Is there a good Samaritan out there who can explain to me exactly how the program is installed and how does one go about editing the Registry of the TyTN. I have bought Nokia HS-12W BT stereo phones and have added in Sleuth's anti-skip modification. All works well except that I do not get stereo. I must modify the Registry according to Sleuth's working model, and need to do the Registry mods.
Please help!
I am sure there are other newbie's who are also keen to learn new tricks.
Which problem are you exactly having? Just install the cab file, run the program and browse the registry to the place you want to modify, add or delete a key. Tap on the key or screen to do this.
You have to copy the cab file to your Hermes first. When I install cabs, I either send them to myself as email attachments or I use activesync explorer mode. Alternatively, if you can find the site using Pocket Internet Explorer (PIE) then you can download the cab directly. Once the cab is on your Hermes, then tap to install.
There is an alternative way to install apps on WM and that's with a windows based installer. If the file isn't a cab, then you'll need to connect up your hermes with its USB cable, wait for activesync to connect then run the installer on your PC. The installer itself will send the cab file over for immediate installation.
If you're familiar with the Windows registry you'll have no problems understanding the WM registry. When you change a value, make sure you power off with the power button to reset & make the change active, otherwise your registry setting might not "stick". Some registry values take effect immediately but I always power cycle after making a change just to be sure.

I was wondering "which" .cab to copy over for the AT&T Tilt 8925. I did try the Stngr_ARM and it did install. However, I can not expand the registery top folders or export the registery.

tips
1.> after fresh flash if comm manager icons dont show up properly use rotate screen for them and they show up properly and switch back to normal screen they will show up now
2.> if by any chance time display goes corrupted due to soft reset ,( this is a very very rare case)don't hush just press power key for 4 second or more and say yes to switch off dialog appeared on screen then take of your battery for 4 seconds or more and place it back and power on the device ,infact after a fresh flashing one should turn off the device and take off battery for a few seconds ,it kind of freezes the system states for a while just like our freezer does to ice cubes so that they get set where they are.
3.> bluetooth active sync would work finely ,but for USB active sync some PC's you have to disable (untick) advanced network functionality in settings>connections>USBto PC
4.>do not use vjdevice lock too often unless you need to infact don't use too much of any screen lockers , use your power button more often to switch off and sleeping the device
5.>it is not necessary that your device has to go to 0% everytime before you use charger , you can use charger at 30% or any reading but when you put charger to handset please let it charge to full capacity and then only remove it.
6.>please donot modify unlocked extended rom at all after flashing as it may spoil all applcations lying on it reqiring rewriting extended rom or reflashing.i would say rather do not even unlock extended rom too.

its winrar messed up i would change the rom i uploaded since win rar seems to have done merging in same directory where another file of same name existed.

I hope this rom, dont give a a splash error when try to open some programs like resco photo viewer, because in gullum´s rom was a normal error.

i am using resco photo viewer pro v6.33 registered without any "splash errors" which you are saying
any soft reset????
Always works fine for me, but tonight, my battery arrives to 5%, and prophet auto off.

Some performance tweaks
I created a registry file to change these easily;
- Increase Font Cache (8192 => 16384)
- Increase File System Cache (0 => 4096)
- Increase File System Filter Cache (0 => 4096)
- Disabled Message notify
Steps;
1-Extract .reg file to device or SD memory.
2-Open registry editor & (menu -> registery -> import )
3-Find this .reg file and "select"

I have some problems with the "HTC Home Plugin v2.1 (patched by N2A)" found at http://www.pocketemu.com/download8.html on a Touch Dual, with French OEM ROM !
1. Cant' add a working shortcut into the Contacts tab : the name appears but when I tap on it, nothing appens
=> It seems to happen because of the cube wich disables the use of the "Contacts" tab (found on xda)
2. Showing a "Folder" icon into the "Sound Profile" tab
3. Showing a "Folder" icon when adding a HTC App only into the "App" Tab : ie. "rotate" or "backlight" adjustment app. But the application can be launched.
4. The weather is working.
The language is French, on a French ROM, but in HTC Home Customizer 1.0, the selected language is "US English". When I switch to French, the language in HTC Home is English...
Any ideas ???

