I used SoftSPL and downgraded SPL from 2.20 to 2.15 with o2 original rom.

Hi all, Just got a an O2 mini S for my wife because she liked mine so much. Unfortunately it is a G4 (mine is a G3) and it has all of these CID unlocking issues. I want to put a WWE Rom on this German G4. Is it correct that if I unlock my phone at http://www.imei-check.co.uk/ I can put any ROM on the G4? Or can I still only put certain ROMs (if so which ones?) on the G4? Thanks for any help.

yes http://www.imei-check.co.uk/ will cid unlock your phone, making it possible for you to flash your device with all sorts of roms using the normal ruu .exe method.
Alternatively you can use mun's shelltool.

I used the tutorial here: CID Locked Flashing (MUN's as you suggested), and I was able to flash a WWE Rom. I have to say I was scared I would damage the phone, but MUN's top notch instructions helped a lot.

AS I HAVE ALREADY TRIED TO DOWNGRADE MY ROM WITH "CUSTOM__RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE" BUT IT GIVES ERROR 300 AFTER 3 STRIP SCREEN
I HAVE TRIED A COUPLE OF ROMS BY FOLLOWING STEPS...
CHANGE ROM BUT IPL/SPL REMAINS 2.*.0001 WHY THE F__K (I WANT TO KNOW)
1) LOKIWIZ02B--- DOING UNLCOK AND THEN CID UNLOCK
2) THEN IWIZARD TO CHANGE THE IMEI PUT IN ANY IMEI BUT IT REMAINS SAME.
PLEASE GUYS ANYONE WHOSE GONE THOUGH THIS SITUATION... HELP ME OUT BY STEPS

2.-you need a unlocked g4 or g3 for imei change
3.-lockwiz v.3 works only for g4 search in the wiki lockwiz for g4 prophet charmer and wizard unlock repeat sim unlock
for a cid unlock yo need bought the imei-check.com key file (why htc use the damm g4 doc??)

Old "G3 DOC IC" is out of Production. HTC cant get this IC.

Thanx for the concern guys, because i bought this t-mobile mda vario locked on any network thats y i need to cha*g* imei no.
----->"can you please tell me which specfic rom should i use to downgrade it 1st"..
then as u said earlier unlock it with lokiwiz 03 and
use iwizard to cha*g* the imei
and upgrade the rom in the end
and i have even paid money to unlcok it from imei-check but that never worked aswell
Through research of different posts I have determined that I have a CID unlocked G4 model. I have a Qtek 9100 with MW 5:
Ipl 2.17.0001
Spl 2.17.0001
Gsm 02.07.10
Os 2.17.7.2
I was hoping to find an easy way to upgrade to WM6 and install the new touch applications. Does any one have any suggestions on which WM6 rom to install. Everything on my wizard is original programming except I have added PHM registry editor.

There is no easy way... Are you sure your G4 is CID Unlocked? ALL G4 are locked in factory and the only way to unlock them is via imei-check website. You can use ShellTool to flash any WM6 here in the forum (I recommend NBD 7.4 for the touchflo apps).
As soon as you keep a copy of manufacturer RUU for your Wizard, you can flash any ROM you like using shelltool (Unlocking not required, but never using RUU to flash unless it is a manufacturer RUU)

Read the wiki at first. You don´t have to unlock for flashing, but to downgrade your prophet to a special version. Then you can flash some of the versions you prefer.

CID lock has nothing to do with the OS. you can upgrade/downgrade your OS with CID lock phone. on the other hand you can not dowgrade your IPL/SPL if your phone is CID lock. ( don't change IPL/SPL if you don't know what they are)
Yes, before I can upgrade to WM6 it should be AKU2.2 ... Which software version is it when I look at device information?
so, if i have a g4 model with wm5, can i upgrade with the PDAViet 4.0.0.0.6 Touch? i've been reading wiki, but... there are always some kind of a fear to do the things for the first time...

I've tried to install the latest TNT WM6 Rom without sucess. I managed to install the LOVE ROM after but I really would like to install WM6.
I have a QTEK 9100 CID and SIM unlocked and when I try to install the TNT ROM I get stuck at 99% of procedure and then get ERROR 302. Already tried with TNT ROM 19199 V1 and V2 and in 2 computers and get the same error. I changed the update utility too.
Does anyone have any ideas?

If you have a G3 device,it might not be CID unlocked,download WST 4.2.2 tool and run the 'CID Action' button to verify the CID lock/unlocked status,but if its a G4,it cannot be CID unlocked,however,it can be upgraded to wm6 through methods called 'SoftSPL' and 'HardSPL',you can read about them in this G4 forum as 'Stickies'.
Btw,what is the IPL/SPL of your phone ?

My QTEK is a G4 and I tought CID unlocked meant that the phone was free for all networks since I bought mine free of operator.
My IPL/SPL is 2.18.0001

Its surely is a G4 device with ipl/spl 2.18.0001. All network unlock means its only SIM unlocked,but CID unlock means you can upgrade to any wm6 Rom.SIM unlock and CID unlock are both different things,a G4 phone cannot be CID unlocked,however it can be upgrade with either 'SoftSPL' or 'HardSPL' .

THank you for your help. It solved the issue by using the SoftSPL. I already installed the SNN V3 Rom and it is working fine but I would like to use the HTC Cube, where can I get a compatible one?
