Hi,
I installed HTC Voice Recorder from a cab file and Voice Recorder now works.
It would be best for schaps to cook a working version into the next rom, because I think I am wasting some storage memory by installing it again from a cab.
However, if you want it to work again and don't mind a little storage memory being used, download the link and install it.
This means I have a device with schaps 4.22 and no more bugs that I can tell! Thanks again for a fantastic rom shcaps.
i.e. there are fixes for
1) PTT/Button 5 - Install Sleuth's fix
2) WM5torage - insert a shortcut to the program
3) Voice Recorder - Install HTC Voice Recorder
Schaps: Please cook these into the next rom. It's better to have these working straight away when you flash the rom.

try this cab and it should install
HTC Voice Recorder records in .amr format. Is there a way where it can record in any other format? Coz my Touch cannot play .amr format files.

This is a more stable extended ROM since it is based on the Asian O2 Xda IIs which is built for WM2003SE.
PLEASE READ, as I notice a lot of questions are already answered in this first post.
I have also noticed a lot of "how-to" questions which have already been answered in other areas in the forum. Before downloading this, I strongly advise to browse the forum first to get an idea of how to upgrade or flash your device.
This is a .ZIP file containing only the extended ROM, the files I removed (Xda IIs specific) and some programs from the other extended ROMs posted in the forum that I feel are useful.
The extended ROM version is 1.12.924 WWE and was successfully tested against the 2.06 main ROM and the 1.18 radio varsion.
The bootscreen will say "Xda IIs" after the extended ROM AutoRun is completed.
I added the following:
1. Camera Software (none was included in the stock Xda IIs ROM, but does not support landscape mode)
2. EmailWiz (e-Mail setup Wizard)
3. ClearType Tuner (for adjusting the cleartype fonts)
4. Extended ROM Viewer (registry patch to make the extended ROM visible in File Manager)
5. Xda II ThumbPad Keyboard Driver
6. Intellipad (cellphone-like input software)
7. Latest Socket SDIO Wi-Fi Driver (compatible with Socket and Sandisk)
8. CAB Installer Utility (copied as cabinstl.exe in the \Windows folder - just manually create a shortcut)
I removed the following (included in .ZIP file):

I just installed the IIs version by Dr. Stein but could not have landscape mode as the 3rd button for camera was missing from the Buttons menu. My camera button could not be activated. The 3rd button place is now occupied by O2 Today and on the 5th line is Screen Rotate which is not there for the II version.
Does yours have these problems?
BTW, I thougt KSE Truefax latest version for O2 XDA II is v2.09?

The stock extended ROM for the Xda IIs does not come with the camera software, only a patch. The one I made includes the latest version of the camera software and dows not re-map the buttons for the IIs since I took out all the Xda IIs specific files.

It only includes the extended ROM (ms_.nbf) and some files that I removed from the stock ROM. I also included other useful programs in the zip file from the other ROMs posted.

I removed those 6 files specific for IIs fom the EXT ROM and my camera (3rd button) is now working. Landscape works as well through button mapping.
However, the problem of the vanishing bluetooth headset icon on the Today screen is still there like when I insert my O2 into its cradae for activesyncing. Cannot be solve, huh?

Nice to hear. This extended ROM is definitely more stable and faster than the previous one though.
Still did not include the Media Player 10, if someone can post the .CAB file I will include it.

You just have to replace the ms_.nbf file in the old one with the one included in the zip file posted here, and I would recommend a full re-flash including the main ROM and the radio. I noticed that when I flash just the extended ROM, it leaves my device in bootloader mode.
You can't delete the contents of the extended ROM on your device, it will be replaced when you re-flash.
I recommend you backup all your important data on the device first.
Again, a very nice job well done ZeroXtreme. I hope people realise just how much time you have put into producing these customised ROMs.
All we need now is WMP10 and a complete working Bluetooth solution .

I have cooked a ROM (Actually, recooked an exisitng one) and threaded SMS doesn't work - when active you can't open the SMS conversation at all - disable Threaded SMS and and all is fine.
I recreated my kitchen thinking that it may have a corrupt file, but I have replaced the SYS, ROM and OEM and it still is the same - what am I missing?

It happened my the same but when I changed manually after having already sms in the inbox.
Then I cooked it in the ROM and now its working.
PS - I also noticed some strange behaviours depending on the order or they way we apply the reg changes. Right now for this tweek i'm using a normal reg file and I forced to be the last one by changing the name of the package to Zxxxx (i was not sure about this but i confirm that after changing the name some tweeks started to work properly). Other solution is always the provxml.

