this is my first posting in the potal but not good news..
i was trying to unlock my ameo with AthenaUnlocker. I did well step1, after that when it was about to finish step 2, my ameo went off and never comes back.
i tried to do hardreset but it didn't come back after restoring. i can't get into the bootloader, neither.
is it bricked? i'm still in warranty. if i send it to htc or tmobile, can it be back?
please, give your hand.

rom ver was 2.35 and radio ver was 1.50
If you hold down your camera button without releasing it, then poke the reset hole with the stylus, do you see the tree color screen with Olipro's name on it?

no unfortunately not.. when i do it, the light near the joystick just turns on. that's it. i tried to separate the battery for more than 10 mins, however, didn't work either.

Try again, sometimes the camera button has to be pushed stronger...

Wow!! suddenly it works!! as you said i pushed the camera button as strong as possible. wasn't i strong enough before?? anyway, thanks a lot!! from now on, i need to find what i need to more. i forgot. thanx, mate!!
can i just get back to step 2?? or do i need to download more? from other threads, they said download roms from this link, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=314672, but i think these are old version. do i need to upgrade though? i don't know where i can get the rom for upgrading apart from that link. can i ask you a favour mates?

i would still like to unlock my ameo. i did step 1 and probably 2. then should i start from the fisrt step or just skip 1 & 2? i need to browse more.. if you want to give me a hand, tell me please.

i was trying to flash back to cing default and it stopped in middle of process and said comm error and it didnt start back up who should i send it back to because i had it exactly one week that is a new brick record
im just praying that when i send it back att doesnt charge me

No three colored screen from which you can work from?
as long as you have three coloured screen, there is a chance to save it..

Then, sadly (if the battery is still full) it's a brick..
Bootloaders are being flashed in the first minute or so, so if something goes pear-shaped approx halfway of flashing, only the OS is affected.
Then you can revive the device by flashing while in bootloader.
But since you even haven't got a bootloader, things look bad.

i just dit my radio update on my hero and i forget with radio it was but is was for the hero.
now the only thing my hero does is box with arrow for like 4 sec and then it tearns black.....
there is a video on youtube that shows the problem the video is called HTC HERO BRIK by user pcaraujo

nothing works all the key combo's dont work can;t get in to recovery
the only thing it does is when i power it on with the volume rocker up it will vibrate 3 times and blackscreen with the green led burning
i read a ton of topics about this but found no awnser please help me!

if not, you're out of luck, I think
if i send it back to where i bought it would they see is was rooted or not?
cos i bouhgt is lik 3 monts ago so there is still warenty

There are 2 types of radios, 1 for CDMA (Americas) and 1 for GSM (rest of world) if you chose the wrong one, BAD TIMES..... but you should really have researched before flashing

my hero was bricked well now my g1 is to !!!
2 mobiles on one night!!
i think god is trying to ruin me
but i will send my hero to htc for repair thats 50 bucks
and my g1 wil be sold for parts so thats the story or if any one have a salution please say so
The hero is almost impossible to brick fully so if you have done it twice in one night then you are seriously doing something wrong.
Tell us exactly what you have done and we might be able to help you.
... and so the rest of us know what NOT to do?.....

Try flashing a stock rom... it alsways seems to work for me...
after that you can always reroot your phone..
Ps. is you phone still rootet?
If so you can enable usb-ms toggle and put a different radio on you sd, and flash from there??
he can't flash anything anymore since he didn't even know what he did
he ****ed up his hero with a probably not for gsm phone radio

i'm just getting tired of people posting in development. why can't people use the right sections!!!
as for your help, try download the RUU file from htc's suport. if you have sync'd your phone with htc sync before, try running the ruu file and see if it boots into fastboot and tries re-flash your phone to factory settings

if it doesn't power up at all the RUU won't be of any help... and the thread was moved already.

there is a really good place, go out your door, make a left turn, then go down the street to the next crossing, it is the third house on the left after you make a right turn...

