The word Kaiser and Niki discripe a Device Type! The different are very low. Its more like, some Driver are different. I think, its possible to create a Rom, they will work on both Device! This make it easy for the First Niki Rom.
But the Base of the niki kitchen are files from touch dual?
So i can make my own "bistorage" rom without the need of more files?
And there is no need to alter something for 16 oder 20 key version?

well actually I know that niki and kaiser are names of two different devices..I was just wondering which were the differences between the two Roms..
anyway I see that they are almost the same, but the main thing is to make easier to cook new roms for the niki..and this is great

if want make bigstorage we need edit xip and some sector in IMGFS.I working in it and will have answer right for all as soon
for bigstorage ... i must talk with a core developer. i think, if bigstorage works on kaiser ... it will work on niki too! both device are not realy different in the main component like imgfs/rom.
i will test this option in the next hours ...
about 16key version and 20key version ... this isnt a problem! a guy have test on his 16 key niki the 20 key asia rom and it works! i think both keyboarddrivers are included!
Ok, seem like I (Noobinoob) didn't get the point of "Bigstorage".
I always thought this simply means removing all unnecessary things
to get a big storage
After searching for Nigstorage i found thousands of threads with ROMs,
but no explanation.
Will there be no more free space i u simplay remove things?
Is there more to do? Or is Bigstorage simply a trick to use even more Space thats normaly reserved for something else?

Bigstorage means to change the Partition Size of the Rom. The Rom havent any space to store future updates via Windows Mobile Update Service. This save Space! If you clean up your rom ... dump useless option / Programm / WinCEServices ... you can create more space with the bigstorage mod!
The first Roms from Prophet, are without bigstorage. If you add Programms over the Original Rom Size, the Tools cant handle it and write errors. Bigstorage can resize for optimum space.
i doesnt know, if its correct ... i am not a rom modder but i know a lot about it.
Ok, so it would be useless if i make myself a clean ROM if i can't resize the

yes.U can do it.kitchen Auto make bigstorage but it not real bigstorage.We have other way get bigstorage real.
But still working in it.

Finaly I've done it! This is a beta version of rom. We need to test this base rom and catch and solve some problems. And after that i can make another version of rom - touch style with new oem soft etc or based on new wm 6.1 version.
So don't worry about rom build version or coredll version all will be update in future release.
The most important thing that we have wm 6.0 rom now for our gene device and that's great!
Coz i have no gene device ..i can only say that testers said that build is stable with 28 mb of free ram on 6 mb paging pool. Itryed to remove more garbage such as SQM/Windows update/btftp etc.. U can easily install it as cab files. So this rom seems to be light version
But before upgrading u must:
1) Update your gene with this spl by folowing nirvana's instruction - > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=360357
2) And only then u will be able to update your device with my custom rom
3) If u don't like wm6 u can easily downgrade to wm5 rom by flashing original wm5 firmware

Im also not in the best position to give advice. I ran the HSPL according to the instructions,got the white screen then ran the RUU after I copied the nbh into the same folder. I assumed that it would work.

I got it to work too, seems I had to press the camera and record button before I selected Olipro.nb. This calls for a donation.
This ROM is bloody quick, oodles of memory left after installing my favourite 23 apps (25MB). Cant find PocketMSN though.

As i said before..this rom is light...So there are no Pocket MSn/Trascriber/AAutoupdate etc. U can install Windows Live Mesanger from cab.

harman_21, very first ting is to take backup of your Gene. Then you need to update your Gene with nirvana's SPL, follow this link, download the zip file attached and unzip it. Follow nirvan's instructions to udpate the SPL.
Once you have updated Gene, copy the .nb file [provided by mun_rus] in the same folder where you extracted RUU_Gene_HSPL.zip and execute ROMUpdateUtility.exe, make sure that your handset is connected through USB to your system. It'll take around 15 - 20 mins for new ROM to get updated.
All ROM updates are at your own risks.

Cann't install certificate file (*.cer)
I need synchronization with Exchange server and I need to install certificates (*.cer) for this, but I cann't... On WM 5 it worked and now I have "The certificate was not successfully added. Please restart the device and try again." No one method offered for WM6 on forums doesn't help...
I cooked a rom. Basically, it's a PTG OEM Rom, but with drivers from Dopod s600. Used same method that xangma. However, I'm testing the rom now, but the system seems to be the same, no improves. Maybe I'm wrong, but there's no software benchmarks can I do to display driver?
Other question, there's any way to improve system performance? I've installed advanced configuration, but file cache was already enabled.

I've flashed the Rom minutes ago so I've only Resco explorer and Adv. Config. installed. I'm confused because, when I use Mary, Tom, and Shark Rom's, they come with a lot of programs and are faster than mine now, so I always thought that the speed was conected with the video driver.
So... how can I put my rom working like yours?
May be you just made something wrong with cooking?

