tanX for your good help

If you can not take the unit apart to dry it out then open the battery door and remove the SIM and mini-SD if present. I am assuming the battery is still out. Then use a fan to blow air in through the open door. Use tape to hold it open if you need to. Let the fan run for a day or two before you try to re-install the battery. You may be able to do further disassembly before using the fan to dry it out. I think you may be able to remove the plastic part at the top (where the camera is). Just do as much disassembly as you can so it will dry out better.
Then, take a deep breath, say a prayer or do whatever you do for good luck, install the battery and try to turn it on. May the Force be with you...

I once took my Dopod U1000 for a snow trip and it was in my cloth-based belt pouch throughout the 5 hour heavy blizzard and it was dripping with water when I returned to the restaurant. I turned it on and used it without any problem. The next day this happened again, and still I was able to use it without any problem. For the next three days I wore the belt pouch inside my ski suit rather than outside.
I hope you are as lucky as me.

Solution
I have a good idea. Why don't you wash the unit with detergent. Detergent can always remove coffee. However if you have a dish washer you can place your unit inside it. One important thing to note is that don't use hot water as it might melt the screen.
If the unit does not startup it usually means its wet inside. What you do is put it in the oven for half an hour. After cooking it, you may even end up with a newer rom. If all else fails, keep trying. It will work one day.

I had the same prob with Eten M500 i put it in a bucket of rice for a week. I took all piecis a part and now its working great! take out the battery and the miniSD card adn then put them all + the device in a bucket of rice. I hope it works

Dry rice should work. Or kitty litter... unused.

Nope. I guess i have nice friends
Also, a few of my mates own iphones so they wouldn't dare lol
yeah they do sometimes really mostly when i first got it but i had some nice rebuttals and rips for the iphone
I have the body glove case for mine and whenever I pull it out people at my high school are like damn! that's one giant brick! I just laugh at their cracked and chipped screens.
I've got the 2300 battery/case and random people ask me if my iphone was worth the money, lol.
So, no....I don't get made fun of for it, except for people calling me a tool for buying Apple products, lol.
Also, random people are stupid.
I actually like the feel of the phone better with the large battery. I've accidentally dropped the stock G1 a few times because it was clumsy to hold, haven't had that problem with the extended case.
Everyone is used to these smaller devices now, Nexus One, IPhoney, etc, etc.
Thats why there is "phonism", which translates into phone racism. hahaha
Forget that I want a full qwerty physical keyboard.
All touchscreen phones are complete garbage.
... maybe in 2020 they will perfect it hopefully.

We can safely expect our mobile devices in 2020 to be running smaller 10NM dual i-7 processors with 2GB of DDR3 RAM, Nvidea 9800GT technology, HD holographic display, 14MP camera, stereo speakers with small built in subwoofer, AN ACTUAL 3.5MM out, full keyboard [of course], HDMI out [already around on mobile phones...] and perhaps a small built in toaster oven.
Oh, and at a length and width of perhaps an i-Phone and a thickness of a couple credit cards stacked onto each other.
yeah my friend gives me **** when i have the extended battery on but he is still carrying a moto razor.

Mine worked fine and a lot of people laughed before i showed them my phone and how i could listen to Pandora ALLL day at work and still have battery lleft while their blackberrys only worked for 1hr max. jaja. but then again, the cases i got were so weak, i went through like 4 extended batt covers in weeks of using it, then i just started using superglue, tape, and not putting it in my pocket. By the way... anyone want to buy these 3 extra ext batteries i got laying around? lmao jk
I have an N1 now but I have 2400 battery for my G1 that I use ever so often. It's funny how people react to it, they are like WTF is that. Once they realize how much I use my phone (the way it was intended) they understand because they have battery issues and I don't; well with the g1 with the N1 that's a different story.
Also I have my g1 taped up to stop the creeking and the fake back I got for extended battery broke so its tapped as well so it looks like a hobo brick

What pwrs ur devices when ur on the go????

