Hi VivaErBetis, I'm having problem unlocking my X01HT using v3a unlocker, it say phone unlocked and still ask for the network code, strange thing is when i type numbers ok button never highlight and my radio version remain 1.46 as i read the FAQ it should be 1.16, can you guide me?

same here i need to change my radio from 1.46 to 1.14 or 1.16.
i was tried and unlocked done with radio 1.14, after i run v3a automaticaly changed to 1.16. (unlocked done), but when i bought another one.. i get radio 1.46 on my device (x01ht), so i need to install 1.14 or 1.16.
i use ruu custom ftp://xda:[email protected]_radio.rar
and ftp://xda:[email protected]_CustomRUU.rar but did not change my radio ..still 1.46 any solution please.....

Did you reslove this? I have the same problem with a HTC HERM 300. The unlock process runs, but the rom is not updated. There are many blogs telling us that we have to get 1.16 radio version bu not:
- Where from
- how to install it
- how you get in to install/check it if the simlock is still there
Installing the unlocker tool v3a will install radio 1.16. It is part of the update process, when you downgrade your SPL to 1.40. You also downgrade your radio to 1.16.
If you are trying to unlock the xo1ht's, there has been some problems with unlocking this model, try running a search to see what is said.

Also to find the standalone radio rom do a search for "Hermes radio repository", use CRC's mirror as the other 2 don't work. You'll find it there.

You need to downgrade the bootloader to 1.04 to run the radio only upgrade. If you still have the bootloader 1.09 running on your device, the radio only upgrade will fail.
If your bootloader version is 1.09, you can buy the Imei-check unlocker to have bootloader 1.04. The HTC Hermes unlocker from imei-check is able to flash the 1.04 bootloader. It transfers the required files to the Hermes via ActiveSync before actually the unlocking key file with your IMEI is requested. The bootloader is flashed on the device after you enter the valid key file (you have to pay for that).

No, you still don't understand.
That method is only valid if your bootloader version is 1.06, if your bootloader version is 1.09, you can't downgrade because 1.09 will not allow to be "upgraded" to a lower version.
You should spend some time reading the wiki, otherwise you'll end up asking those pointless questions and will waste another 10's of hours or even days of your time asking those questions.

That ins't right.
I made de upgrade ro 1.35 ROM
Then i have bootloader 1.09, so i do the downgrade on bootloader with the *TOOL*, then i'm able to patch the 1.20 radio.
Actually i have:
Rom 1.35
Radio 1.20
Bootloader 1.04
So it's possible, but read is very necessary :S

Ohh yeah baby,
It's been done. They havn't said it has been done, but I assume that it has since I have checked their sice a couple times a week for the past couple of months just waiting for something to be said. They have removed the message about Softbank phones being unable to unlock. So I "ASSSUME" that you can now fully crack your phone with Softbank v1.09. Also for the simle fact that it is version 4 http://www.imei-check.co.uk/M3100v4Unlock.zip of their software instead of version 3. So, now we can crack, our X01HTs, we can downgrade to 1.04, flash with a English rom, then downgrade again to 1.01 and then flash with our custom splash screens.
Imei-check has cracked post December Softbank phones.

I tried as soon as I saw this post, I had previously bought the IMEI thingy (technically speaking) and realized that my phone was a post Dec. (I originally thought I got it in November, but I realized that I was just an idiot)
anyways a couple minutes later I'm using my Docomo Card on my unlocked Softbank phone.
I'm not gonna lie, it was well worth the $40.
Now, I am not sure if my mail is working. So you guys have any idea about the Docomo mail if that works or not on the Hermes?

I tried too.
This version can unlock sim, but but can not unlock ExtROM.
Radio can not upgrade, can not flash another radio.