I think the problem comes from the pinpad of niki.

Because y test with kaiser phone skin work and the niki phone skin don't work
Solution on 'Folder' image problem
The icons do not appear because the icons used by Niki Home are not there in new HTCHome folder created by the HH plugin. You can rectify this by copying all icons from WIndows folder (all files starting with HH...) to HTCHome folder.
If you take little more you can identify which file are actually required. This resolvs icon issue for Sound profile and laucher icons like lock and backlight.
But you can not change those icons with tools like HHC. But at least the ugly folder icon issue goes away.
I started this thread out in the Leo forum but since these hacks are not really device (or resolution, not entirely sure though) dependent might as well post them for all to see.
Alarm Hack Home tab
Description:
Changes the alarm shortcut on the Home tab to another application than the default windows\HTC one.
The app prompts you a couple of questions which determine where your alarm application is installed, and adjust the shortcut accordingly. Make sure you type the names in correctly because typo's (case or errors) will produce an incorrect shortcut. It will create either a manila files or a cab.

How it works:
It's done via a batch script. This does not work if the application folder is placed somewhere that has a space in the filename (e.g. C:\Wrong File Path\Alarm_Hack_Home_Tab -> C:\Right_File_Path\Alarm_Hack_Home_Tab). It's not just a matter of shortcut creation, this hack is done in lua.

First step is the name of the storage card, second the name of the program files folder, third the name of the alarm application and last whether you want a cab or just the manila files. But it's all pretty clearly explained in the command prompt,

Edit: Question though, the latest official Rhodium WWE ROM (3.44) does have sense 2.1 right?
Works like a charm on HTC Touch Diamond 2 (Topaz) with WM 6.5 (upgraded WM 6.1 with HTC official ROM)

Man, is it possible to make another modification on manila shortcut.. let me tell you what I want, I instaled a second today screen, than I instaled the weather pannel application, Than I instaled the WP-Activate, that creates a shortcut to the main screen of weather panel.
I want to link the weather button located in the midle of the clock on home tab, to the main screen of weather panel or to the second screen, instead of the weather panel.
I am not a developer, so if you can help,

Depends on the lua file, but I thinks it doable. It would however be linked to the weather app directly. Not sure I understand exactly what it is that WP-Activate does,

let me try to explain, the weather panel is a today plugin, when you click on this today plugin, it opens the main screen of weather panel, where you have more information about the weather. The WP-Activate creates a shortcut on the start menu that allows to acess the main screen of weather pannel directly, without clicking on the today plugin... so it is not necessary to change from Manila to second today screen, just to click on the today plugin, I just use the shortcut.
Now what I am asking, is to use the weather button in home tab to link directly to the weather pannel main screen
I know that is dificult to understand my english, but if it is not clear I can try again...

BTW: is this for 2.5 or 2.1 manila? I could be incorrect but I don't think anything happens on 2.1 Sense when you hit hit the weather on home tab. If it does please tell me the manila version you are using.

SOLVED: HOW TO GET JAXBOT's WP7 LOCKSCREEN TO INITIALIZE JUST BY PRESSING THE POWER BUTTON!!!!
GO BELOW FOR CAB FILE
CREDIT:
A_C for S2U2
Jaxbot for Wp7 Lockscreen
vijay555 for VJBrisk
STEP 1. download and install the program mentioned in POST#7 (VJBRISK) (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=477519) to your device memory
also download the updated .exe file on the programs thread
Step2. once you have installed the program on your phone take the updated exe file and replace it with the installed one ( program files\vijay555\VJBrisk.exe )
Step3. Make Sure You Have Both S2U2 and WP7 Lockscreen Installed..
Step4. Take the .exe From the "Program Files\ wp7 Lock Screen" folder and rename it to "s2u2EXE.exe" and move it to the "program files\vijay555" folder
Step5. Take The Vjbrisk.exe and rename it to "s2u2.exe"
Step5 1/2. Launch the S2u2 settings program and make sure you enable the lock upon wakeup under general settings and then save
Step6. Now MAKE SURE YOU CLOSE S2U2 !!! do this by clicking the iLock2.exe and you will see a message saying "iLock2 and s2u2 closing..."
Step6. Funpart- Delete everything in the (program Files\S2U2 ) folderexcept these files:
-iLock2.exe
-iLock2.log
-s2u2.log
Step7. Move both of the newly renamed files in the( program files\vijay555 ) folder that we renamed "s2u2.exe" and "s2u2EXE.exe" in to the (program Files\S2U2 ) folder
Step8. press your power button right after copying... it shouldn't work
Step9. press the iLock2.exe program.... it should work now!!!
To Change Wallpaper... Select an image to use and rename it "lockscreen_image.png" and place it in the root folder
couple of notes....
1. you shouldnt have to add .exe when renaming programs
2. When you press the power button you cant immediatly do it again and expect the wp7 lockscreen to be there ... it is a slow program takes about 2 seconds to load so when you turn of your screen it will be about 8 seconds for it to fully initiate

