Hi everyone, I am having troubles with my device. I upgraded to wm 6 and am having dramas with it, I have tried reinstalling the wm6 rom and even the original wm5 rom and get an error. I am running vista and have no luck with xp either.
I can connect via active sync no dramas and the mobile device screen even changes to the 4 colours like it is about to upgrade.
I get error 260 updator error.
I need help downgrading to wm 5.

Check THIS GUIDE . Look for downgrade guide section. Pay special attention to Vista instructions and all the version information. .NET Framework, ActiveSync, etc... Versions are important.

I’m trying to upgrade my radio rom, and later i would like to try the new wm6 vanilla. But every time my phone goes in to boot loader mode, witch is ver 1.04 it writes usb in display, but the rom upgrade software can´t find the phone. How do I solve this ?
Im using vista ultima, and the new sync center for mobile devices
Use XP. There's no solution.

hello,
with this guide i have managed to downgrade my prophet to the NVID rom.
the flashed worked well and now i am at the "tap the screen" step from the newly flashed aku2.2 rom.
now i should install the wm6 rom and i downloaded the PDAVIET 4.0.0.0.3.
i started the "upgrade_rom.bat" and i get several error messages, about that the software is not compatible with a 64bit windows.
what can i do now? can't i flash an other rom on my device? please help me.
edit: it seems like the sleep4.exe is not compatible
now i tried it with windows xp via vmware:
it updates to the aku2.2 until the point, where i should stick for a while with 80%. then it displays an error message and i tried it again. same thing.
so i flashed the nvid aku2.2 over vista x64 without a problem, i disconnected the device, open up vmware with windows xp and connected the device here.
i started the upgrade_rom.bat from pdaviet 4.0.0.0.3 and it clears and copys the new extension rom.
the it will write the crossbow OS rom, then the following error appears:
could not update itsutils.dll to the current version.
then the flashing stops. what can i do now?

now i tried it with active sync 4.2 (not 4.5) but i still can't even flash the nvid rom on my xp. at 80% it gives me the error 302
I have a M600 IPL 2.10.0001, SPL 2.10.0001 Current Rom 2.10.1.22WWE, Radio Ver 02.07.20 Protocol 413.1.03. I am trying to update my OS to WM6 using the roms i have found within this amazing site but with no joy, so far all i have been able to do is flash rome back to the original rom of device but without all the M600 spec (like the on screen orientation etc) but i have however been able to add these via cab files which i downloaded with the orange shipping rom but again i was unable to flash the rom also included via the usb update utility as i had done earlier - it seems like every time i try and flash a new rom using either the old or new way as followed exactly i get an error message on my pc and my m600 reverts back to bootloader mode (pretty 3 colour screen) Please please any ideas welcome

Just to let you know i have even tried locating ruu file and running as admin as i have had suggested from one of our american friends and still no joy - i will save files to disk and load from another machine with xP for now but if any news breaks re vista please keep me posted - cheers
i had the same problem, so i installed a virtual machine of XP and it works fine
I have tried and downloaded WM6.0 from the official dopod website and I found it to be slower and more complicated to use than the original WM5.0 which came with the system.
Would any of the ROM WM6.0 here be any faster and stable? My prioirty concern is Speed and Stability. Any advice which ROM I should try?

Get inline for PK 4.0. You can join the other addicts including myself that are eagerly awaiting the release of this ROM. Untill then I think you will find PK 3.0 to be the best thing since sliced bread for your wonderful PDA.

Hi
You should be load the original rom first then unlock your device with Olipro's unlocker then load PK 3 rom. Without unlocking the CID you can't load just any other roms. Find the rom it came with it or the updated rom from HTC.

Also read the unlocker thread before you update.

Ok I am experiencing difficulty pairing syncing by Bluetooth. I already went to the registry to delete
hlkm/software/microsoft/bluetooth/activesync and still the problem not resolved.
Any solution?

See here how to activesync via bluetooth .(But remember not to use bluetooth for flashing the roms)

SOLVED OUT THAT ISSUE, BUT FACED A NEW ONE.
I M STUCK AT BOOTLOADER SCREEN WHILE TRYING TO INSTALL WM6.5.
BUT I FIGURED OUT A WAY BY USING MAC AND MTTY FORMAT.
BUT I DONT KNOW HOW TO GET MY MAC ADDRESS WHILE THE ONLY THING I CAN ACCESS IS THE BOOTLOADER SCREEN?
IS IT PRINTED SOMEWHERE ON MY DEVICE OR MANUALS OR IS THERE ANY SPECIFIC COMMAND FOR THAT?