No... The only thing I've done was replace all touch.dll folder. I wanted to have two roms exactly the same but with differente video drivers so I can compare... But I will do some tests now. I've downloaded this software and it's running right now.

Can you cook rom, that contains build from kaiser, radio from kaiser, and .dll from kaiser (DDI.DLL, DISPTOOLS.DLL and another that can be compatible with niki)?

i forgot one thing... there is several programs from original touchflo
They made by HTC (calls HTC_program, htc_settings, they launch from large start menu) they change original programs and settings window to another one (They look absolutely same, but they isn't same). In result it works more faster.
For example - touchscrolling in program's applet. Without this programm, scrolling so laggy (Thanks HTC!), but by using it, scrolling works without any freezes/stops/lags
i cooked a rom for the p6500
this .NBH contains the radio and os and its WM 6.1
to use it make sure you have hard SPL'ed your device before you flash this rom...so you can always go back to the offical ROM
anyway this rom has lots of stuff taken out like
HTC Home, BT Explorer, BT Sap, Adpbe Reader LE , HTC Audio Manager, Htc Task manager, Smart Dialing, Htc Comm Manager... and a few more thingstweaked here and there...
i think its better to build you system from the bare amount and then take a backup of it with SKTools or SPB Backup. so this is like a bare rom with a few things changed....

yup it works.. anyway in settings you might notice some things are gone..
Domain Enroll, Feedback, ..etc. well they are just hidden.. it in the regisrty HKLM/Control Panel/... and whichever one i thought was useless i hid...
just in case you want to use one just delete the entry 'hide=1' for whichever
also file explorer is replaced altogethe and calculator for better one.
dont try to dump and edit this rom because i removed all the .rgu entries just before cooking
anyway if you cooking i think your better off starting with an offical rom..
Also in this ROM, NAND Flash Recovery is fixed and will work...
unlike the offical rom ( just goes to show the experts are human and officals Roms contain mistakes)

And popgo let me know if you find any glitches... and ill fix them if i can or let you know if i cant or if its WM6.1 at fault

no i dont use touch flo so i dont know much about it..in fact i have never used it.
but i know HTC album works great on sedna, have it open in portrait mode by tweaking start up entry , add '-mode:camera -type:image' with new file explorer (GS Finder) to tits shortcut in start menu folder.
anyway i dont think i like wm6.1... think is a bit buggy and i think wm6 is better(less buggy) so im gonna do the same idea for wm6 and when i do ill post it here
TCPMP wont work without serious tweaking in 6.1 but AFAIK it works no probs wm6.
im not sure bout which version is most buggy but i think its wm6.1... ill do a version, post it and use it myself.
ive been using this one for bout 1 month and before that wm6 for bout 2 weeks and i think im right in my suspicion bout 6.1 been a bit of a pain compared to 6.0 ...

The file "wince.nls" in "windows" cannot be deleted (using Total Commander). "Regret"!!!!! I'd better switch back to COM 2 rom. THX!!

Actually, the kitchen which I'm using is based on the one shared by bajok!. But I recognised some fatal bugs(which some of you may also have encountered) since I used this kitchen. So I'm now trying to port all my work to my old kitchen, in order to test whether the bugs are caused by the new one or not.
I'm currently porting 21057...

Anyway, where in the registry do I select UK keyboard as default keyboard layout on first boot? At the moment it always defaults to US keyboard layout.
Where in registry do I choose UK language as default language and region upon first boot? I have chosen 0409 as default but it keeps using US region upon first boot.
Finally how do I stop preinstalled oem apps from reinstalling themselves after a reboot even though I uninstall them? I presume this is a registry tweak too. Many thanks.

Dump European stock 2.05 and take Language boot ID package from it (0809 default) or at least - have a look at the rgu file of it.

Dump another source rom. What did you expect dumping rom containing this bug? And - no - it's not a registry tweak! Sorrowfully.
So as you see - all answers to your questions are "dump proper source".
Normally you should dump stocks and create your kitchen. Than you develop the kitchen by adding unlocks and other goodies. Dumping someone's custom is a good step to start but later on - it's a dead end. You will continue to get bugs from other chiefs without having a possibility to find and fix them.

You just cooked a bad rom That's the problem.
Continue trying. No one can tell why you got cyclic reboot. It's too common.

i didn'nt change any setting or folder but it reboots .

tboy2000, it's absolutely useless to give any suggestions to the guy - we don't know even his device. According to his "Nextgen" - he is trying to cook for first gen device. That means - it has nothing to do with radio. First gen device roms are not dependable upon radio version.
His cyclic reboot on HTC logo can mean everything - beginning from non-booting XIP and finishing mistakes in OEM part. The only solution for him - continue trying. And playing with settings of OsBuilder. As I already told - dumping customs - absolutely wrong way.
The source of XIP, SLDR and OEM must be STOCK rom!

The best way - to write a PM to ultrashot asking him to give you unlock packages set. One package should be placed in XIP, other packages to EXT or OEM or wherever.