Hello everybody and thanks for any help in advance. A short run-down: I did HSPL3 for my Tmobile HD2 which worked flawlessly. Then I attempted to flash Energy Maxsense UI. I didnt need any radio due to my phone being Tmobile. I did check the radio version to be safe, but it was correct.
Well during the installation (1% progress) I got up to get some water and the swivel chair in my office knocked the phone to the ground and un-hooked the USB connection.
Now the phone is not turning on or responding in any way. The uploader program had recovery steps, but there was no option for when the phone is completely unresponsive. I tried running bootloader. Taking the battery out for 3 seconds. Connecting it VIA USB for actuvesync, but obviously that wouldnt work. Ive read posts, but havent found specific to my situation (YET, Im still looking).
This things bricked isnt it? Uggghhh... I just paid 140 to get the screen replaced too which doesnt make me feel any better. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.
Ok well, the battery contacts werent in line. So now the phone says "Softwarwe update failed! Please try again" Im sure somebody has had this problem so Ill look for an answer using the SEARCH feature. I know.... youre proud.

VERY PROUD But sense you were gonna search Ill give you a hand. Just reconnect and rerun the rom flash and you will be fine
This one may already be a lost cause but I'm going to ask anyway.
I was in the midst of a Task 29 with splash screen at work on my TP getting ready to flash a titanium ROM when my supervisor called me over to talk. When I got up, my foot got tangled in with my USB cord and my phone fell side-first on the ground with a lot of force. I picked up my phone to see that I had cracked the battery cover and that the volume rocker was detached from the phone. At first, I didn't think too much of it and I tried to just put it back in it's slot but it kept falling out and it didn't actually touch the circuit board in the right place anymore.
It wasn't until I was ready to try to enter the bootloader again that I realized that I needed the volume down button. Currently, all my TP can do is just show the splash screen that I flashed on it but that's it. I can't enter the bootloader at all. Does anyone know any other way that I can flash a ROM on the phone or at least enter the bootloader from a splash screen flashed phone without using Volume Down?
I've asked the good folks at PPC Geeks the same question. I'll update folks about this if I get an answer ever there...

It would have been great, the problem is that I flashed a splash screen during my task 29 and not a radio, I can't get passed that "touch pro" screen. I can't install any cabs at all.

I am trying to unlock my bootloader so im using the automatic thing..
My phone says failed to boot 0x1000. it warned me that this might happen and that i can use the volume keys to select fastboot but the volume keys arent doing anything..
help!
when youre phone is first booting, the very first thing you have to do is hold the down volume key (instantly after boot starts) and then press the up volume key to select it
ok so i did that and now at the bottom it says
"current choice is mode:
fastboot
starting fastboot protocall support"
the next step it tells me to do is turn off the phone while i press and hold volume down
but it wont let me turn it off.. the power button isnt doing anything
please if somoene could help mee
skip that step. You already did that step (what I just told you to do). You now have to run the fastboot protocols that they tell you to use in the "pudding" thread
edit: don't worry man. I'm here to help. Just keep telling me whats going on
i THINK i MAY have figured it out!!!
the phone now has the big Motorola sign with dualcore technology under it and it says
unlocked at the top right.
ill let you know if it eventually finished turning on..

You'll learn a lot as you keep doing more and more. In case your contacts get deleted, be sure to check out an app called "contact restoration" in the app market from moto. Works great. And be sure to check out faux123's 1.3 OC kernel (most stable I've seen so far) and either the Alien 4 rom or CyanogenMod7 pre-beta 3 (what I run and I love it)
okay ill give it a couple more minutes hopefully itll do somtehing
and yeah I want to put the alien rom on here.. is cm7 pre beta 3 better working than alien?

well, for you, I'd suggest running alien build 4 with the alien 4 theme. It runs really smooth and has very few issues. You should do some research into CM7 though...I can do lots of cool **** with my phone that I never knew was even possible with a cellphone
The only problem is it's not a very good "all day, everyday" rom. Some things dont work and there are some quirks but all basic functions work well

one more question -- which rom do you think is best?
Alien 4 (or any build) for a standard, everyday rom for sure.
yeah thats the one i am downloading right now.
I rooted the phone now and installed superuser.
once i download the rom and put it in my phones storage do i get intwo cwm by holding power and volume down ?
and then do i just flash it
