cant delete txt msg permanetly - Mogul, XV6800 ROM Development

Long time luker first time poster so im not really a n00b...
I tried "clear messages", deleting one by one, even goto windows, messiging, delete all. And everytime i soft reset all the msgs come back...?
Im running dcd 2.3.2 rom and 3.27.0 radio
TIA!
Josh

Anyone? I send about 5,000 txt a month and dont want my phone filling up!

I've noticed that if I soft reset too soon after deleting them they come back. Also if you soft reset right after you get a new message it will disappear. It does suck, but I think it just hasn't had time to write the changes to memory, they're just in temp. ram.

need help! messed up my xda2 camera!!

ive recently been tinkering with my xda2 and now for some reason my camera has messed up!
when i start it up, it kinda freezes, and occasionally shows some movement..
when i take a pic, it goes to the lil timer thingy in the middle of the screen and comes up with the message
"unable to save the captured image. 36001:500:10 unable to get data from camera device.
does anyone have any ideas?
im real desperate cos i use my camera every day
Well a hard reset might sort it out, if you have a good backup of your existing data it should be ok, you will be back to factory defaults.
have done 4 hard resets allready and changed the rom 3 times and no luck....

Don't use the "w" key in text messages.
Seriously though...have you tried resetting the phone? If a soft reset does not fix it, back everything up and try a hard reset. If it still does it after a hard reset before loading on your programs, it is either a ROM problem or a hardware problem. If you are running the stock ROM, take it back to Sprint for a warranty replacement.
and what if we're runnin cooked roms..?? im on the Rev A n GPS rom "3.16" an my phone is starting to do this also... evertime i text message someone it freezes... i did soft an hard resets, SPB backup'd everything, an problem still persist... Anyone else have any insight on this..???
it only started doing this about 4 days ago. I have had the pirated GPS firmware installed for over a month now with no problems til last week...
it is not only the "w"on the key board it is the "w" on the touchscreen keyboard...

Sense wont launch

For some reason HTC sense has stopped working, I restarted my phone just a bit ago and when it booted back up it said launching sense but it never launched and then later said it was unable to launch sense.
I've tried turning sense off and back on as well as resetting a couple of times.
I haven't done anything with my phone since it stopped working, not installed any cabs or edited the registry just all of a sudden it has stopped working. For some reason programs that use sense for example the dial pad and contacts page (or at least I assume they use some part of sense) are working.
Luckily I can still use default windows screen until I find a possible answer to hopefully save me from a dreaded hard reset.
Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this without a hard reset?
I had this problem about 2 weeks ago. I flashed the phone back to stock ROM but it didn't fix the problem. So I had to take it in for repair. I would recommend you do the same mate.
Give this ago.
I've tried using that program above but unfortunately didn't work, so I did a hard reset and thankfully sense did work so it isn't as serious as some people where sense still doesn't work after a hard reset.
But luckily I did a complete backup before hand with spb backup, restored the backup hoping that maybe it would work but like I thought sense stopped working again.
Now just wondering if anyone knows what would be the best things to start disabling from the restore that wouldn't alter sense but yet keeping the phone as close to what it was before it started working?
Used SPB Backup? There uve got the option to customize ure restoring process.
Try to uncheck all/some manila files, uve edited, especially cookies manila files.
I had this. Turned out something on my storage card was giving me problems. Take your SDcard out, then reboot the phone. If Sense loads, format your storage card. If not, then it's another problem.
I've tried removing my memory card but the problem still persists, I then tried to restore certain parts from SPB backup until the problem starts happening again. Restorying everything but the registry and the databases that the problem exists.
Restoring the databases and not the registry leaves sense in a half working state and restoring the registry and not the databases leaves sense completely not working.
Is there a way of restoring all registry values that are related to htc sense and keeping all other values that are related to all other apps

Not sure about the registry. You might be better doing a task 29 and re-flashing your ROM.
Theres a method which involves deleting manilafull.xml from the windows folder that some people have reported as working...... It didnt work for me....
Ive had this a couple of times...........Once for no reason (I can think of)
The second time was because i took my sd card out while the phone was on.....Unless it just so happened to be a massive conincidence.......
Sorry to say but the only solution I ever found that works is......... the one you dont wanna do....
Yeah thought it would have to be a hard reset, ah well looks like I'll have to spend all day reinstalling a ton of stuff
Thanks anyway
happened to me the other day after i tried booting android. had to hard reset
I had that after booting the phone with a wrong SD card .. other one then i original use .. after putting in the original one again, it wasnt fixed .. had to hard reset
it happened twice with me. but when i flashed my ROM again it worked each time.
im having a problem like this...how can I hard reset without going thru manilla settings?
EDIT: jeez im such a dummy sumtimes....
With your phone powered off, press and hold the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
While holding the volume buttons, press the END/POWER button briefly and then release it.
When you see a warning message on screen, release the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
Press the VOLUME UP button to perform the reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset.

Keeps turning off / memory full

Hello
Since yesterday my phone keeps turning itself off and then on again. I have a suspicion that it is due to the internal memory being full. I am also suspecting that the files that I delete are never really deleted. I keep getting the memory full message no matter how many files I delete and apps I uninstall. I also remember once going through my sms inbox, deleting old messages and threads...only to rediscover them in the inbox after changing SIM cards.... They were never really deleted.
Is there no thrash can to empty in order to permanently delete deleted files?Any other ideas on why the phone keeps turning itself off?
Thanks!
Does anyone have any clues as to why the phone keeps turning itself off? It's getting really annoying and I would be very glad for some advice!
Thanks!
I would try a hard reset or flashing a new ROM. This is a very common problem with Windows Mobile, and can usually only be truly cured with a hard reset or flash.
Ok. Thank you. Will be difficult to back up first though, since it keeps turning off all the time...
Does anyone know of a good program to back up sms messages by the way? So that they are saved to a file and can be deleted from the computer.
Thanks!

What to do if even factory rest can't help ?

After downloading a seemingly innocent .apk my phone gpt blocked by a message, which i only could get away by factory resetting. But after the factory reset, I noticed that my phone made strange things, like it turns off when it wants to, it got very hot and even the camery went on on it's own. So i decided to to the reset again. Now i can't get in at all, since my phone wants meto log in into my google account to restore, which i can't avoid, even though i just resetted everything. Bit when i try to log in, it tells my that my password got changed and that i have to wait for 24 h. And i'm getting this message everyday for a month. But the thing is that my password actually still is the same. When i try to log in with a different e-mail, i get an error message.
Can somebody please help me out ?
If more details needed, just ask.
