unable to upgrade from wm5 to wm6

hi, i have been doing a lot of research but not able to solve this problem:
i have a G4 prophet and every time i try to upgrade it or even run PVTEMP it throws up an error 264 - connection
my device details are as follows:
ROM version: 2.20.7.34 WWE
ROM Date: 7/10/06
Radio Version: 1_02.20.21
Protocol Version: 4.1.13.9
have tried reinstalling Active Sync and both soft SPL and HARD SPL but no luck.

PVTEMP is a WM5 ROM used in the 'old' method of updgradine. Using this method, it is not necessary to use Hard or Soft SPL.
What is the ROM called or is it an original ROM?
Have you tried using a different WM5 ROM?

are u using windows vista by any chance?? or is it sim locked or cid locked?

What IPL and SPL do you have? What ROM (name) do you have ? Is it WM5 or WM6? Have you SIM unlocked your device? Have you tried a different WM5 ROM?

AKU3.3 V2 TodayAgenda Frozen!

I'm still having the same problem with TodayAgenda (frozen) and also can't update the patch cuz sync hang up trying to connect the Agenda. I flashed twice and nothing changed. Any other rom for G4?
This is what I've got:
HTC 8125 - CID unlocked

Rom Version : 3.3.0.0

Yesterday I unlocked my HTC Advantage X7500 with Olipro's Athena unlocker. Then I installed a WM6 ROM from a thread from tupisdin. So far so good. It is working but when I look in de device Information I see this:
ROM version: 2.20.405.1
ROM date: 06/21/07
Radio version: nothing
Protocol version: nothing
ExtROM version: 2.20.405.1
Does this mean my HTC has no radio installed? Is this maybe the reason why my TomTom 6.0 keeps looking for a GPS signal?
How do I solve this problem?

Hello. It sounds to me like you have maybe missed the radio steps in the unlocking procedure. Try re-doing the unlocking again and then reflash with wm6 rom.

What're the different if I upgrade to G4?

The different betwen G3 and G4 is the DOC (Disk On Chip). Its like a Harddisk for your device. You cant update it! Its a physical IC (Chip) in your device!!!
If you flash the wrong Version ... your device cant enter the partition for OS!
G3 and G4 DOCs have different Driver, security option and Adressing.
Do you flash the wrong version, you kill your device.

there is nothing called upgrade to g4
g4 is a hardware number not a software number

Well, this is soo strange. The problem is this:
1- I upgraded to Shato Touch 1.0 (WM6) before.. Worked fine
2- I decided to upgrade to Wm6.1 - Cloudyfa Touch Edition 2.0, so i did a clean PVTemp install and now i have
IPL: 2.13.0001
SPL: 2.20.0001
Rom Version: Qtek 2.20.7.34 WWE
Radio Version: 02.47.21
Extrom: 2.20.7.114
4- Now the problem: Ive tried every tool on the forums. Every tool to Hard SPL it. Everytime it just reboots after all process, and the IPL / SPL numbers stay the same. As i figure from the forums: they should turn to 2.G4.4PDA or 2.24.opil, But they remain the same?
Please tell me what to do? I mean i really want to upgrade to 6.1, but icant fugire out what s the problem

................go for 1d, no hardspl is required.

haha! Ive been trying to hard spl for abt 1 month now.. with breaks of course, whenever i got time... but as soon as i posted it, it worked!
I ran the hardspl.bat in the Upgrade_HardSPL_G4 folder... not the nvrom setup.
ANd it worked! Its showing 2.0.G4.4pda .. and i just installed wmtouch 2.0 edition (cloudyfa ).
Well, this is a odd, but thanx a bundle Ill do the 1d method when i plan to change roms again

If your phone is already HardSPL,there's no need to use SofSPL.simply download and flash any latest rom to upgrade,like you flash any official stock rom.
Btw,why you want to get it SoftSPL?

OMG, Are you gone out of your mind,your phone is HardSPL and you are trying to flash an official T-mobile rom containing IPL/SPL in it ? its committing suicide !!!
Don't you know,its fatal flashing a rom with IPL/SPL to a device with HardSPL Bootloaders will 'Brick' the phone.
Well,if it still gets into Boot;oaders,then consider yourself as one of the luckiest human beings,as its still alive and not bricked.
While HardSPL,you can only flash custom build roms,but if you want to revert back to your official stock rom,then first remove HardSPL flash back to original official Bootloaders (IPL/SPL) and then flash the stock rom.
Or, yes you can flash the official rom through SoftSPL but first you'll have to extract the official rom,extract/remove the IPL/SPL out of it,repack the rom and then flash the nk.nbf only through SoftSPL.
BTW, 2.26.10.105. are not G4 Bootloaders,re affirm it,you might be mistaken.
