOT AL CALLS, so I switched back to 2.25.11 Radio Rom
5. Under Regional Settings > Time ...I tried to switch to 24HR mode and using it for a while, I went back in to revert back to the 12HR mode but it wouldn't let me switch back to 12 hour mode.
6. When I touch the screen to Turn ON Flight Mode (shut off the radio), and then touch the screen to Turn OFF the Flight Mode, the dialogue STILL says Turn ON Flight Mode, even though its already ON (it should change to say, Turn OFF Flight Mode).
7. I was just on the phone with someone when a text msg arrived, and it booted me off the call I was on (it hung up).
8. When on a call, I touched the Mute botton on the screen to MUTE the call, but when I tried to UNmute the call it wouldn't let me.
9. Did anyone notice that the SIMPLE LOCK (4 digits) now requires you to click on the unlock button after entering the code? WM5 didn't require this, if you entered the right 4 digits, you were in, without having to press anything else.
10. When I am on a call, and another call comes in (call waiting), I cannot answer or ignore the other call... it doesn't respond to me whether using the touchscreen or the buttons.
And there's MORE that I will post another time.
Any suggestions or solutions, to these problems?
Actually I would recomend you upgrade to Most Beautiful version
I used Underground version, and Office Mobile doesn't work too
Everything is ok here with MB (search with this and you'll find it in piratebay under applications) version
Where is the "Most beautiful edtion"?

Uhhhhh, I think he said "you'll find it in piratebay under applications" didn't he?
find it here
here you go link for the rom you want andmany others
http://rapidshare.com/users/EXGZ7T
do you still need to apply the battey leak patch and the other extra stuff you had to do with underground
After an upgrade to dcd latest ROM 2.2.6 and Radio I have found that when my phone sleeps or I turn it off it doesn’t always turn back on I need to soft reset it. I am even tried an earlier Rom version 2.2.1 and still the problem.
This is a Telecom New Zealand phone and as for normal practice they don't give out their Rom's so I can't just flash back
With some playing I think I have tracked it down to only causing this issue when my data push is enabled ie, don't sync up to an exchange server and the phone works fine.
I am aware from other posts there are others out there with the same issue, can you check if this is the same with your phone. Turn off all your data connections and delete your exchange server and see if you phone then behaves.
I know people are saying it could be the Bootloader but if the above is the cause then I don't think it is in the loader and maybe dcd can help us track it.
I have tracked this problem down to when activesync does a Microsoft Direct puch while the phone is in standby. To connect to our work's mail server we need to also create a VPN connection (not using SSL) as long as I put in a wrong name or password causing activesync never to be able to sync then the power button turns the phone on everytime. If I also connect and sync (while phone is on) then dissconnet my VPN and and change password then the phone still works fine.
Does anyone has any idea where I should be looking, as I would like to have my Direct push email working.
Sorry to jack your thread, but I have a very similar problem. Sometimes when my phone goes on standby when I'm on the phone and my conversation is finished. I cant power back on my phone either. The green light still flashes, but the power button does nothing! Anyone have that same problem?
I've also had this problem. When I press the power button the phone would enter standby mode and when I pressed it again it wouldn't wake up. The only way around it I found for my phone is to install S2U2 and set it so it activates when the backlight turns off. That seems to catch it before it whatever happens to not let the phone wake up happens. So now when I press the power button, the screen cuts off and S2U2 opens. Hope this helps.
I have similar problems. Maybe I'll try using S2U2 ...
Same problems, doesn't seem to wake up if it goes to sleep while VPN is running... any fix?
I had the same issue when I flashed my ROM with the USB connection. It could be the bootloader. because I then used the SD card bootloader and re-loaded my ROM from the SD card and it resolved the issue.
I would recommend reinstalling from the SD card using the no2chem.
Hey guys,
I have a couple of things that bother me about this phone. I didn't have these problems when I first got it so I'm trying to figure out why this happens.
First off, when I get a phone call, sometimes I can't answer it. I will be pressing the Answer button both on the screen and the actual hardware key... it will never go to the connected call button even though it shows I'm in call.
Next is the issue I have with the End Button. Sometimes I accidently press it and it terminates my data connection. Is there anyway to make the End key serve as just a hang-up/go back to the home screen type key? I would love to see this issue fixed.
Thanks for your time.
*UPDATE* : I just realized that when I'm in a data connection, it sometimes won't let me answer or I will have to press Answer 30 times for it to get into a call. It seems like a very slow transition from Data to Voice. Any ideas?
You can set the end key to do other things in the settings menu someplace. Look for it. Have it give you a list, instead of doing an automatic feature.
I just did a hard reset and it fixed everything.
Hi, I have a 2 week old handset which has now twice displayed a pretty strange/annoying bug.
I have been using no Stamina settings other than location based WiFi and queue background data for the most part to gauge battery life under my normal work schedule but I noticed last week that my saved WiFi at home wasn't on, so instinctively I tried to click the WiFi symbol but to no avail.
I then tried to restart the phone, but when pressing the power off option, it simply booted me back on to the screen I was on before hand. This continually happened until I got pee'd off and repaired it.
Again today I ran into the exact same problem. No WiFi and I could not power off. After several attempts at powering off I managed to get it to boot into safe mode where I started uninstalling apps to rule out any rogue apps. I still couldn't reboot forcing me to repair and wipe the phone.
I keep telling myself that this is merely a software bug and I can't seem to find other posts where people are suffering similar problems.
So I futilely ask, has anyone ever had anything similar happen to theirs?.
Yeah I think this is a software bug too, a similar thing has happened to me a couple of times with the wifi becoming "stuck" and rebooting the phone fixed it but if you're having trouble shutting down your phone, have you got quickboot enabled? Regardless of that though, you do have two options to force a restart, either hold volume up and power, this will force shutdown or press the small red button next to the sim card tray.

I am pretty sure it is the quick boot option now. Stupid bug.
Phew...don't have to return it now.
I think sony have disabled the quick boot functionality for some reason, I ticked it thinking it might be almost like a reboot instead of power off & then power on, later I noticed the power off menu wasn't doing anything when tapping it, was almost about to do a reset but then remembered I ticked the quick boot option.
Hope they enable it in future updates.
I've got a strange problem with my Sprint Galaxy Note 3.
What's happening is that randomly when I hit the power to turn the screen back on, it will do nothing then the screen will stay blank. The phone clearly still works because if I'm on a call or listening to music it will still keep playing and the volume and other buttons continue to work.
When that happens I hold down the power to turn the phone off and then on and it boots up normally.
Rarely what will happen is the same behavior except the screen will go strangely green after I hit the power button, making the phone unusable until an off/on.
This happens sometimes multiple times a day, sometimes days without happening.
Phone is rooted, running OC5 on Android 5.0. Problem has been happening for months. Haven't made any system upgrades or installed any major apps so that isn't it. I'm thinking it is some kind of loose pin/wire but don't want to crack the phone open without a plan.
Any help appreciated!
