The autoconfig.exe that came with WM6 AKU0.3 is not fully compatible with WM6 and the network settings. So, I uploaded a new autoconfig.exe for WM6 to do the network settings.
People report that by not configuring the network settings correctly, the SMS does not function properly.
During first hard reset, the WM6 SetupWizard can configure the network settings simply by going to the tab of Network setup. By skipping the network setup will not install any provisioning CAB for your network settings.
Another scenario that is also possible... If your network settings is not found in the \_QHiddenPartition\Networks folder, it is possible that your network settings are not configured properly. In this case, the proper settings should be included in the said folder using Total Commander. OR to manually install the network settings without using the AutoConfig.exe application.
Now, it is appropriate to start out with a clean system and zero in to your problem first before installing anything else. This will eliminate all possible third party incompatibilities, and if ever you have a problem, you can absolutely be sure, its the ROM.
Thank you for your reply.
But there is no network configuration included in Official config. Because our operator is small. And before there was sms ok in your previous releases (excluding wm5 3.3.3c, wm6 0.3.0), and i always ignoring network settings, but it work. Any ideas? Thank you.

It happens to me also.. after another hard-reset, everything went good.
After the second hard reset I:
1) left hided the hidden partition;
2) did not immediatly make a PIM restore.
Hope this can help.

hello guys.I have a minor problem with all the WM6 Roms.I use the settings i used with WM5,but i can't recieve any mms... I have no problem sending... It seems that my phone can't recieve the mms "alert" from the network carrier, and download the message.I tried to sync manually(using send/recieve) but i get a sync error.... I am currently using PDAViet 4.0.0.0.3a.... Any ideas or solutions, will be very-very helpfull....
Send/receive has nothing to do with MMS/SMS, unless you've got some strange settings set that queues the MMSs until you press that Send/recieve. Even with my fully working MMS under WM6 I get a Sync error if I press it.
Just manually configure everything (again) and it should work. Didn't work for me, however, until I found a few provider MMS .cab files. I ran two of them and I could suddenly recieve MMSs. I am using trueneytrals WM60 and T-Mobile.

After numerous attempts to get MMS working under the xda and tnt wm6 roms, I had to revert to an official wm5 rom to get it working.
As upto now I haven't a clue of the cause of this.
The only one I could come up with is the fact that the wm6 roms contain mms composer 3.5 instead of 3.0 (arcsoft)
When I upgrade to Pdaviet 4.0.0.0.3a, after I manually configured the MMS settings, I also thought that there was a problem with that rom. I could receive but not send, always hang in 97%.
A few days ago I updated to the new rom, 4.0.0.0.5, and it was even worst. But after I reviewed the settings, now I have no problem in receiving or sending MMSs. My fault on this one.

How did you solve your problem?
I'm on 4.0.0.0.5 and I can't send or receive MMS on TMN and I'm pretty sure everything is well configured.
TIA
Edit:
I sorted it out, just created manualy the connection with the right settings...
hello again.
i dont really remember if atom exec had the same issue with WM5.....
now i have jiggs latest rom
and i noticed that when a friend makes me a very short term call the number doesnt show up instantly......so if the caller hangs out too early the number of the missed call is shown as ''Uknown''
p.s. let me explain what i mean short call......here in greece when we want to just notify someone that we are thinking of him/her we just ring his phone once and then hung the line.
or in other occasions when we are going to meet each other at a certain place certain time we make that type of call to notify we are there
is there any solution to the problem?
Yup, same here. Unknown for the few seconds and the real caller no will display afterward. If we using call filter such as CallFirewall and we put some contact to be filter, the caller still get through due to it only filter the first display 'unknown' not the no. we assigned in the list.
bump.
if now there is no solution can i at least hope that jiggs and other rom cookers will try and search a bit about the problem?
thnx in advance fellas
I have the same issue with my Atom as well. Original WM5.
yeah, me too with original wm5
it's annoying
Dummpp....
there is an OLLLd solution for that! And works just great.
It is called: SMSDrFix
(there is a wm5 version that also works flalessly on a wm6 device)
Just install it, configure it (it is a program), reset the device and youre done!
cheers
Where can we find it...please help
Here it goes chap..
But I think this solves something else.. like when you send a SMS and you receive delivery report. Then it shows only the mobile number in the report. what it does is pick up the name of the person from the address book and show the name instead of the mobile number.
So I am not sure if it works for short missed calls or not. for short missed calls ATOM can't sense the mobile number for some reason. That's why shows unknown..
Anyway... have fun...
Regards,
After many tries without success, I finally managed to integrate in only one cab all the needed to get VOIP calls without the listener bug (rtcdll.dll) in my two devices. I checked it in HTC TYTN (Hermes) and HTC Trinity (P3600) runing both Windows Mobile 6.1.
The install method is simple. Download this file:
Code:
http://rapidshare.com/files/124054481/destr0_VOIP_WM61___SIP_Config_1.1.CAB
And install in your phone.
Then, go to Today menu, Programs, Sip Config Tool, input your provider settings and save. Then, go to Today menu, Settings, Today, Items and check "Internet Calling". Then, go to Today menu, Settings, Phone, Internet, and select "Only if cellular is not available" or "whenever available" according to your needs.
Softreset your phone, and after that, connect to a wifi network. You will notice that in your Today screen, the VOIP line has changed from "No service" to "Available". If you want to make a VOIP call, click on this line, and will change to "Selected". All the calls you make from now on will be done using your VOIP line.
Hope it helps you!

