Downgrade from 3.16 to 2.17? - Mogul, XV6800 ROM Development

I tried downloading the 217 from the HTC site, but it wont allow me to go back. What's the trick to doing it?

You have to relock your phone instructions are on ppcgeeks but last I checked it is down. After you do that you can flash the stock rom.

anyone able to post the re-locker files on xda? They are the only files I don't have just yet.
/me gets in line for dcd's new kitchen...

thanks... I was afraid of that

Well I figured it out.. I downloaded the titan unlocker from the ppcgeeks ftp and just played with it until I figured it out. I am not back at 2.17 and just restored a backup from from prior to the 316 fiasco..
thanks

Shipped SPL

Okay, flame away.....I've searched 9 ways to freakin Sunday but cannot find my way back, I know I have seen a posting here somewhere that had all the shipped SPL's available, dang if I can find it now. I am downgrading for a warranty hit and need SPL 1.11. Checked the Wiki but........my keyword generator (that m/t space 'tween my ears) is not coming up with a search string that is leading me back to the light.....have already taken it back down from 2.10 olipro but must get this back to 1.11 b4 the new rig arrives Monday....apologies in advance
Thanks
Try The wiki
Just d/l a ROM that has the SPL
Use rar to decompile the exe
Use dutty's good nbh tool to disassemble the nbh
Then, you will have an SPL.nb file
Use dutty's good nbh tool to rebuild the SPL.nb file back into an nbh (do this carefully)
THEN, flash that with the custom RUU that you have been using to flash.
MrVanx Guides may help you to.
Read the wiki? ........read it, searched it, didn't find it. Really not asking about how, but about where. Course I could have my head way up my a$$ but I swear I have seen these already broken out and in a list or table.....
I do appreciate the info on one way to get there, will go that route if I cannot find it already parsed.
Anyone seen this table / list I am talking about, it had all the different SPL listed.......

Did you click the like to the wiki in my previous post? The words "The wiki" are a hyperlink.
Yep, I had that one bookmarked but was looking for a posting that had several SPL already broken out. I appreciate your effort to help and am beginning the process you laid out in your initial response.
Thanks, I will post here if I run into any probs, the new (probably refurb'd) unit should arrive tomorrow. I have taken it back from 2.10 olipro to 1.10 oli and back to the shipped WM5 version, all third party apps removed as well.
Solved
Reflashed HTC/ATT rom after reverting from 2.10 olipro to 1.10 oli and voila! back to original SPL1.11.......finally dawned on me why I had to use 1.10 oli as a go between 2.10 and the factory SPL, because 1.10 oli will allow you to flash 1.11 whereas 2.10 would not, so easy enough to re-flash.

8525 1.11 downgrade / pim.vol

Folks,
I upgraded my 8525 to the lastest firmware available on htc's website (2.15.502.3) with bootloader 1.11. I had backed up my pim.vol to save my contacts. When copying it to my newly flashed device, the phone app didn't work well and contacts didn't pull up.
I would like to downgrade to the original firmware so I can back up my contacts using outlook and then reinstall the firmware. I'm not sure what version I had before, but figure I'll try 1.30.502.1 with bootloader 1.04 and work my way up.
My question is, can I use CustomRUU to do this? If so:
do I just download the correct rom from http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_Upgrades and extract the nbh and place it in the same directory as RUUWrapper.exe?
what SPL radio button to I select on the gui (Force?)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This post was a pleasure to read. Thanks for doing your homework before asking.
Answers:
1. Yes, extracting the NBH and putting it in with the RUU will work fine.
2. Unless you are downgrading the SPL at the same time, just let the RUU auodetect the version - or manually select the correct one. ONLY use force if you want to overwrite the current SPL/IPL. If you use autodetect, it will still complete the flash - it will just leave the SPL and IPL untouched - which is nice and safe.
WAIT I reread your post. You really should install hard SPL. I thought you had. This will protect your phone from getting bricked. It is a sticky. If you don't do that (which I advise AGAINST, then use the force radio button. In case I wasn't clear - go and put HardSPL on first. It is like a condom - the best thing to happen to since the ROMs started to surface.
Thanks

Thanks for your help.

