I go contacts and select new.
Then it pops up telling me to input
Name:
Number:
But my friend has 2 number, mobile phone and home..how do i go about it? Also in SIM card manager u can only put one number beside each name wtf
any other contacts program i can download to fix this?

Dear brother u r senior enough to have asked this question in the already open thread at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=333165 . However, u should first time enter the name and number save it and then go to contacts open the same contact and edit, u will get a heck of long details u wanna add to this contact.

But:
ITA is the same I have (the about window says 1.00)
WWE looks to have dbase compatibility problems with contacts: gives a contact dbase read error

Files and structures changed in 1.20. So if you just run the cab on your device . there will be some files left over from previous versions which didn't got overwrite. They may (or may not) cause problems.
BTW if you don't wanna hard-reset to clear all those files. You have to remove it manually before you install 1.20 cab.

Now, I've changed the store of picture and ringtone into my device ,not in SD card.
I have found problem in WM2003SE with SD card. Everytime, your device is off and suddenly turn-on ,SD-card cannot be detected.
i am using ROM 1.72WWE with my XDA2...
i have moved the ringing tones to the internal storage...

Bcz the old IA CALLER ID is still running and you didn't delete it files that's why it's working with you.
First of all delete the IA caller Id shortcut from the \WINDOWS\Startup , reboot the ppc, then delete the files manually as it's posted before in this thread.

same problem with me IA_contact can not be replace, but when i copy it to my Extended ROM and run configurator to add it to my config, then hard reset it, it installed properly.
there are two downloads in this forum. Which one should i download? I have an unlocked o2 xda IIs in english.
one is WWE and the other is ITA. Guess :lol:
the WWE is World Wide English : ver 1.20, the other is an old Italian 1.0 I think
I have problems with sms displaying received phone numbers instead of names. I have tried soft & hard re-set but it still shows phone numbers insted of names from my contacts.

This is an old fashioned Problem with the PocketPC 2002 ROMs. There is an fix from Paragon Software. You can get it there for free....
OR it´s fixed in the WM2003 ROMs.

Hang on though - you have rom 3.17 which should have that fix built in.
My guess is that your mobile numbers aren't stored in the mobile number field within Contacts. Cut and paste them over and all should be well.

Problem may be that mobile numbers in contacts have to start +44 (in the UK) and drop the leading zero.
May also need to load them into SIM using SIM manager (not sure on this point!).
1st. Just Install 1.60a yesterday and :shock: it's amazing (thanx to buzz)
Later, since i didn't backup my contacts i lost it, luckily most of it were saved in my SIM. When i tried to copy them from Contacts > Menu > SIM Manager it says:
"The file 'SIM_Mgr' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of it's components cannot be found. You might need to reinstall or restore this file"

I've tried to use Asuka SIM Manager, yes it works. Read my SIM Contacts very well, then i copy all in SIM to Phone Contacts, but then what appears is "Unknown" instead of the Contact Names.
Can some1 help me with this ? Is WM2k5 come with default SIM Manager ? how can i install it ? if it doesn't come with SIM Manager, where can i found a good SIM Manager ? a download or threat link maybe ?
2nd. Another problem is I can't manage to find my storage i've try to look at Settings > Memory > Main and what i found is 14 MB of Storage and 120 MB of Program. Yes it's normal according to a few threat that i've read before, but when i'm trying to install program, the option is whether the application will be installed on DEVICE or STORAGE CARD, where is the Storage?
I'm sorry if i ask too much but i really need to get rid of this problem, if it's too lame to be answered, would some1 plz put a link to threats that are talking 'bout this problem ?

I want to use my Phone Memory to install programs which is now only 14 MB available. Also when i try to copy a few files from my MMC, it says memory critically low.
Can u give a light here ... plzzzz i'm in the dark ...

Im write small programm to unlock and unhide extended rom partition on Gene.
DO NOT USE IT ON OTHER DEVICES
USE IT ON OWN RISK
Copy programm on your Gene and run it.
After the message on success reboot your device.
You will have folder Extended_Rom2 in which it is possible to copy
files and which will be will remain at hard reset.
Total space in ExtRom - 10 MB.

the other key exists, the attribute value is:

Hey, this worked. I got Z_Card as the name of the new drive. As i am using my custom ROM with 4 MB of extrom, thats what i got but still its great!

Turn off your Gene
Hold both the softkeys and press the power button. Do not let go of the softkeys until you see a text prompt that says everything will be deleted, now get rid of the softkeys and press the call button.

Hello everybody,
i´ve made an upgrade in my S200 to wm6, everything worked except my contacts in my SIM card. I try to enter in the menu but he doesnt let me, i also tried to install icontac and the numbers and names dont show up, and when i try to put a new contact it is shown a error message.
When im recieving a call from a number that is stored in the SIM card it recognizes the name and number...
Can anybody help me with this bug or error?

We should do hard reset before restore the contact. Do hard reset or 'clear storage' soon after flashing a new rom. Good luck.
I think the problem it´s on the ROM, i have the version 4.0.0.4 PDAVIET, and i need the 4.0.0.6 TOUCH, but the link that has rapidshare here on the forum doesnt have the file, can anybody send me a new link to share this ROM?

Could you explain where is HKCU\ControlPanel\Phone\ShowSim?
go install registry editor~ copy to ur phone and install it~ then run that programe. den go edit the showsim at the location

change the showsim value to 1
