I have a 6828 with chinese rom, but I don't know chinese. So, how can I do to change language from Chi to Eng? Are flash the ROM VR 1.00.03 WWE can do this? How can I get it?

maybe you want to learn chinese for now... there's no ROM for hp 6828 yet... you can't install atom ROM into ipaq devices...

No need to fret my friend, while you have been learning chinese, a beta version of the rom upgrade has been in the works and is already out and in the hands of a privileged few. You should be able to learn some more about it

I downloaded this new 1.01.03CHT(sp34075.exe)and try reflash my rw6828, when it's about 90%, a fatal error occur said that hpRUU.exe HAS TO be closed.
Now, my poor 6828 is dead, no power up, no hard reset, just no response over all~~~~

Hi, the link is up now, I just did some bug fixed during cook the rom, I had some mistake .. lucky our GREAT jiggs inform me this issue. Again all the credit should come to him.

after clicking "next" on the "welcome to device sftware update utility" screen, i get an error box on my computer that says "c:\windows\temp fail.."

This is just a 3.5MB exe file that adds arabic support to the device.
I will be testing it on ROMeOS 1.13 now.
EDIT: This is not installing on ROMeOS complaining about the GUID doesn't match the device ID.
EDIT2: Only devices from specific countries that need arabic support are eligible to download.

yeah, I also entered my s/n and it told me my dev wasnt supported.
Im gonna check this out to see if it adds some bidi support - which i need for Hebrew. The company, mobidiv also has hebrew support, but im not sure how to get it.
I was able to download that Arabic support because my HTC TP is bought in UAE. The ROM version will NOT change, mine is still 1.90.456.3 WWE, ROM Date 08/20/08, Radio version 1.02.25.19 and protocol version 52.33.25.17W.
The only difference is that now in device info ExtROM version 1.26.488.9 is now listed. Arabic is supported well I guess, even though I cannot read it!

This rom was released in India by end of november. It shipped with 1.02.25.28 radio and with protocol 52.33.25.17G.

Hmmm, OEM looks like 1.90.405.1 .....
i followed the instructions exactly as described here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=427507 and used 1.90 rom as base but the rom i dumped was 1.95.720.20. So i dunno how it could be 1.90. If anyone else wants to reconstruct it i will post the dumps too.

It's an official HTC rom. It was sim locked to Idea, a service provider in India and i was given an unlock code when i got it from the dealer. Please wait for some time as i will post the RAR file containing all the .raw parts

This the official rom version 1.90.405.1. I think there was a problem when he dumped the rom, I think he used option "a" instead of option "b" which caused the kitchen to dump the original rom not part01 and and part02 raw files.
We ned the Raw files to redump them.