Bootloader Update Issue

OK I received a brand new xv6800 from Verizon today. Haven't even activated it yet. Wanted to update it first. So i downloaded Hard-SPL-MFG.exe and ran it. I get to the boot loader screen and it reads 2.40. Then the directions state disconnect cable and reconnect. I do that and the boot loader shows that it is connected via USB, however I cannot get a new activesync connection unless i restart. But when i restart lose the 2.40 bootloader. and the update errors out. I have tried the titan exitbl file but it cannot find the usb connection.
What am I missing?? Do I need to go the SD card route (dont have one yet)
My bootloader is 1.04
Any help would be appreciated
Don't worry about activesync after you replug it in. Just keep following the instructions. As long as when you plug it back in, it says USB at the bottom, just keep going.
Ok that sort of worked. Now im stuck at the 2.4 bootloader screen Fun stuff
You can run the fix from here.
The same fix is probably posted here too I just don't know where.
Thanks ran that again and it worked so I am back in business. Since you happen to be here any suggestion on which kitchen and radio to install
See this post. It worked for me.
Im working on radio and got it from your link but there is no link in the post to a kitchen i was going to downlod the latest one fromt eh lifesnotgood link which is called "dcd_titan_kitchen_3.2.2.rar" that should work right?
I have never used DCD. I use ppckitchen.org. You may want to consider just loading a custom ROM first unless you know how to install and use a Kitchen already. Sometimes it is easier to flash a prebuilt custom and get your phone working, then start cooking and flashing your own.
With the ppckitchen you don't have to do carrier cabs, you just select your carrier in the kitchen.
OK i really appreciate all the help and I know i sound like a total noob but went to ppckitchen and everything i see is a kitchen i dont see a full rom, what am i missing
They only have the kitchen to make a ROM. belive DCD has some custom ROMS.
Thanks for all your help all installed and running, now just need to activiate with verizon
'Have a li'l question about updating to Olipro myself...
I could've swore that b4 I'd upgraded to Sprint OEM ROM v3.56.651.0, I could update to Olipro v2.40 via SD. Now, however, I'd had to do so via USB. Am I mistaken? Can you not use the .nbh file in the .exe pkg? I like bein' free of HAVING to use a desktop to accomplish PPC tasks.
Thanks, Everyone.
Just download DCD's 3.2.2 ROM on the 1st page of his post. He has a kitchen AND a ROM.... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=407376
As for using NueSPL 2.47, DO NOT use it until No2chem has finished his research on downgrading XV6800's.... While it has distinct advantages over olli 2.4, he's not sure about downgrading the bootloader to 1.X versions..... That is if you ever have to take your phone into verizon for service....

Where is the Titan RUU

I have been searching for it and can't find it. I'm sure I am overlooking it as I am in a hurry. I am trying to restore my phone to stock VZW ROM so I can ship it back. I have already relocked it and am in bootloader 1.06
Please help!
Michael
Edit: I have the RUU but cannot unRAR it. I am getting a non Win32 application error
A simple google search for 'verizon xv6800 ruu' has this as first hit.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=376873

Reverting Back to Stock AT&T Rom using Bootloader Screen

For anyone that needs it. First I flashed the Stock AT&T rom from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=410159, under Available Shipped WM 6.1 roms. If you also flashed a differnet Radio you will need to revert that back to OEM also before proceeding. Following the directions on the Hard SPL Sticky, I downloaded all 3 cabs in the first post. I unzipped and extract all 3. I double clicked the icon in the Hard SPL cab folder and watched everything extract. I copied the RUU_Signed.nbh file from the Stock SPL folder into the Hrd SPL folder, replacing the original in there. I then executed the update and my Fuze Blacked out. It would not restart and I freaked. I pulled the battery, counted to 30 and re-installed it. Thankfully it booted back up. I started the whole process over using SSPL Manual process instructions on the Hard SPL Sticky and it also failed. I then tried the first method again, staring with my Fuze on the Bootloader screen (Volume Down and reset with Stylus until it comes up on the tricolor screen) and it worked perfectly. As my fuze shipped with SPL 1.95 I then had to re-flash the stock AT&T rom once more for that to upgrade from version 1.90 to 1.95. I hope this helps anyone else with the same problem. Good Luck!
1.95 SPL
Jakedog you Da man OMG how did you figure that out????? Mine worked like a charm no hang ups at all and now I will be taking this Fuse back to AT&T like nothing happened. LOL......... Once again big props to you because nobody on this forum knows how to get the 1.95 SPL back, they do not even know it comes with the 1.95.... Thanks
If you guys read the Wiki you would find all this info there also.. no need to "figure" it out.
Take a look at this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=448008
Nice, huh?
Hrd_spl 1.95
I did read the post and used the old zip file:StockSPL_ForWarrantyOnly_SPL190_1.zip but guess what the new Fuse has a 1.95 SPL, so what good does the 1.90 do me So the question is how to get to 1.95 when no one has extracted the stock 1.95 SPL from the Fuse? Now thats not in the Wiki????? Yes check the wiki the new Fuse has 1.95 SPL not old 1.90.
ilanoraa,
Didn't realize that regarding the SPL... maybe you can update the Wiki (anyone can) to include this.
Jakedog you rule!!!
