Hi, I have found a problem when my phone is connected to my car's bluetooth handsfree system and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions because I've tried everything I can think of.
Basically, when I initiate a call from the car the phone screen will light up and display the wake screen but the phone will not wake up and so the call is not made. If I manually wake the phone up first and then initiate the call from the car the call is made with no problems. Rather more bizarrely, if I initiate a call the screen lights up but the phone does not wake up or make the call. However, If I then immediately make the call again while the wake screen is still displayed then the call is made and everything is good.
It is almost as though it is not waiting long enough for the phone to fully wake up before giving up. My previous phone which was a Jiayu S3 did not have this problem.
Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on this.

I've only recently got my sdaII and all was fine with it to start with but its developing a very annoying problem. When someone calls the phone rings fine but when i answer the call the volume drops to virtually nil and its very difficult to hear the caller. If i call someone its fine for a bit then again drops the call volume (the volume adjuster shows that it should be up about 3/4 of max).If i use my bluetooth headset everything works fine. I've hard reset the phone but its not cured the problem. Has anyone experienced this or got any ideas on how to cure the problem? Is the speaker on its last legs?
I use bluetooth streaming in my car and whenever I change track or pause/resume music, my phone screen wakes. This is really annoying as it is a waste of battery (my main power sucker) - the whole point is that I don't have to touch/look at my phone while driving. I cannot understand why this would be done and surely people who use bluetooth headphones know what I mean.
Anyone have any idea on a fix, I cannot find a useful reply anywhere!
In case anyone cares, I have found a way that is better than nothing using the app 'tasker'. If my phone is connected to my head unit and the screen wakes up without sensing anything on the proximity sensor - the phone immediately re-locks. This means it will only flash on and I don't have to manually lock it again (or wait for my long timeout). If I want to use my phone I just put a finger over the sensor when waking the screen and it allows me to unlock like normal.
BT wakes display
On my Z3 Compact, after phone connects to car bluetooth /BMW professional/ it everytine turn on screen. My previous phone Z1Compact did not. After connected to car, the screen remained off. Is there any fix for this waking screen caused by connection between phone and car BT? Thank You for any answer
I just purchased a bluetooth headset (LG HBS700) and now Im having a stuttering issue when notifications come in.
I never had this until i connected the headset. If the screen is on the notification is fine and plays normally, but when i have the phone in my pocket with the screen off it happens. I have tried switching notification tones as well as switching to a different ROM and the problem is still there.
Has anyone else had this happen to them or know of a way to fix it?
I had a similar issue with TuneIn radio. Listening over WiFi was fine while the screen was on, but the music stuttered when the screen shut off. Seems like it limits the amount of power received to that particular radio but not sure. I don't have my phone on me but are there any power saving features for Bluetooth that can be altered?
Thanks for the response. I think you misunderstood tho.
Its NOT the sound coming from the bluetooth device that is the problem, it is the notifications coming from the phone. ie when i get a txt msg or an email, when my phone is alerting me.
Hello,
I'm new to this site so apologies if I'm in the wrong place or this has been raised before but I've googled with no joy..
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300 uk unlocked.
For the last month or so m having problems with Bluetooth devices and loudspeaker (seems to be connected)
I can connect to bluetooth devices fine, beats wireless and vw car bluetooth.
It connects automatically and I can talk and hear fine, after a while the sounds drops and it goes echo like, I can't hear the other person at all but on the phone the green button Nader headset is still lit up and the connection is still made. I have to press the headset button to in light it/disconnect it and then re press to connect / light the button back up. I then can hear the person again but it does this continuously throughout the call. Listening to music via Bluetooth is fine and this problem doesnt arise.
When using loudspeaker it's the same, will go to phone (button lit) and I have to press it again twice to disconnect and reconnect.
Can't find out why this happens. I've done a factory reset and it allowed me a few days of it working fine but then goes back to normal.
Anyone else having this problem? I've read a lot about it disconnecting and having to repair but mine seems to stay connected but just drop the sound?
Cheers

same issues
I am having the same issues... did you find the solution?
Same issues too.. i thought it was my ford bluetooth (POS!)
From time to time it just happens. I hear nothing from the other side while they hear me ok and turning the speaker mode on also doesn't help. Only restart could fix it. It's not something new that happened during the latest update - it was like that for a long time. Is this some known bug and is there a fix?
Thanks
got the same problem now. did you find any fix?
Hi, I'm having the same issues as well.
When i make or receive calls, i can't hear anything from the receiver, unless i plug in my earpiece.
Also, my screen goes completely black and does not respond even when i press the power button, nor when i connect it to the charger. Any workarounds for this?
