Google Navigator? - Mogul, XV6800 ROM Development

This looks like a cool program but doesn't seem to actually work on my titan with the new GPS rom. I have tried it using DCDs and the sprint rom. Google Navigator on both roms in too slow to use. Google maps works fine however.
Any ideas or hacks to get it working correctly?

Yeah I had no luck with it. It's not made by google but I believe it uses google maps/earth and overlays on top of it. I ditched it after 15 minutes and a few soft resets.

maps for GPS?

I'm gonna throw this out and see what happens.
I just got Efficasoft GPS Utilities for my wizard. So far I like it, but it doesn't come with maps loaded on them. Which is the only thing that bothers me about it.
On their website, they say you can make maps using a google maps screen capture. but the biggest map I can generate is a 5 mile radius and that's no good to me.
Anyone have any ideas on getting some decent maps to work with it?

Google maps issue?

First off I'm using miui fascinate build from 4/4 and noticed something weird. Maybe its just on miui and you guys can check other roms. When using Google maps it never finds my location and if it does its not accurate has the bog blue circle. But when I use MapQuest on my miui fascinate it locks perfect location in a couple to a few seconds. Maybe its Google maps not playing nicely with the fascinate. Let me know.

I've had that problem with every ROM I've used with this phone. If I don't run GPS Status first, google maps/nav never finds me. When I run GPS Status though I get a lock in about 5 seconds so it's really not a big deal. It takes maybe an extra 10 seconds to open the app and get a lock then open google maps.

the gps runs, except the maps app

I have the last vanilla root box version installed on my galaxy s2. It's a really good ROM, it hasn't any issue, the only one I have is really weird, because even if the GPS runs with other applications that use it, I notice that maps and navigator that are the default applications to find my own position, don't work. I tried GPS fix, I installed and uninstalled maps via link2sd but all was useless. So now I have an application, copilot that barely works as it is supposed to do and I just want maps to run again as in the original firmware. I have gapps obviously already installed. Thanks for the help.

[HELP]Google Maps

Running on 7" Almost AOSP V. 2. Everything is excellent but I can't get Google Maps working. It's incredibly sluggish, on-map text is glitchy and it's essentially unusable.
Is there a known fix for this?

Google MAPS will not work on an Amazon operating system - I don't believe it will work on any of the thor-gapps roms. The API will not render properly, and is not licensed to work on Amazon o.s.'s. It will work on Capsjuste's AOSP 4.2.2-0 android ROM , which does not use Thor.
However, if you have access to the Amazon Appstore, you can try the 99-cent Tab for Google Maps app.

I don't have access to the amazon store. Any idea what the next best thing is on the Play Store?
I have Google maps working just fine in my 8.9" Fire running the stock OS with all the Google apps installed.
Obviously it doesn't work as well as the copy in my Note 3 without the onboard GPS, but it will find a location and map a route just fine.
To piggyback on this, does Zillow use the Google maps app? I downloaded Zillow from amazon before configuring gapps and it worked fine. I installed gapps then tried it and it was screwed up like Google maps.

Does maps.google.com work for you on the kindle? I don't have mine readily available to test, but since there's no GPS and you need a wireless connection to access maps anyway, wouldn't the website only be marginally less convenient than the app for this particular device?

Google Maps Glitchy

I searched on these forums for a solution and even the internet, and I couldnt find anything very specific. Has anybody been having problems with Google Maps...it being very glitchy (graphics jumping around, and notification bar acting up when I pull it down on maps.)
Going on a pretty large trip in a couple of weeks and I would like to use Google Maps for the GPS.
Thanks for any help provided.

That is a real relevant question. Mine jumps around sometimes too. Uninstalled maps and then installed it fresh from play store.
Don't remember if that helped some.
Definitely helps to not have any overlays going on over the maps, and holding the phone still.
Dunno what else, so glad you posted, as now some others might have advice.

I've had the issue at times, but it seems to vary depending on whatever version is used. For example, the current version is jittery, but less so than the last. However a few versions back it worked perfectly for me. I think it has more to do with whatever "features" Google is now implementing than our device or particular version of Android we're running. Just look at the comments for it at the play store and you'll see we aren't alone and that it's been an ongoing issue for some time.
