i've changed english language to simplified chinese language,so i want upload my rom to my life,but u know if my rom failed to load,so i can't use activesync to link my life with my pc,and then i can't re upload original rom to my life.
so i'm finding the method how to upload rom to ATOM LIFE in Boot loader mode,if it is possible,i can test my own rom optional,and we can optimize O2 rom ,simultaneity we can avoid life change to brick

I'm using the Atom Life CHT ROM RC2140907B2, but when I try to flash my device into World Wide English Version of RC2140907B2, it told me that:"ERROR: Customer or Model ID Error The ROM image that you are trying to use is not designed to work with your device. Please check the vender Web Site and download the correct ROM update." What's going on my Atom Life?
I have installed the PV_AL_OS_5.2.19701_V6.1.0.7_3G_by_Medkid rom on my MWG atom life, which was new from expansys with wm6 already on it.
Before I did this I used grab_it_64_143.exe to make what I assumed was a back up of the original rom. This left me with a 64MB file called 'dump.bin'
Is this a back up of my original rom and can it be restored??

Hi there,
I'm not sure wether it is your original rom, but if you want to revert to the original rom, download the program from the MWG site and run the program, first of all it will state a connection error. The run it again and it then should connect and revert your rom to the original o2 rom.
If not there are plenty of posts that will tell you, you just have to thoroughly search.

But i can seem to open it with any of the tools I have tried
btw, before I loaded the 3g rom 6.1.0.7 my info was

Is some of this newer than the rom i loaded???

I've downloaded the Atom Life official ROM and I want to flash back my Atom Life to it. But my "baby" is using PV ROM ATOM LIFE WM 6.1 OS 5.2.19214 by Medkid. It shows the error message "The model is not correct" when I flash the official ROM. How can I do ? Please advice. Thanks.

You must have downloaded MWG Atom Life ROM from the website. Either download the O2 Atom Life ROM from there or replace the pass.32 file in /Windows/Temp.
For replacing pass.32 file you would still need the O2 atom life ROM.

How to Reflash back to O2 ROM??
Had using this ROM (PDAVIET ROM WM6.1 Manilla 2D (Core 20924) by TranMinhMan) for a week, and wish to flash back to original rom (o2 ROM)
How to flash back?
According to older post that say delete the 1st 12byte using Hex Editor from Original ROM (Flash.DIO). but it doesn't work.
Any expert to help me?

I'm not an expert at all, but works flashing via pc in original home site without no more steps, just flashing over. I did it and it worked for my Atom Life a few time ago.
you need to find the original ROM for MWG Atom Life, flash it.

i had try to direct flash the official ROM with PC, but shows Country error or Customer ID error (something like that). and refer the edit the hex key (delete the 1st 12 byte) method, i still no hope on that (maybe im not expert on that?).... So, any idea still can solve my problem?
Now still stuck at the PDAVIET ROM.
Well, you have to choose a ROM for your own country. If you have an O2 Atom, then do not download the MWG ROM and vice versa. If you bought your phone from a different country then check which ROM did it originally ship with. Country would be specified in the phone box cover.

Take out Device Update Utility from this rom then put in Temp folder in Widnows with ROM that u want to flash back (example 6.1 file)
Run Device Update Utility i will take ROM 6.1 to flash on ur device!

you can try this step
download last official rom from o2 (WM5)...
remove sdcard from device
press reset + camera button (bootloader mode)
connect device to usb
run DSUU from official rom O2..wait until finish
this methode work for me...when downgrade XDA Atom to WM5
Tell u a better way. Start flashing with any WM6.5 rom u got for atom. Just when the new rom loading has begun(few percentage marks), pull out the wire. The updating will stop but your phone will remain in update utility mode (even after restarting) . Now flash with any older version of rom u have. it will work. Trust me. i did the same when i was stuck in the same. Learned from trial and error. It is very tough to brick a phone. Anyone who actually bricks a phone has to be a world renowned supreme certified idiot.