Energizer partnered up with Xpal Power and came out with a fantastic product that I have been using for almost a year.
As a matter of fact I recently went and bought a second one because my HTC Amaze
needs a lot of energy. And I do a lot of things on my phone. You can recharge this device
up to 500 times. AND it powers 2 devices at the same time. So now you can charge 2 phones,
a phone and an iPod, or whatever at the same time.
The price of this product is around $60 and IS WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!
If the price is too steep for you, then check out their other model that charges only 1 device at a time.
I got mine from Target.
This device is called the Energizer Energi To Go XP4001.
More details can be viewed HERE.
What kind of person would I be if I didn't post pictures..... so here they are....
1. Fits in the palm of my hand just right. In a guy's hands it might be a bit smaller.

Duracell makes one thats a little bigger than an ipod nano was $20 at the grocery store of all places It only has one usb. & only a 1200mah battery but it takes mine from dead to %60 so if you just need a boost mid day its perfect. Fits in that tiny second pocket in the front pocket of you jeans. That thing she had was a beast and i dont have a man purse & you can just use the stock cable no little attachments to loose. Do-Do brown my girlfriend looked over my shoulder & was like wtf is on her nails. Lol, i said either a very unique color or a bad bathroom experience. Ok sorry im done that wasn't very nice, it was just funny. To each his or i mean her own.

I'm tired of stock pink nails thank you very much.... I like to think outside the box at times.... and I want my charger to take me from 0-100 ... not to 60.... and my phone can charge 0-100 ... 2 times.... that's what I like about the charger.... and I got 2 of them chargers.... so I can charge my phone 4 times without needing a plug.... great for road trips or charging in my back pocket when I'm at work standing on my feet ..... .... and those are NOT DOO-DOO brown either...
I have a D30 power case from tmo, gives me back like 80% of the actual battery power since it's a 1500mah battery, fits snugly on the phone, so it isn't really out of place while charging and well I get to do whatever it was I was doing while getting a charge, cost about 60 too I think, I got mine for free with the phone though, lol.

I'm wary of these devices as to how much CURRENT they provide for charging. Have you measured the charging current?
I was interested in reviewing the Anker Astro3 which appears to give a typical phone 4-5 charge cycles, but the distributor turned me down. Perhaps someone here with deep pockets will report on one....
P.S. Nice avatar, Mz. What kinda charge does THAT handheld take?

Honestly Chomejob I can sit here and make up crap all day.... but in reality I honestly do not know. All I know is that it charges 2 devices at the same time. I charge 1 at a time simply because I only bought it for 1 device. So I get 2 charges out of 1 battery for my phone. And I have 2 of these batteries. So technically I get 4 charges.
Thank you for the compliment. That pic is from 2 years ago. I just love the gun!

Just pulled my phone out of the washer...

My girlfriend decided to wash the sheets.. white note, hard to see on white sheets. My phone popped in my head, so i looked around.. it wasn't in the 3-4 places it normally was, and i remembered it was on the bed. We ran to the washer, waited for the lock to disengage from our front-loader, and bam.. soft white glow from the back. The screen was still on, so I immediately removed the soft case, cover and battery. Pulled the sim, sd card, even the stylus. It's now in a ziplock bag full of rice, sitting on a chair in the sun. Any thing im missing? Should i leave it for 24 hours? Longer?

Don't take this the wrong way, but I love reading stories like this. Not because I enjoy the misfortune of others (well not in this case atleast), but because it reassures me that I'm not the only one that **** like this happens to.
As for what your doing, it's a great start. Make sure you flip it around some to move the water around. I simply can not believe that the screen was on, that's amazing. Expect some sensor damage, but you may have made it to it in time to save it. I've dropped phone into ponds and managed to save them, yet had ones suffer permenant damage from a glass of water spilling on them. It's a game of chance. If your feeling really froggy, you can open it up. Then let dry or even wipe down with alcohol to get any excess water out. Regardless of the outcome, sounds like the GF owes you some serious "compensation" for the emotional stress and turmoil she has put you through.
Edit: if you decide to open, it'll require a very small philips screwdriver, one small enough for glasses screws. Canned air/compressor helps remove excess water too.

