Todays screen is cluterd with tons of spb apps I would like to remove but would like to link to without going throught programs to access them
Have you checked your free RAM?
Make sure you close all app to free the resources.

I am a little overwelmed which how much stuff you can hack up or modify with this compared to my Compaq iPaq I had about 9-10 years ago. I could really use some help with a few questions. My 1st post here, and i am going to try not to be a newbie, i do a lot of developing with FoFiX, and XBMC skins, and know what it's like to get newb's asking questions already answered. But i have searched and read for 9 hours straight now and just confused still about a few things. If anyone doesn't mind answering these and just had some time, I would really appreaciate the help.
I already messed around with trying out the other home alternative, and iPhone clone, and after playing around since with the manila/TouchFlo, so far it's the best one out with being skinable and also is smoothest and nicest looking, with easiest finger touch control. So i am now wanting to learn as much as i can. I'm by far no stranger to MOD'ing stuff , so i mostly understand the dAnGeR's and terminology. I am already going to start converting an XBMC skin i co-develop ('Back-Row') for ever one to use. I do a good bot of all the graphics for it, and doing all the work to update it for 1900x1080 realms.
1) Currently i am using Manila2D_1.00_1819.2926 for now, and still can't quite figure out about the differences of using either 'kitchen' or 'Loaded' manilla ROM files. I am gathering from reading that this allows you to replace your current rom with another ROM that already has manilla inside/cooked so you are running it directly, as part of the overall OS, thus saving internal memory, allowing certain problems from happening. Like it here and there switches programs (opera) back to the touchflo screen, as well as it prompting "Tap here to start Touchflo" and having to do this every here and there.
2) The touchflo 3d isn't available yet, and possible/definitely wouldn't run on a HTC Mogul (64megs internal, 1?? storage), 4 gig stick memory card (got an 8 gig stick on the way from Amazon-$14.99) or maybe??? Cube seems to work ok so far, alongside with Manila2D_1.00_1819.2926. I read about install problems and such with Manila if cube was installed, it's working fine for me.
3) When i make a contact memory, i notice it doesn't seem to hold the memory setting. As when i go back, they are all blank again "+"), is there possibly a file that needs a reg switch or is this just a bug? My favorite program links I set stay just fine though.
Again, thanks for any help on this guys. I am still reading and searching, and will keep an eye on this thread in case someone will hopefully answer this. And thanks again in advance.
Here's the deal. HTC Titan has only 64 Megs of RAM, ~25-27 of which are usable at bootup. This means a beautiful app such as M2D takes up its fair share of memory and CPU, causing intensive programs such as Opera Mobile to crash now and then.
If you want to make that sacrifice for a pretty, flowing interface, you will not be alone. Scrosler makes an excellent ROM [variant of DCD's 3.2.6] which I've found - over the course of a few weeks - very stable.
Again with the cube interface.. it's just pretty graphics and will eat up alot of precious memory once you get some intensive programs running. If you just want your phone to be impressive and fun - cool, go for it.
With respect to the contacts vanishing, that is a problem with the way your Windows Live is set up. To resolve it I think you must force the server to -not- attempt to sync your contacts. Also, use dotFred's PIM Backup [found in development & hacking] and you will be able to save your contacts, messages, tasks, etc. on a single backup file.
If you are going to get into flashing various ROMs, I suggest picking up UC Autorun. Had I used it from the start, I would have sliced off several days of reconfiguring.
I've read this numerous times. I consistently see people write that if one runs M2D, especially on scrosler's ROM, that one sacrifices memory and that's why opera and things have problems.
I disagree. Because the ROM already has so much free RAM, I have more memory running M2D on this ROM than I did running a stock ROM.
The R4R ROM, if one installs the HTC Task Manager, has EnableAutokill enabled by default. This is what's killing your apps when you start running low on memory. I recommend disabling it. There are instructions if you keep reading that thread. Or you can download my updates to this ROM, which are also linked to in the R4R thread. Maybe a couple more hours of reading and you'll get through the whole thread.
I disagree.