How do upgrade other radios:
Unlock using v4b unlocker. Upgrade again to the X01HT 1.09 rom. Now flash the phone with a COMPLETE rom (for example cingular 1.24 or imate ). Now the radio will be changed to something else. YOU MUST flash a full rom on a 1.09 so your radio it be flashing too.
(2)
ok again. PRIOR to flashing NEW RADIO ROM you have to upgrade to bootloader SPL1.09. You DO NOT NEED to run the unlocker again. Your phone has to show SPL1.09 when you run the ROM update with the radio of your choice.
Extended ROMs are EMBEDDED in the firmware update. Any access from WindowsCE to this ROM has nothing to do with SIM or CIDunlock.
So solution:
1) Update to bootloader SPL 1.09
2) Then run the update with radio firmware you like
NOTE: DO NOT RUN THE UNLOCKER AGAIN! Then it will work.

To upgrade radio on a new "1.14.00.10 radio":
First unlock the device with v4b unlocker.
After unlocked ok, upgrade AGAIN to the SB firmware so the 1.09 bootloader back in place.
Now flash the device with a FULL original HTC Hermes firmware (for example cingular full firmware) and now the radio will be flashed to a different one.
IF bootloader is NOT showing SPL1.09 the radio it will NOT be flashed when you do the flash upgrade!!!

And succeeded unlock to use M3100v4Unlock.exe.
However, the radio was unable to flash another radio rom.

It was no lock.
However,can not run MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe.

Hi all.
My Softbank has b/l 1.04 and the 1.14.00.10 radio on it. To use this method,which rom do I use for the 1.09 b/l? I looked at wiki,and the only one was a Japanese version for softbank. It does not match my Softbank, so I am not real sure which way to go. Is there a Dopod rom with the 1.09 b/l?
BTW.....My Sb is an HERM200 with the Dopod splash screen and was shipped with the Dopod 1.23.707.4 WWE Rom, IPL 1.01,B/L 1.04, and the dreaded 1.14.00.10 radio on it.

Yes, once it is SuperCID you are able to flash any shipped ROM in NBH format.

please READ: to flash an exctracted radio you need bootloader 1.04, your bootloader is 1.09. The radio 1.27 is offered in two different formats: shipped (NBH) file which you will be able to flash and extracted (NBF) file which you will not be able to flash unless you downgrade your bootloader to 1.04.

If you are happy with the 1.18 radio, and don't need to access the radio bootloader or AT command interpreter, you can keep 1.09 bootloader without problems. There's no difference in day-to-day use of the Hermes as a PDA/mobile.

That's a way, but as I see in your signature your device is SuperCID, so to downgrade the bootloader you don't actually need to flash a full rom. The steps would be:
1. Flash bootloader 1.01 MFG
2. Flash SPL-1.04 from bootloader using 'lnb' if you don't want to keep the MFG.
You can do this without having to hard reset your device.

Sweet! Would it be a good idea to stick with 1.01 MFG if im planning on pursuing the GPS thing (IF we get past any risky stuff!), or even if i want to use some cooked goodies later on?

Your CID is the part just after "HTCS"
So in your case you get (from info 2) "HTCSQTEK_001ÖUSB" so your hermes is an English HTC branded device, your device is not SuperCID yet.
Check this post to see which it is (im only going by memory)
EDIT: I upgraded to the 1.27.00.00 radio yesterday, aslong as you use the signed released version (the first option on the related thread) you should be ok, dont use the extracted one. You MUST be SuperCID to upgrade the Radio (covering ones ass).
@basilrsa: Your CID is QTEK_001. Your device is CID locked with bootloader 1.09, you won't be able to flash 1.27 radio unless you downgrade your SPL to 1.04 first, either to continue CID locked and be able to flash extracted radio or to CID unlock and be able to flash shipped radio.

somehow i have flashed the bootloader 1.09 onto my device/.. hahaahaha

One solution is to obtain the bootleg 1.04 bootloader downgrade solution. With bl1.04 in place you can SuperCID. You may also be able to unlock with IMEI-check unlocker which I believe will also SuperCID you for 20 euros. I'm not too clear on this though...