Try leaving it for least 48hrs. Then examine it to make sure there isn't moisture. When you feel its completely dried..turn on the phone. Make sure to clean the battery terminals.

Rice is much much much too large to actually be effective as a Desiccant in most cases such as this.
The best course of action is to immediately disassemble the phone, take some rubbing alcohol and a q-tip over the entire board, the alcohol will mix with the water causing it to evaporate significantly faster.
Then leave it on top of an upward pointing fan over night.
IDK if it would help...I took my kids phone when he jump in our pool...:crying:
did the rice thinng for a day...
since it gets like 109-115 in our area in the summer (SouthWest AZ)...I put it in the dash of my truck mid day, face down battery out ...for 2-3 hours...it dry out completely, almost melted...LOL.... but it still worked!
It was not a note but still a phone, so IDK maybe it will help...

It actually works fine. He placed in bag and left in a warm location. This causes the humidity to be absorbed by the rice. I've used this trick many times with rather good results.

The grains are still too large to get inside the Damn case...if you want to be 100% sure it's dry you have to take it apart, and at that point rice is slow as hell compared to alcohol..
It may work, but it's not the best way...And it could still leave moisture in there that could cause issues in the future.
Just like walking 100 miles will get you to your destination...but i bet you would prefer to to have a better form of transportation.
LOL, my bad. I assumed that when you said it wouldnt work that you meant it wouldnt work, not that it would work but not the best possible method. Just like when most say it will work, we didn't realize we meant that it would "get inside the Damn case". Like I said, my bad. Didn't mean to offend you.
Lol sorry if i sounded upset...
I repair drive thru systems for a living..Just had this exact conversation with a customer that dropped a headset in the dishwasher, who just kept insisting that rice would be perfect.

What a tool...
NP, my point is its better then nothing. And by "steaming" it in a closed container it helps keep it in a very dry envoronment. I actually have a parts cooker in my garage used for when something can't be opened and also serves as a baking oven for refinishing firearms (wife got sick of me using her oven)
Yes alcohol is better if you know what your doing with it (suggested it myself earlier), but i've seen people do damage by soaking things in it. I started my career years ago as a hardware tech and have used rice and silica many many times as a last option.

So I dropped my LG G2 in the toilet yesterday..

It was clean water, this was prior to any business. So of course I quickly took it out, must of been in there for 2 seconds. Took the case off, starting wiping it and then ran it under the power hands dryer(office bathroom) for a few rounds. It looked real dry and seemed perfectly functional. I decided to reboot it and then I got the "Firmware upgrade" screen. It didnt just reboot, so back to the dryer it went. I finally rebooted into recovery and then rebooted back into cm11.
What are the chances the device will corrode and eventually fail. I mean it must have dried pretty quick or not much must have gotten wet for it to keep functioning. I did have a case on it when it fell which most likely somewhat helped. Just not sure, too good to be true. LG G2 is water proof!!
Leave it in a bag of rice for a day that will help suck out water to be sure

Yes I was so lucky toilet was clean. I just walked in the stall and was just moving it to my shirt pocket before the business so that I could reach it comfortably and ploosshh.....sorry if this was too much info :good:
Usually the mistake people do in situations like this is to put on the phone to see if it works. It's usually then it breaks. Just leave it in a bag of rice in the oven for a day at least.

Buying desiccant is a way that you can do it without using rice. but most people seem to believe that rice works just as well. I have no idea I've never really compared the two before, but take your phone and put it in a ziploc bag, then put uncooked white rice in and seal it.
If your mom ever had you put a piece of bread into a bag with stale cookies to make them soft again this is the same concept except backwards.
I would recommend against putting it in the oven. Last thing you need is someone preheating it and forgetting what's in there. a windowsill is fine.
also turn the phone off and keep it off for at least 24 hours.
Glad your device still works, but in no way was that public toilet clean. Even if the water was fresh. Just sayin'.