I really appreciate the opinions and such for responses. That's helpfull to me. Today i removed the cube program, since i store the cab file on my 8 gig storage stick in case i want to dump it on, but also since a fair bit of what it does i can still also do with M2D anyway. Although yes it's cool looking, the main purpose can be done with M2d, and for the most part i now have "Free:18.70MB" of free available space from "Free: 10.24MB", almost doubled the amount of free memory space. As well as freeing up the space from "In Use:42MB" down to now being "In Use:34MB". So at least now programs aren't crashing.
Now things are working fine. I still need to mess with the contacts not saving, but program links are fine. Trying to understand about the mentioned how to possibly fix this with Windows Live and syncing. And also why touchflo still throws the 'Tap to load Touchflo' problem. Would flashing with this said 'Kitchen' ROM or the extra one include touchflo so it's always kind of running? This is the last 2 questions for me to work out, everything else i got going and understand already.
Hey guys,
I'm a noob because I have just joined and not an experienced Sprint Mogul or Titan user/ developer so please go easy on me (explain in detail) and excuse any "duuh questions" that I might have. I have a Sprint Mogul/ Titan PPC and had downloaded (is currently removed) Opera Mobile 9.5 Beta Explorer. I was very impressed with its easy-to-use interface and its wicked full page/ desktop view on websites. I deleted it thoroughly because it kept saying OUT OF MEMORY. That really pissed me off because I deleted just about everything necessary and kept saying that and even when I went to Task Manager to turn off the process it still said it! It messed everything up and I would be glad to get some help. I looked around at forums and it talked about making "New ROM directories thingees and making new Kitchens, etc." If you can, please explain what the heck that is and what I should do to get Opera Mobile up and running flawlessly. It also said things about making everything run smoother with no lag so that's interesting.Thank you so much! Please be kind with the comments, suggestions, advice, etc.
Also, I have Manilla2D (still working on errors and need help with that too) installed along with S2U2 IphoneLock.
I've given up on opera 9.5 till I see someone with this phone have success with it. I'm assuming you installed one of the versions that has no uninstall? A trick I used in the past was to install v8.65, let it over write the 9.5 files, then uninstall it. You might want to check out Skyfire and Opera Mini. Personally, I use Opera Mini for general browsing because it's fast and formats well along with Opera 8.65 when I need to download something. Skyfire shows promise with flash support, but it's beta, the d/l ability is poor, it sometimes hangs and is slower than mini. I've played with Manilla and SPB Mobile Shell, but I'm currently having fun with ThrottleLauncher. It's way more configurable than Manilla, a little lighter on the memory than Manilla and way lighter than Mobile Shell and with Gsmart skin, very powerful. It does take quite a bit of tweaking to get it just right though.
A ROM kitchen is a software suite used to create a custom ROM for the phone. This allows you to add the features you want and avoid some of the junk that Sprint/Verizon/Altell/HTC add. The WIKI explains things well. Don't forget to look at the "stickies" at the top of this page too.
I own a HD2 and I have removed HTC manila, because it slows down the device. So I am running the default Windows Home screen.
I need a simple tiny utility or applications to display the time on 4 different cities (Beijing, Rome, LA and Auckland).
any search I have done on google don't result in anything usable...can somebody point out a nice tiny application freeware or shareware?
Thanks a lot
Saulo
SPB Time is shareware.

Another idea?
Not sure if this is the sort of thing you're after?

Hello Fellow HTC HD2 Owners!
I have a T-Mobile HTC HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 on Sense. I am looking for a free navigation program with voice, can anyone help me? I am sick of my friends with Android making fun of me because I have to pay to use mine. Please help!
If so, please give me step by step instructions on how I can get it and install it.
Thank you!
Wuse get it on omarket.
The newest version of Bing has a Navigate feature that works brilliantly... Though the interface will freeze from time to time the voice keeps working somehow...
It only cos your friends have a os that has apps but little freedom, whilst your has lots of freedom but fewer apps
Try Navit
You may want to try Navit.
This is 100% free, available offline, working quite good, but not 100% realible yet, i. e. routing over 700 km requires a lot of free memory.
The map is great and very detailed (at least for Germany).
See also the installation guide for the HTC Touch (in German though).
Be gentle, new poster...
I've been scouring Google Play Market, F-Droid, and the net in general for an app that can Monitor and Log all files/folders created during the installation of another apk. Preferably one that can revert these changes with it's own uninstall sequence.
I'm so tired of having to root around in a file explorer trying to identify and clean out completely useless folders and files left behind by over-reaching apps. ES File explorer pro has a feature that cleans -some- of this crud upon uninstalling an app, but it leaves much behind.
Any suggestions? Pointers? I'm not opposed to creating my own Tasker profile to achieve the results, but I'd rather have a nice neat all-in-one app for it.
[Sorry if this is in the totally wrong forum, or I made any kind of posting whoopsie. Still very new to posting in forums, feel free to berate me and point me to the right place, so that I learn.]
maybe Xinstaller, app cache cleaner, smart booster (3 of them or 2 of them can help for setting things that u want.
@mark manning
sir,
another 1..
please move it to dedicated forum.
I'm looking for the same type of app.
I was using SD maid on my rooted S2 and it was doing some kind of tracking app installations.
And after getting rid of the app, it showed corps from the specific app.
But I think it didn't show all of em.
Cause while using an Explorer like solid Explorer, I still could find some folders from apps I already deleted from my phone.
Not just folders, also library's, thumbnails and many more stuff like that.
It's not a big deal, but if you trying a lot of apps without keeping them on your phone, like me, you will came to that point, where your phone is floated with stuff from apps you aren't using anymore.
So if there is an app out there,at best without needing root, I would love this app and also would be willing to pay for it.
And if there is no app out there, what I can't imagine, we should contact an dev with that idea.
And because I'm an German, don't get mad at my bad English skills.
Sent from my SM-N915FY using XDA-Developers mobile app
Afaik, such an app does not exist (yet).
SD Maid's CorpseFinder the closest thing we have right now, but it's passive and database based.
I've looked into this idea already and some things worked, but it was not reliable or safe enough to just start deleting files based the collected information.
It also wasn't very battery friendly.
