Hi, I was just wondering, for those that are using no2Chem's 5055 rom, do you guys have the "word completion" tab under "Input"? I cannot find mine...thus unable to disable word completion.
Is there any way to disable word completion by registry?
Any help would be nice

Hi guys, was wondering if anybody know of a Policy Editor style util/tool for the O2 XDA.
We ship these XDA's to our clients to use with our custom designed software, however we dont want them to run anything bar our software.
With Windows you can use Policy Editor to allow only authorised applications to be executed. Can this be done with the XDA's.
Oh one more thing, does anbody know how to delete the settings folder off the start menu?

Don't know if there is a policy editor but I recall reading about a product from SPB Software house (http://www.spbsoft.com/index.html) that sounds like it might be what you need.

Thanks for your kind words. I'd be interested in finding out about your experiences. Seems like SPB is putting in some effort in the Enterprise area which is great to see. I do use some of their products on personal basis but have not had as chgance to see how well they do this zone. Look forward to hearing from you.

Hello Together,
I upgraded my hermes with the Shaps WM6 3.54b German-ROM. Everything is working fine now.
The only thing I miss is the spell-checking option in Word and all the other applications you can write Text e.g. the SMS/MMS programm. Does anyone know how to activate it, or where I can donwload this feature?
Every application is suggesting me three or less words while i write a word. This I don't mean. I mean the option "spell-checking" for the whole text after writing.

Alright quick (probably simple) question but i cant find the answer to it anywhere. Im trying to cook a Rom for a friend and i have never baked touchflo into a Rom but he wants it. I asked him if he wants the whole cube thing and he told me that he wanted to simply be able to drag his finger up or down to scroll (like the kaiser does). So now my real question is whether this is a part of touchflo or not. Either way I dont care, if i have to install the whole cube package and then disable the cube via reg edits, i can, but i would rather there just be an OEM that lets me do the scrolling. Anyone have any insight to this matter? I have quite a few different OEM packs from around the internet and i have countless OEMs of touchflo. Hope someone knows something about this. i appreciate your help (and/or bitterness towards my question.) but lo, i have another. does anyone know where an oem can be downloaded of this touch application by efrost or should i create my own using the cab? either way works, one is just easier
I guess what i am really trying to ask is what is touch flo considered generally? is it the cube or just the scrolling? how is it defined by this community?
touchflo is a cab. cube is separate application. but u need touchflo in order to use cubes.

Rename your thread. This could be misleading. This does NOT disable xT9. It only changes the default input method to abc (which is much better for most of us non-english users).
Rename it to something like:
Default input abc instead of xT9 cab fix
there... I changed it heheh... Thanks But I also found out that somebody knew about this earlier. Too bad I didn't read the post.
But now your thread title is more descriptive and will definitely get more hits on search query results.

I found out how to set xT9 as the default (over ABC):
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Tegic\eT9\IME
-> set CarrierDefaultTextMode to 1 (the .CAB in this thread sets it to 0).
Now my keypad switches to T9 automatically when it pops up!
how about forcing qwerty mode always on, instead . is it possible?
i'm trying to get a touch dual (uk t-mobile latest stock rom) to default to xt9 rather than abc.
I've tried the CarrierDefaultTextMode fix mentioned below (adding the key as a Dword as it didnt already exist) but no change, it still defaults to abc when starting a new sms message or anything.
Before recently going back to t-mobile for a repair and them flashing it with the latest rom it defaulted to xt9 and the owner wants it to behave as it did.
Anyone got any other ideas?

Has anyone else had a problem with the word completion and spell correction on the software and hardware qwerty keyboards? Even though I have both of these features checked they still don't work. When I'm in T9 mode it works ok just not in ABC.
Is anyone else having this problem? I would like it to work like word completion did on my Mogul.

Yeah, me too. I loved word completion on my Treo 700wx. I wish it would start working on the TP. Of course that is minor compared to the TP not wanting answer incoming phone calls. Now THAT just sucks.

where did the cab go?
phone not answering calls.
There is a fix for that problem it comes from diamond config and advanced config function. You need to do a search it is a quick reg edit that will fix it. I believe I found it over at ppcgeeks. And it fixed my problem of not answering calls.
Classic Word Completion?
I would like to have the classic 6.0 XV6800 word completion. It was alot nicer. Anyone know where to find it at? Ive been looking and searching the forums for it.