At least you're somewhere. I'd try pof's superCID solution next. It may not work though. If not, you'll have to superCID with IMEI-check's unlocker.

the reason that pof's solution may not work is that your radio bootloader may not permit flashing of the custom radio rom required to implement it. I'm just not sure what radio you flashed when you mistakenly got bl1.09....

flashing POF's SuperCID radio now... currently 19%.....
works!!! now SuperCID after using DownGrade_SPL.rar and then flashing POF's patched radio... now to decide which version of OS and RADIO to update to... Sleuth, can you confirm if i now run an update from the exe will it keep the SuperCID and update the SPL to 1.09??
Best to stay 1.04 or even 1.01 MFG BL.
Flashing in nbh (using ruu exe) will maintain SuperCID so you can always get back to bl1.04 or 1.01MFG by using the bl1.01MFG solution (it includes bl1.04 in the download).
Watch out for the radio you flash though! flashing in nbh updates everything! Check the wiki: if radio bl is 1.0108 you don't want to go there!
Also: first test to make sure you are superCID by using mtty. Issue a "task 32" command. It must return "level = 0"
mmmm interesting... im using the Dopod838Pro variant of the HERM100.... now it was SuperCID, i just reflashed it with the HTC 2.05 Test ROM and now my CID is back to DOPOD001..... any ideas???
I was afraid of that. What's your radio ROM now? I believe you gave yourself a radio with bl 1.0108 when you originally flashed the rom that gave you bl1.09.

pof's radio flash is actually failing because your current radio bl (1.0108) isn't allowing it to flash.
You may be down to purchasing imei-check unlock solution to get superCID. Your radio upgrade choices will be limited too if this is the case.
after you're done flashing and running the update, immediately go to mtty and issue task 32. It must say "level = 0" if you are SuperCID. The update program always says "success" btw.

Maybe no need, first get your radio version in settings->system->Device info then look it up in the "available radio roms" wiki section. Radio bl is shown there.
If you are on a radio with bl 1.0108, your options (still a lot of them )are essentially spelled out in this thread.
ok but if i have managed to flash a new version of Radio ROM and Radio BL, if i downgrade the Radio Version to lets say 1.20.31.10 does it keep the newer version of Radio BL??
edit ...... ahh sh**.... Radio version is 1.34.00.10, is there any chance/possibility of downgrading this??? so i can SuperCID my device???

Did you run Herm_Unlock_v2a.exe on your Hermes after flashing the unlocker's 1.16 patched radio? If not, that's why you lost SuperCID.
I use a X01HT and successfully flashed 1.10.Oil SPL to my device also flashed 1.16 Modified Radio from Pof's Unlocker V3.
I used my device without any problem.But I recognized that my radio version is so low and wanted to upgrade to 1.34 radio.
Then I had a problem,if I want to keep my device unlocked,shall flashing new radio break this?When unloking my device I simply flash the 1.16 modified radio and then flashed xda live rom without superCIDing my device.And did not run the program which is included in Pof's Unlocker V3 either.
So what part do radio 1.16 modified play in unlocking the device?And is it possible for unlocked device to upgrade radio version?
I think I got a understanding about SPL versions,os rom upgrading but still losing about the radio part.All I know is that In Radio it keeps security level ,CID string infomation.So do it keep Provider SIM lock infomation ,too?

Your device is not sim-unlocked if you don't run the Herm_Unlock_v3.exe, you don't actually need to supercid it (unless you want extrom-unlock) because you already flashed hard-spl.

It unlocks security in radio, so device acts as SuperCID, thus allowing you to SIM unlock with any MSL code.

Thank you very much,Pof.For kindly answering my questions.
I have ran the Herm_Unlock_v3.exe and checked only the "SIM Unlock" option,after that I used SSPL radio only update tool and successfully updated my radio version to 1.35.00.11.Now everything works very fine.
And I also I checked the AT command:[email protected]?40,it returns 0 so now my device is unlocked very well.