for the cab you do not need any pre-requisites of programs the little parts of programs needed to make this work are included in the install
program can be uninstalled.. is called intui-tech intui-lock
hmmmmm... it seems there is a sort of apps, which catch power button
in order to display their own menu (shutdown-restart-etc).
Probably some of these ones can launch smth.?
at least you can dig into this direction...
i think that quickshutdown can do this... especially intercepting the power button.

i appreciate your suggeastions but what i am really looking for is so that when i press the power button the screen goes off and wp7 lockscreen.exe go at the same time without extra clicking process...

Try this. If it was my setup, I would replace the s2u2.exe or whatever it is called with the lock program I was looking for. There is probably a lock.exe of some sort in the windows folder. If you follow the instructions for this program, it will replace the lock program with your specified program automatically whenever it is looking to launch the lock program.
I do this with my calendar and clock and it works like a charm. Hope this helps!

sounds good but i cant really get it to work with s2u2 and the lock exe in windows is uneditable.. ohwell
Quickshutdown has an option to launch an application when activated, without extra tapping. You just have to configure what application to launch and how the behaviour is. So when you push the power button Quickshutdown is launched and the the selected application is launched too.

thanks guys for your help but i found the perfect configuration for this to accomplish what i want...
i used the suggestion in POST #7 with the s2u2 application ... works very well at launching Jaxbot's wp7 lockscreen just by single pressing the power key
if anyone else wants what i did i would be happy to upload the configuration i am using....

Step6. Funpart- Delete everything in the (program Files\S2U2 ) folderexcept these files:
-iLock2.exe
-iLock2.log
-s2u2.log
Step7. Move both of the newly renamed files in the( program files\vijay555 ) folder that we renamed "s2u2.exe" and "s2u2EXE.exe" in to the (program Files\S2U2 ) folder
Step8. press your power button right after copying... it shouldn't work
Step9. press the iLock2.exe program.... it should work now!!!
couple of notes....
1. you shouldnt have to add .exe when renaming programs
2. When you press the power button you cant immediatly do it again and expect the wp7 lockscreen to be there ... it is a slow program takes about 2 seconds to load so when you turn of your screen it will be about 8 seconds for it to fully initiate

i will add a step by step for the cab however
i dewcided to put just an update addition because im not sure if the developers of these three programs are okay with the cab i created...
i actually had to rename it like a new program because i equally used three different ones so im waiting to hear backfrom them
my cab pretty much does what the step by step says to do iam gonna leave the original step by step there incase they want me to remove the cab
the cab instructions will go in the update section
so does the cab install too the 3 programs? install the cab and bingo! everything is installed and ready to go?

Very nice but, I have a few questions/problems...
1. Is it possable to adjust the font size ? On my Vzw Touch Pro 2 (WVGA) only Dec is shown in December, as the font is very large (maybe a lacking font for this ?)
2. Is there a way to get better performance from it ? Sometimes when I hit the power button (to wake it) it will not even show the lock screen, then it comes down a few seconds after.
3. When sliding up, I have to make sure my finger goes all the way from the bottom to the top, if I start from a little from the bottom, I have to attempt it again, sometimes this will take 2-3 times before I can open it, Can this be ajusted ???
4. When you change the image, is this the root of the device or the folder created by this installer (Program files\Intui-Lock) ?
Jaxbot said he did not include a font (Segoe WP) causing the text off the screen problem.
