Hi i need a question answered...I am on wifi and i noticed when i logged into my mobile msn messenger it downloads all of your contacts from your hotmail...How do i fix this problem as they are all mixed in with my contacts in my address book for the phone...

I just got my hero and now I'm wondering is there any way to sync my thunderbird with the email client on my htc hero ?
I want to import all emails with folders and contacts .... But until now it seems impossible
If anyone has an idea please share with me.

If you're willing to sync your Hero with Google, then it's easy:
- sync your mail (and SMS too!) to Gmail, and then TB can access them from Gmail via IMAP. And vice versa.
- sync your Contacts toGmail contacts, and TB can access them via the Zindus plugin. and vice versa.
This is the setup I used but I have experienced a lot of problems with the contact synchronisation. I had a few contacts who have been deleted from my address books, I think due to the fact that not all fields in Thunderbird map 1 on 1 with gmail contacts. I had the settings in Zindus set to manual and warning for conflicts but still a few problems. I have now stopped syncing the thunderbird contacts with gmail contacts. If I have a new contact I will enter it in both gmail and thunderbird. The Zindus sync helped me alot for the initial sync because I have more than 800 contacts in my Thunderbird

I started using windows live messenger app on my hd2, then it synced all of the emails of my friends to the hd2 contacts list, I didnt want that so i deleted them from my contacts list without knowing that IT WILL DELETE ALL OF MY MSN FRIENDS from messenger, so now i have no friends on when i enter messenger(on hd2 and PC).
PLEASE PLEASE tell me that there is some backup file that will allow me to restore my friends.

Have you checked you contacts list on Hotmail? Not on I'm on email web site

It there not on your email account on Hotmail.com then they've gone, I'm pretty sure MSN don't back them up.

Yeah, they're gone. Sorry to say, that's happened to me.
Microsoft needs to work that **** out. Between Outlook and Hotmail. The integration is horrible, they're two different databases that cannot be merged easily.
I now have to always sync both my Activesync and my Hotmail contacts. Or else I risk losing some people. Totally stupid.

Recommended exporting backup from outlook and syncing with Gmail for extra backup also if you use android Gmail will automatically sync your contacts with your android

Is there a solution to IM chat with yahoo contacts on Windows Live messenger (wm6.1). I added an IM yahoo on my messenger list but it is not online even if it is connected to yahoo messenger.
WLM desktop application can connect multiple servers messengers (Yahoo, Facebook ...) but on WLM mobile the only furniture in the MSN contacts.

I found an explanation, for my problem, to our colleague Devtone, but do not understand the procedure:
"Use a windows client to add a 'cross user', yahoo or WLM. Both need to be V8+ for adding each others users."

I keep all my contacts on gmail & sync them on my N4 & iPhone without a problem. Now wanted 2 get gmail contacts on my Lumia 920, I set up gmail account in EMAIL+ACCOUNTS & selected CONTACTS in CONTENTS TO SYNC...
For any gmail contact which has 2 mobile numbers... I only get one mobile number synced 2 Lumia 920... The 2nd mobile number on gmail contact doesn't get synced up.... Can anyone plz help me 2 sort this problem out... Thanks in advance

Try to give the mobile phone numbers different types like . home work car or whatever.. works for me..
but there are differeantly limits in email and mobile numbers.
have for example phone synced with google and outlook.com and they are not the same for a test account.
and it also has problems refreshing.. as far as outlook.com concerns

Recently after flashing my Lumia 710 with Rataplan v7.0, I can't seem to connect to Facebook chat. I've tried deleting and syncing Facebook account on my phone. I've also tried removing and adding Facebook association on outlook.com, The chat is working fine on outlook messenger, i am also able to sync my contacts and photos with Facebook on my phone. Only the chat isn't working, after trying to check who's online the chat says "Can't connect to see who's online" . Please help it was working fine with Rainbow Mod v2.1.
