HTC streaming media player issue

HTC streaming media player issue. When loading a youtube video the streaming media player pops up and tries to buffer, then times out. This is when the s740 is set on wifi.
The phone is looking for rtsp:// ???? connection.
Why would I need this setting if I have a good connection to my home wifi?
Wouldn't you think it should play?
I am a T-Mobile customer with total internet.

rstp is the streaming media link/protocol for the video you wanna watch. try a different versuion of htc streaming media. there are loads of modded ones on here that work perfectly. also try coreplayer version that supports rstp streaming protocol.

[Q] Media Player for streaming video from tablet to TV

I am playing mms streams from the web using Daroon Player. It is free and works fine.
But I also want to throw these streams to my TV (wdtvlive)
Daroon Player does not seem to be capable of throwing video anywhere.
Standard Sony Video Player can throw video. But it does not read mms streams from the web.
I tried several other media players from the Android Market like Mobo and VPlayer but they don't seem to work with mms either.
Any suggestions of a good free or paid media player that would handle both?

[Q] AirPlay App For Android?

Is there any kind of app that acts like Apple's AirPlay? I would love to see something similar on Android. I've read about a home entertainment system from google that is in the works.
For the meantime... Has anyone found an app that does something similar? Outputting the device's screen to a DLNA TV or receiver would be awesome. But at least something to stream audio? I have a Sony BR player with DLNA and I can sync with DLNA to play any stored music on my phone, but I would love to play my Google Music stuff on the TV and sound system wirelessly. I have tried browsing to the site on the tv but it crashes everytime I try.
Any ideas?
Take a look at Skifta and/or 2Player. Both allow you to set DLNA source and target when playing music. I use Skifta on my Evo 3D to set my Synology NAS as the DLNA source and pick music for playback on my XBMC HTPC (my DLNA target). Works well.

I tried looking at 2Player, but from what I can tell it only plays the music stored on the device. If I wanted to use Google Music, it wouldn't work, right? Or am I missing something?
2Player can source music from any DLNA music source on your network. You had wifi turned on and checked the drop down box at the top of the 2player screen for alternate sources, right?
Fairly certain Google Music doesn't have an option to push content. If it does, I've never seen it. Hopefully, they'll add that at some point. I do like their interface.
I don't what kind of phone your on. I'm using HTC Evo 3D (Sprint.. but hacked with ICS and Sense 3.6). HTC's "Connected Media" app can also DLNA pull/push Music, Photos, and Video to network devices.
Maybe try that..

Yeah sorry, I've got the Epic 4g Touch (SGSII) on Sprint.. The phone has AllShare which would do a great job if I had music stored on the device. My problem is I use Google Music for everything.
FWIW, another app with AirPlay like functionality is doubleTwist. Don't think its going to help with the Google Music thing though.
No, this is limited by the chipsets. Currently the only chipset that allows for this is the TI OMAP 4460 in the Galaxy Nexus. Although the chipset has the capability it has not been developed to be usable yet.
I had been looking for an app like this for the longest time. I'm not sure who was able to crack the Airplay sender protocol, but there are now several options for streaming music FROM Android to any AirPlay receiver. I tried a couple and found AOA to be the most compatible with my setup
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nav.aoaservice
The other two install a service (all the ones I tried require root access), but I found them to not work or not be compatible with my current ROM. AOA was and it works great.

[Q] Media Streaming Question.

Ok here is the problem I am having. Im using my PC in my office as a media server. I am able to connect with my DNA and pull up all my videos with ease. Thing is not all my videos are in .mp4 format majority are in .avi. I am able to see the thumbnails of the videos but when I play them it says cannot be played. So on the side there is an option where you can search for wifi players. Tried that and even though I have video apps like mobo, vlc, and mx video installed. HTC doesn't recognize these options as wifi players. So should I convert these movies to .mp4? Im trying not to because most are HD movies over a gig each.

Clear the defaults for your stock video player and tap on the movie you want while using a file explorer then pick what player you want. The player option is for you to stream from your phone to a device that can hande the format, not an app on your phone.

HTC Media Link HD issues

Hey everyone I've jumped over from the iPhone/Apple ecosystem so don't shoot me, but I'm really disappointed with this HTC Media Link HD. I've still got Airplay running side by side and these problems don't exist. I don't mean that to argue about Airplay and whatnot because neither companies are paying me royalties to argue for or against them. I just mention it because I can Airplay stream and mirror without a hitch so I don't want to fend off "your wireless network stinks" responses. I've got an Asus N66 and can sustain mbps back to my NAS/ESXi well beyond what this needs, and I can also stream non-hand braked blu rays without problem. I understand there is differences between streaming and mirroring, but also as I understand this should be a wireless direct connection.
Anyone having these problems:
1. Google Play (perhaps the latest version only) does not look to work with my Media Link. It will play one song and then stop as it tries to load the next song. Manually restarting the next song doesn't resolve I have to close and re-open. Spotify works fine.
2. Any flash I've tried to stream results in audio and video out of sync. I can mirror flash movies across airplay without this issue.
3. Audio cuts in and out in Spotify all the time. I can rarely get 2 songs to play in a row without chop. The cut outs are brief, but still very annoying.
Thanks for any help! Love the phone quite a bit, this is probably my first disappointment.
I have the same problem trying to stream google play music to media link. It only plays one song and it won't play any other songs until I disconnect from media link again - it works fine if its not connected to media link - but with media link only one song?

This issue exists with Google Play Movies as well. I tried contacting support about it a couple months ago with nothing ever coming from it. I was trying to play All Access via Play Music today and ran into the same problem. The songs will not even play when the Media Link HD is connected. I suspect this is some DRM related code put into all the Google media apps. I submitted a support email to Google as will attempt to get as far through to the real tech support people as I can to see if this incompatibility can be resolved. I urge you all to do the same. Stupid DRM...it ruins everything.
It won't play tv.com either, it will play cnn live broadcast, and vevo.
