Right, so this is getting pretty frustrating now...
Basically my external speaker isn't working, however every now and then it works fine....but only for a little while, and then it cracks it again, and it's back to silence, and the inevitable missed calls, missed alarms etc....
The headset works fine (and i'm pretty sure it disconnects when i take it out, as i'm running an audio mod that has a notification icon that disappears when i remove the headphones), the mic works fine, people can hear me fine on calls, i can hear them fine. The phone is NOT on silent mode.
I am running cm9.1....i have replaced the usb flex cable, and just replaced the external speaker. When i replaced the speaker, it seemed to fix the problem...i had a day or two of perfect sound, i was hearing notifications, calls, everything....then, back to silence.
Whenever i go to turn the volume up (in the vain hope of this working i guess), there is a short "click" sound, then nothing....if i press the volume button again, no click.... and as i said at the top of the post, sometimes it works just fine.....daaaaaaaaaaah (frustration noise)
Any advice, tips or magical fixes would be appreciated....

Hello guys.
I was wondering if you can help me with a problem I have with my S3.
When I am in a video call (without earphones - speakers working) the first five to ten minutes are fine. I can hear the other contact well without problems. But in the period from 5th minute to 10th sound (from speakers) its like I have slowed down the volume one click before the full volume down. But the volume bar is full. When earphones are connected are working full without problem. This problem is on tango and skype as well.
(my m/b was changed due to the familiar freeze problem)
no single answer?????
pls help

Regular call with speakers on does the same
I was wrong. It does the same thing in regular call as well when I have the speakers on. The solution is the same?
Hi i randomly get a very low in call volume both with the ringing tone and then the person's voice once connected. It seems to be completely random. I try calling again and the same thing happens until some time later. Anyone else experience this?
Anyone?
There is a thread somewhere here on in-call volume flucuations. You are not alone. I don't experience that yet with my G3 though.
Some have suggested it might related to the upper microphone ?
Thanks. I'll try searching again.
Hi, I have found a problem when my phone is connected to my car's bluetooth handsfree system and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions because I've tried everything I can think of.
Basically, when I initiate a call from the car the phone screen will light up and display the wake screen but the phone will not wake up and so the call is not made. If I manually wake the phone up first and then initiate the call from the car the call is made with no problems. Rather more bizarrely, if I initiate a call the screen lights up but the phone does not wake up or make the call. However, If I then immediately make the call again while the wake screen is still displayed then the call is made and everything is good.
It is almost as though it is not waiting long enough for the phone to fully wake up before giving up. My previous phone which was a Jiayu S3 did not have this problem.
Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on this.

From time to time it just happens. I hear nothing from the other side while they hear me ok and turning the speaker mode on also doesn't help. Only restart could fix it. It's not something new that happened during the latest update - it was like that for a long time. Is this some known bug and is there a fix?
Thanks
got the same problem now. did you find any fix?
Hi, I'm having the same issues as well.
When i make or receive calls, i can't hear anything from the receiver, unless i plug in my earpiece.
Also, my screen goes completely black and does not respond even when i press the power button, nor when i connect it to the charger. Any workarounds for this?