Nice work, will test now.
Been a while since ive seen a single cab for the drivers and SIP config tool (thx shaun33).
EDIT:: fired the cab up in WM6 emulator device and the dll loads up nicely, sip config tool is there. Internet Calling today item shows up and the Internet tab appears in phone settings. Its good stuff....didnt need a soft reset either.
please provide feedback for your devices, I checked in the two ones I have and it worked.

Hi destr0, just installed on Kaiser (TyTN_II) with HyperDragon IIIm ROM (WM 6.1 "lite"). Registered and running to my VoIP provider like a charm.
Tomorrow I'll use/test it heavily at work (where we have an asterisk/sip as internal phone system)...
Thanks a lot for your sharing.
Dude,
Its awsome to see that that app is still kicking.
If you can think of any upgrades that would make it easier to intergrate with your cab shoot me a PM or catch me in the IRC chan.
Everything seems to be working ok on my AT&T Tilt 8925, but i dunno what to put for sip server and such. Tried going to tools, load config, from device and that brings up an error every time.
daigoro64, I have an asterisk server at work and even with it, calls go out through the wifi and reach the destination phone.
yusuke14, you have to create yourself a VOIP account. There are many providers, I personally use three from betamax: www.voipbuster.com, www.justvoip.com and www.intervoip.com. You can look at theis fares here: http://backsla.sh/betamax
Shaun33, of course your app still rocks! many thanks for it. I suggest you could have a list of sip servers in a dropdown box to be easier to configure for the first time
Good work destr0. I keep it for next NiAx's Rom.

I have an Elfin (HTC Touch) with the latest rom 19949.1.2 installed. Sound comes from the external speaker and mic is not working. This might be caused by the latest rom. Other Elf\Elfin user tried to install Voip for wm6.1?

In my TYTN (build 19949.1.2) and Trinity (build 19213) uses the internal one

--> Will it work on mi P3300 (Artemis) running WM5 ??
tried it but doesn't work here.
Incoming calls: after answering with green button other party still hears the tone as if i didn't pick up.
Outgoing calls: can't hear other party
this was tested over 3G. Haven't tested over wifi.
I have read and read and browsed and downloaded and typed and entered and so on!!!!! But none of the solutions or cabs seems to work for Erofich's Standard 6.1 1.1.7 version. I am on the Cingular/AT&T network. Does anyone have the fix? I can send MMS but cannot download.
Have the same problem but can download picture not audio files

i have the settings if you want them. the cab files wouldnt work for me either. just pm me or just ask in the forum.
settings
they are also on the att website.
Yes, the settings on the ATT website WORK, but not completely. The MMS header will download, but you can't view any pictures. This must be a ROM issue - I've tried everything I can think of!
Finally resolved
This is one of those occasions where you are not sure what fixed it in the array of changes, but it worked, so don't argue with results.
I went in and cleared out all the settings that came by default with the 6.1 ROM. (Proxy, GPRS, MMS, etc.)
I then input by hand the settings on the AT&T website at:
http://forums.wireless.att.com/cng/board/message?board.id=cingular&thread.id=84238
Thank you Firewulf for the kind offer. I am curious to see what your settings are though.
I get alerts, I am able to send and receive all MMS messages as well as txt msg and Exchange Outlook email. No ERROR SYNCHRONIZING anymore!
Strange... my internet works (as well as all my internet enabled apps), texting works fine, but MMS is still a no-go! I don't get "error synchronizing" anymore... it just tries to send and always fails 5 minutes later! I have checked and re-checked the settings - I am running the latest WM 6.1 Standard ROM from this forum.
Hey all, i originally posted this problem in January, still no fix.
Wondering if any of the new folks to the forum have any suggestions.
I am using an unlocked TG01 from Orange (UK) on Rogers in Canada (GMT -5), using the official 6.5 ROM. CE OS 5.2.21840 (Build 21840.5.0.60)
My SMS messages recieved are logged 5 hours behind current time. My SMS messages sent are logged at the current time. My suspicion is that it has to do with the origin of the phone, from the UK.
I have searched xda forums and modaco forums, microsoft, and google.
I have total commander, and have modified the registry in a few was, as described below:
I have added the TrustTimeZoneField field dword (in HKLM\System\Phone Settings\OEM ... or whatever it was.)
I have modifed HKLM\Time Zones to include Eastern Standard Time with the proper TZI file.
I have tried to set the timezone to another setting (like GMT -3) reset the phone, and then change it back, and it doesn't not work.
I have download a cab file that was supposed to fix it too.
I am looking for any other ideas, please, and thanks.
Rogers Canada Connections Settings
I followed rogers settings I found on from another site , but although I managed to get the sms working, MMS is still ignoring me. I also cannot connect to the internet/skype using 3G, only wifi, which is quite annoying.
Anyhow, give this a try and see where you get. I found that the Toshiba framework doesn't allow you to add all of these settings, so that might be part of the problem. Anyone have a .cab that might allow for a more comprehensive wifi/3G settings input?
