if it works well, then we may have TOUCH on another next release of jiggs ROM, we just need to use the evaluation version first, to fix bugs and to have a perfect wm6 ROM on next release,.

1.You need tp map all icon
2.it is not easy to operate cause atom just only got soft touch panel
3.does this app consume much more battery and memory???

I tried something like this before for iphone
I prefered a true ROM for it so not installing it..
Plus remapping all icon can be a troublesome for lazy ppl like me isnt it?
...I wanted to use this since 3.3.2b. Really, I did.
Lagged like heck tho, and eats more memory than HTC Home because of its flash nature.

I got rid of the O2 branding completely when I was on my old Mini. Can't do that for the Atom, tho, or I don't have any idea how to.
A english wm6 rom. Probabaly with touchflo support.
xcpuscalar, O2 software like O2 connect (which remove in AKU3.3) o2 plus etc, and a battery saver

very very very clean rom I hate to force using bloody o2 programs or other third party. It would be a great idea if you have your clean rom and choose the programs that you prefer.
o2 didn't got the idea and i hate to have a 27 mb ram and 37 meg rom at first place. every kb saved will be appritiated (especially for ram)
I agree a clean stable rom would be best. So we can add our own choice of software And have free ram.
Resco explorer would be good instead of the normal one though because the first thing everyone does or atleast should so is get rid of the lame windows file explorer.
Btw any idea around when the rom will be done? Estimated ofcourse

I think we should thanks JIGGS for working on this. I know how busy he is because of our request...
JIGGS dont forget a donation site ha ;-) at least a little reward for your effort.
I think the primary objective here is to get a clean Rom.. Without O2 branding. and ****. after which every one can install what ever they want . im just waiting to test the voip service out.. the third party software is too laggy ..

Btw, along with resco explorer you should put the wizard htc retouched dialer with the smart dial option, it looks so sexy!!
Anything that doesn't need to be installed on the main memory should not be included to make space. You could however provide it seperately so we can install it on the memory card

I've testet a few ROMs but (respect to your work!!) they had selfmade Icons and added software. Thats looks good, but I would prefer an original MS WM6.

Yes, this one. I have released it the day before yesterday. You can not use HP's rom, but this one is dedicated to atom.

If you haven't already bought it:
Do not go for it if you will use it for messaging, touch screen only input isn't the best idea when you want to use it for meesaging. Go for a device which has a keyboard (even a Alpah-Num keyboard is better than none). Whenever I have to send even a small sms, it freaks me out. However, if thats not the case, its the best value for money PDA around.

Buddy, is this the case even when you have ezinput keyboard?? I dont feel the need for a keyboard much with it. But ya, the original SIP is not very finger friendly. And the problem that i feel with keyboard based devices is that they often have small or non-standard screens (i mean they are standard, but software create problem with screens like wqvga etc). SO i would not like to go for it.Anyways, its a matter of personal choice though.

Vox has a QVGA screen, so no issues there, and size is also good enough 2.4" (though not as big as Gene ). Since that guy is just buying his Gene, so I don't think he will be in a rush to flash it (Like me, I flashed it the very next day ), and thus void his warranty. So ...
Actually I just loved the full QWERTY keyboard of Vox, may be because it was my first.

Back from a vacation, and nice to see lots of excitements here. Sumit & Ankit, keept it up guys!
I do own both Vox and Gene. But I am far more comfortable with touch screen input. Reason being, the qwerty keyboard in Vox needed both hands to operate it, which is difficult, especially when you are travelling in a crowded train or bus. I found, Gene far better in this case, as I could easily operate all the keys with one hand. But, as Sumit suggested you should go for a better keypad than the default one. Touch Pal is my favorite keypad, which allows me to access all keys smoothly without any hassles...

when i got my stock orange rommed tg01 it can with an edited stripe menu i thought a flash may have the tosh origonal one but i havent fount it yet
so after an xda and google search any chance of a cab
If there is enough demand I will attempt to make a cab of the stripes menu.

im pretty sure orange changed even the toshiba menu so unless they were bought from yosh directly i dont think anyone has seen the real abikity of he menu.

i am also interested. On the stock winmo 6.1 it had 3d effects but in the 6.5 update toshiba removed effects becsuse they thought customers wont use it anymore.
Novembre5 perhaps you could extract a cab version from the stock 6.1 Rom?

Sorry i do not know where to get the ROM from i bought my device with 6.5 already pre-installed. All i know of these 3D effects are from another thread and at MWC's .It isnt on the Toshiba Website aswell. Sorry i cant help you there. Perhaps some others who bought the device before 6.5 may provide a dump of the rom?
yeah i thought there was a diffewrence
in the 6.1 the three stripes moves individually like opening three doors at the same times and then in the 6.5 they turned like three doors attached as one opening

I feel upset...Toshiba's strips was considered worldwide as one of the worst apps in the ppc's history. Even Toshiba included the SPB Shell because most of users didn't use that horrible launcher...
Anyway, as said, one man's meat is another man's poison....
Dear Novembre5, if you are really thinking in making this cab, please leave this task as the less urgent of your "To do" list......

I hadn't realised quite how attached I had become to a LOT of applications until I flashed the DFT rom a few days ago...and after using the mango release I have also become quite attached to mango features like facebook chat and IE9.

It seems to, sort of. The Microsoft test sites don't work properly, but it seems to be more that the visuals don't work as you can hear them working (some have HTML5 sounds).
I think the browser can do it, but it relies on GPU assistance which isn't working on the HD2 as far as I can see. Some HTML5 elements do work on normal websites, so yeah...you mileage will vary.
I'm quite excited for those tools. I'm ready to start digging through the ROM and seeing what I can find. ;3