Its sort of not public. Its a private office building, part of a hospital. Its as clean as its gonna get. Either way, its a good way to test my immune system
Just don't eat the rice afterwards.
My wife actually washed my iPod touch in the washing machine. I just put it on the dashboard of the car for a day and it was just fine.

I can understand you dropping it in the toilet because this phone is the sh*t!!!!!
Rice it out, good luck.
Water isn't really the problem, it's the stuff in the water that is conductive. If you could put the device in distilled water, nothing would ever happen. What typically happens is the device gets wet, the water evaporates and leaves behind crud that bridges circuits and causes problems. Should I ever submerge a device my plan is to re-submerge it in some isopropyl alcohol to displace the water as soon as I can. While rice and other things will coax the moisture out of the device, the crud will still be left behind. Hopefully it deposits the crud in a non-critical location.

For future reference if this ever happens to you again, do not power the device back on. Quickly dry it like you did pull the battery asap and put the phone in rice for twenty four hours as other users suggested. Most device failures happen when the power hits the wet electronics.
The oven thing isn't ment with the oven on, it's just a really dry place.

What's the point when the phone charges to 50% in 30 mins?

When your phone is almost dead and there is no plug or you are traveling and need to charge it. Simple.

This was my thought, if this case is more expensive than a Car Dash charge it'd be pointless for me! The battery life on this phone is just insane as it is, got 6hours SOT yesterday, I've NEVER gotten anything past 3/3.5 hours before.

They just look so ugly too, to put a huge bulky case on a phone which has gotten very nice and slim...eek!
What they didn't tell you is that their plan is NOT to make a case for the OP5.
Just say'n.

People that are out all day and evening but also want to use their phone normally. You might go to work, head out that evening, have a few drinks, crash at a friends and go direct to work. They have their uses, people that go camping also get good use from them as well as battery packs.
I have the one for the 3/t. It's huge but it's useful for long flights. The fact it works as a power bank was also useful to charge my buddy's phone too.

I wonder if this actually is going happen? Yeah the battery last long enough but who would complain about more juice?
I had one for my S7 Edge. Problem with this case is USB OTG function won't work anymore. Have to remove the case.

We are waiting for this battery case... i'm waiting for like 2/3 months i guess, when you said the same thing to me on twitter... Do something like iphone 7, with 5k mAh, and slim.
In 2 days after the announce of iphone you guys put the case to sell... Come on, more you guys delay, less we'll buy it!
And please, try to sell using Ebay, amazon can't delivery to Brazil anymore e_e.
*Waiting for the case*

Anyone know when this first became available to buy? Anyone have one? I hated the one for the nexus 5 with a passion, but I'll give it another shot for the rare times i need it.

Less than 2 weeks ago. Have been waiting for someone to post reviews and videos. Please do post as many photos as possible. Want to know if headphone jack requires an extra dongle for reach. If that's the case it's not for me
Just so you know, it costs $59.99 on Zerolemon's site with a 10% disc if you use THANKYOU10. I dont know how much you paid for it. It's not a referral code or anything.

so i use that itty bitty powerpack on my keychain or the big ass powerbank in my backpack
Okay got it today. Here are as many angles as I could think of that would be helpful and I compared the size with a nexus 4 and an iPhone 5s. I've tried 3 different headphones and all connected without any problems (the slot is huge). However, i wouldn't use one with an L shaped connection. It was very difficult to remove. Straight ones were no problem. The speaker grills are kind of nice. Holding the phone in landscape doesn't block the sound this way. Although I'm not sure how long you could hold it. It's heavy as hell! I can't comment on battery life of course anytime soon, but if there's any other questions let me know.

Well give it like a week trail , and see how it goes, if it works out well for you , though i'm wondering if it gets warm , etc if it's in your pocket while giving it charging power and so on. There has to be some kind of that going on to keep it up to 100%, otherwise if it works out well for you, i will buy it as well.
