But I need 2 know if I can change my IMEI no. as i cant connect the fone 2 the Telstra network (Australia) because the fone was in my ex girlfriends name and to be a ***** she has blocked it... Somebody please help me !

FYI in Australia you can only block an IMEI if the phone is reported stolen to the police... if your IMEI is blocked then the phone has been reported stolen.
You need to sort this out with the police and phone company... changing the IMEI is definately illegal.

Can anyone please help, A few months ago i used the Manipulator to unlock my XDA and at the same time i changed the IMEI to my birthday,
Since then i have upgraded to SE rom 1.1 and now PPC2003, And the phone now has a faulty speaker and i need to send it back to o2 for repair, But i cant change the imie back to the original.
Can any one please help or advise me on what to do

I'd just turn it in. My guess is that if they ever use the IMEI, they just read it off the back. And if they do notice the discrepancy, just pretend you have no idea. "Must be a virus", "But, but.. That's my birthday...!"

How did you find the IMIE?
I have the other problem, I can't change my IMIE, I have Manipulator running but all I see is the top two entries, Is there a software switch or something else I should do to show it so I can change?
What are the problems with imei manipulation in later radio stacks, I noticed that feature is disabled when 4.21 radio stack is detected.?
No IMIE showing
I know the Later version of the radio stack will not let you run the IMIE change , however mine is as follows a quite early one. Any clues as to why I cant see the IMEI ?

I think there are 2 versions of xda manipulator.
I tried 3 versions of the manipulater, but none of them worked, so i just sent mine back for speaker repair with the IMIE the same as my birthday, they repaired it and sent it bak with no problems, so its still has my birthday as the end of the IMIW and all is working fine

This phone worked well,after upgrades, in Germany and India but it does not seem to work in UK. I have tried Orange and Virgin operators but not able to make any calls.
I have tried both sims in my nokia phone and these are working fine.
After dialing *#06#, I get a number which is quite different from the number on the back of the phone. So seems it has changed after so many upgrades...
Can someone suggest if I need to change IMEI. I tried updating radio rom to 2.69.xx.xx..but that didnt help.

Is it because the device has been blocked by UK operators (this would be the case if it was lost or stolen). Is it a G4 or a G3 device? If it is G4, the IMEI can not be changed. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=278978

Its G4 device and I bought it from Germany with a contract. To my surprise, IMEI (from *#06#) is quite different from what is on the backside...here I am not talking abt 2 digit diff.
Could it be becoz of the lang. change (from Deutche to English). I am using 6.1 ROM at the moment.
Changeing the ROM should not change the IMEI as they are stored in different memory areas. Do you have the original box? and if so, does the IMEI match that?

Unfortunately, I dont have that box with me...as I threw that one whiel moving to another apartment...

my htc nike while flashing the rom lost his imei... i dunno why and how, but if i check with *#06# i get XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX00....
the phone work great... but it can't sincronize the network and get the operator signal...
i cant use it for phone and sms..
i must repair the imei!!!
i tried Iwizard, it can recognize the phone but it read a wrong imei and if i write the original one it won't change!
what i have to do for make iwizard work well??

First you need to flash spec. version of radio.
next step is change IMEI by TTY client. But you need to know IMEI address in memory.
I don't know it. Try PM to NetrunnerAT or other well-known guy

am from uk and i bought my Samsung of a friend the Samsung was locked to 1 network at the time and i needed it to work on vodafone prepaid uk

ok just for the info i just added the sim card in now again and did master resset after 24hours and vodafone uk is reconized but i checked the imie still 004999010640000 and i know if i restart the phone my network wont be reconized and it will give emergency call message again please help

I'm having some issues with my i9300 i bought not too long ago pre-owned, i'm going to try my best to keep it clear and simple but...
I bought a i9300 off ebay locked to Optus mobile network, now before I tried to unlock it i rooted it and installed the cyanogen mod 10.2.0. Now I cant read my imei number and some other specs on the phone, i believe you need the imei or else it wont always work i'm told (unlocking the network). Ive been looking around for a stock rom from optus australian versions to see if that fixes the imei problem (didnt check to see if it was there when I had original rom on it). I've been running into problems finding a site that lets you download over 1 gig files without registering (**** that ****). Now I have two questions.
1. Can someone point me to a link of a fool proof no surveys and no registry restrictions of a stock rom from optus??
2. Is there it required to have an imei for unlocking or will unlocking fix my imei problem??
Is there a free way and relaviley easy way to unlock my phone??
Appreciate any help and ask for any more information
