AT&T 8525 and voice digit dialing - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam Software Upgradin

I have the AT&T 8525 and cannot get it to do voice digit dialing. I am using Voice Command 1.6 I can say call (any one in my contact list) and there is no problem. Any other command and nothing happens. I tried with BT (Plantronics Voyage 510) and without. I am currently using the vp3g 3.62.3 ROM. It didn't work with the AT&T rom (WM 6 or 5) either. The Cyberon system has digit dialing disabled in the US. Is there a setting (other than listed in the WIKI) or another program that will allow me to do the voice digit dialing?
I have heard from other users that digit dialing is working for them.
Any solutions out there?
Thanks

Could not use gsm service code (call forward) from contact

XDA (Siemens SX56) would complain service code must enter from the keypad. We have serveral call forward numbers in the contact list that we use regularly. Every time, we try to use MS Voice Command to dial those call forwarding number, it would complain and would not proceed with the action. Any ideas? work around would be greatly appreciate!
Example, for Rogers AT&T in Canada, *21*<phone number>#, will call divert (forward) the mobile number to another number.
I have the same problem on Rogers ATT with XDA II... not sure what causing it. Anybody? Any ideas?
This is a Microsoft issue. They are aware of it, and it is on their list of things to fix. Just not that high up the list.
Speed dial seems to the only way to do gsm service code
Speed dial is the only way to get call forwarding working. However, MS Voice Command does not seem to allow speed dial a number.
Does Speed-Dial work for you?
Like others, if I store a *21* sequence as a contact, and then use this to establish a speed-dial entry, I get the "must use phone keypad" error message.
I haven't been able to directly store a number as a speed-dial. "New" only lets me select something from contacts, and "Edit" only lets me change the name and speed-dial location, not the dial string.
Have you actually been able to store a *21* string directly into a speed-dial and have it work properly? If so, can you tell me how?
Thanks

M1000 voice dial

Does anyone know how to enable this on an Orange SPV M1000 because it's possible on an XDA 2 with o2.
This is the only limitation I can see to an otherwise brilliant phone.
I forgot to log in before posting this topic!
Hello there fellow M1000 user.
You can use voice dial but you have to use a third party app such as MS Voice Commander. This works pretty well with the M1000, i tried it before i updated to WM2003SE.
Sorry, no xda's have voice dial as standard
MS Voice command was only release in the USA so you could try something like emule to find it. Drop me a PM if you have any problems
i have bought voice command. Bought it through ebay but wanted to test it first b4 i bought it.
since it is not available as trial, had to "obtain" it first.
As I understand it, you can voice dial on the M1000/XDAII/... using some third party software (such as voice commander although I've not used this) but you cannot combine this with a bluetooth headset for use in the car. i.e. you can't use a bluetooth headset for voice dialling with the M1000.
I'm not sure what ROM version I have on my M1000, it's more than a few months old now, but this is the only thing really lacking on the device (and battery life!)

Has anyone else seen this?

After I upgraded my ROM to DCD's latest, whenever I try dialing from contacts or speed dial, I get this error message:
"Press END key to stop intercept tone" and it never dials.
Anyone got any ideas?
which carrier?
never seen or heard of that, did you install the right rom for your carrier?
The carrier is Verizon and I chose Verizon from the kitchen when I created the ROM. I have made ROM's before on my 6700.
if I dial the number manually, it works fine. It's only when I dial from contacts or speed dial.
Strange.
Confirmed
I'm running the NexVision Hybrid ROM (based on DCD's ROM) on my XV6800, and I can reproduce this issue at will. I've narrowed it down (at least in my case) to the international dialing prefix being used. That is, if a contact's number is stored as (e.g.) "+1 212 555 1212", the dialer chokes on the "+1" - I hear a short beep, and then (usually) see the "Press END key to stop intercept tone" message.
If I edit the contact's phone number to remove the "+1" (or just the "+", leaving the 1), it dials just fine. Basically, it seems to always come down to the "+"...
The problem (for me, at least), is that I have a "+" prefix for most of my (many) contacts. Plus, most of the numbers in my employer's Company Directory (which I can search and dial from my device) have this prefix. I've had a few people ask me what the "+" prefix is all about, thinking the mistake is on my side for using some alien format for the country code prefix. Just to head that off, I'll point out that this format comes from the ITU-T Recommendation E.123, "Notation for national and international telephone numbers, e-mail addresses and Web addresses". So there. Plus, it's worked on every other phone I've ever used, including this one - at least I did, until I upgraded the ROM. ]
BetaMan, does this apply to your case at all? Either way, does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,

Dialing issue with DCDs (Bug?)

So I have the 3.2, which is pretty recent I suppose. I have the P4000 with Telus.
I noticed that when I want to dial 611 (to reach telus) it actually dials a previous number in my history that starts with a 61..
I'm in Ottawa so our area code is 613.
I believe this is a bug as I used to be able to call out 611 from the OEM rom.
Thanks guys

Sounds like Smart Dialing is interfering. Try disabling Smart Dialing and see if you can get through. I have to do that occasionally for a similar situation. You can also try other dialers.
Menu -> Smart Dialing Options -> Enable Smart Dialing
Happens to me all the time when accessing EPST; it's because of the smart dialing. When you dial the number, just press up on the navigation pad, then send the number. That will resign the number to what you are actually dialing, as opposed to the number that smart dialing assumes you are trying to input.
Thanks dudes
Get the etphone.dll for smartdialing and a new dialer. Works better than the stock smartdialer and never dials the wrong number.

[Q] Where can I find an Assisted Dialing App for Android 5.0.1?

I recently purchased an LG L22C running Android 5.0.1. Unfortunately, it does not have assisted dialing installed which would enable me to dial plus coded numbers (example: +1 xxx-yyy-zzzz for US numbers, +44 xxxxxxxxxx for UK numbers, etc.).
I have all my phone numbers (hundreds!) stored in the plus coded format. When I dial the +1 coded numbers (I am in the U.S.), the number does not dial out. My carrier does not recognize the plus coded numbers. I am able to dial only 10-digit numbers.
Is there an assisted dialing app or apk available that I can install which would work with calls and SMS? It would be a big task to convert all my numbers to get rid of the plus code since international numbers are also saved for several contacts. If the assisted dialing app is not available, is there a dialer and sms app which will convert the plus coded numbers to the proper format for the country of residence before dialing/texting? I tried a few dialers but without any success.
Hope you can help. Thanks in advance!