I think it was items from the Mega Port that caused it for me too.
the only packages I am using at the moment (as I know they work 100%) are the Power_Off, Power, DeviceInfo, TaskbarIconMgr, HTCScroll,HTCFontLink and the Redial. The 2G dialer I had from someone else's release, same dialer but different colour - so I use that one.
The rest of the OEM/EXT Packages are a mix from IOLITE, JADE and TOPAZ.
Album 3 - I couldn't get the menu to accept finger touch.
Camera from Mega didn't work, so I still Use the Nike one -I did notice that the new Ervius kitchen that I created fixed the mms/email thing for the camera - I hadn't had that working using the jerpelea kitchen.
3G dialer I use the std Nike one
M2D from Mega wouldn't launch, sure I was missing something, but haven't had time to revisit it yet.
Other items from the Mega I will test as I go - the dump all in there and hope method failed miserably

I've tried a full Mega port too, with my french translation of all MUIs : that's catastrophic... It seems ResHack can't be used to do that properly. Maybe I'll learn english for a while ?
About RAM, I noticed about 35% only in use, so I think therea are packages that are not loaded (even if I think they're cooked since ROM size has not decreased at cooking).
new Notification_Enhancement works only if cooked in WM6.5 with HTCScroll2, HTCFramework and MEGA_Boot_Launcher, yuo need only to edit 2 mui files, work in my italian 6.5
(in 6.5 My phone console works only if yuo change dll and exe in sys with official microsoft cab one)
this is my work for the moment...
and about new keyboard? in NemanjaLO rom seems to work (only 16 key???)

Has anyone tried jerpelea's kitchen with Mega packages ? If it works fine (it's jerpelea's work so it should work...), it could be a good starting point.
About EZinput 2, I've made it work once, when I "savagely" port Mega stuff only renaming 0409 MUIs to 040C to match my ROM language.
By my side I'll try to port packages one by one to see what ones are really needed (and most of all, who need to be fited...).
I use a old style kitchen (newest than jerpelea)
EZinput 2 works fine, but some problem with hardware keyboards? my 20 key doesn't work fine...
I think i'm missing anything when i try to add notifications and menu pkgs i simple can not boot... i've added htcscroll2 and also htc framework.
Actualy right now i've added everything and is not booting... what is strange is that i already manage to put everything from mega and booting.
I will try now with 23009 maybe it will work... now i was with 23016
any hints?
Sincerely no hints... For my first try I put everything like a barbarian, only renaming 0409 MUIs to 040C to make them work with my ROM and almost everything worked almost fine, then when I began to translate them the problems came...
I really think we'll have to make a full port since packages look to be original (not only by the 96DPI res, but in their structure : even MUIs content doesn't match to corresponding VGA packages versions). Maybe the problem come from an old package we use ? Since they were made for 6.1 kernel maybe they interfer with new Mega stuff ?
The porting has just began my friends, we'll have to work to get the solution...
For me nearly all Packages are working, both in english and german!
But I have two extremely annoying problems:
- RAM usage is about 85% all the way, even without M2D 2.0 there's no big difference
- my Kitchen (the Ervius one) doesn't work anymore!!!
By the way: my last cooking status was with Build 23004! 23009 gave me image glitches like hell!
I've the same problem with ram!!! I'm using 23016 buid and without manila v2 works fine! also after customization do not restart...
I've translate some mui in italian (0410) and works without problems...
I've selected again the pckg from scratch and now its working (i dont what was missing )
I didn't use to much the phone but till now Opera is behaving strange... exiting sometimes with error msg and it is not related with flash.
About the HW Keyboards... I read somewhere that some people manage to put ezinput2 and HW working, anyone knows how?

Try using dotfred's task manager to kill the tmail.exe and then install
Thread should be edited.
This is ONLY for SOME builds of WM 6.5.3 and 6.5.5

This installed okay on my Rhodium after killing Tmail.exe but I still don't have Conversation email after a soft reset. I'm running build 28232.
Will this work on 23673
23673 is without threaded email (unless you have exchange 2010). Would this cab bring it back as it was in the last 23569 version?
Worked perfect after the second time I installed. I had to make sure to delete the email accounts first, then reboot, install the cab and re add the accounts. Thanks a lot.

After the first load of emails, the emails looked threaded. After that though now my gmail and exchange emails are seperate again. Am going to try to uninstall and reinstall the app.
Not sure about the stock ROM. I'm using Cloudy's ROM.
Works with WVGA resolution and Italian language?

I did everything according to your instructions, but your CAB does nothing on my Sprint Touch Pro2 running on Sprint Lovers ROM (CE OS 5.2.28232 (Build 28232.5.3.3)).

I killed tmail with DotFred's taskmanaber, and unzipped your files on my device's Windows folder. Once I re-start the phone, all Windows Default and wm6.5 services became disabled. I had to search for each files individually in the Windows folder and delete them before getting back the functionality of my phone.
Does any one else have another way of enableding conversaiotn emails in wm6.5.x, which is on Sprint Lovers ROM (CE OS 5.2.28232 (Build 28232.5.3.3))?

I have an xperia x1 with sutyi's lite rom installed build 23529. Does anyone have a cab file for the original htc dialer (topaz, rhodium or leo is fine)? I've search all over this forum and on the net can't seem to fine it without get a rom that has it built in. I've seen some dialers that have been themed but haven't found an original dialer that works with wm 6.5.3? If someone can lead me to one or provide one that would be great. Thanks again
I decided to port the phcanrcdll by myself for the latest Leo 2G dialer because I think it is suitable for my Fuze. I tried Rhodium S2 dialer, it is nice, but video call is too much for me.
My work is only on phcanrc.dll. You can install the WVGA dialer first, and drop my phcanrc.dll in \Windows. Just to make sure your phone canvas version is Phone_Canvas_Enhancement_2G_4_2_62120113626_0. It won't work for other version. Oh, of course we need amarullz's phcanvga.exe in startup directory.
You can also find the whole EXT package in my signature if you want to cook it in, that is from my kitchen. As I said, my work is only this phcanrc.dll plus some minor registry changes.
