i have got a o2 atom exe from hong kong, the language is chinese i want to upgrade to english.which is file i should use, i tried win6 rom but failed.

I have this problem before, but finally I changed my CHT WM5 rom to English WM6 rom with the following method:
1. Upgrade to CHS WM6 (you can find the rom in here) http://www.iio2.com/
2. Downgrade to the original WM5.0 Eng Rom
3. Upgrade to any Eng WM6 Rom

2. If you are using O2 XDAII, just register and download 1.60.00WWE from the O2 website, and follow the instruction. You can transfer to English WM2003 without any problems.

i flashed my XDAII into WM5 1.06c Rom + 1.08 Radio rom
can i use "Customized WM2003SE Extended ROM - Asian Edition Version 2" for the Extended ROM ?

After many posts, i'm not sure on what to do to change my ROM..
I've got from Vodafone Portugal this tytn with:
Portuguese
ROM: 1.18.260.2
Date: 07/22/06
Radio: 1.03.03.10
Protocol: 32.34.7010.01H
ExtRom: 1.18.260.105
I want to change it to English to try another Rom, cause i suspect that this ROM (Portuguese) it's incomplete, and not very good.
On the FTP i've downloaded the:
I-Mate shipped Version (WWE - English), with the installation file inside, and the process to install is very easy (just follow the indications on screen).
The Portguese ROM, doesn't got the instalation file, and inside of it, there are 3 files part001.raw, part002.raw, part003.raw..
My Question are:
Should i change to I-mate Jasjam ROM? and if i wall to rollback to the portuguese ROm...How? Can any Guru, help with a CLEAR and SIMPLE Guide/Thread/Post..

basically if you flash it with the imate rom you cannot go back to the portuguese rom. The portuguese rom you've downloaded is a dumped rom, the imate is a shipped complete update.

My first post here! I wanted some advice please. I have an HTC Touch Dual (carrier-unbranded and unlocked) which is using the English language. It is currently running WM 6.0 but I want to upgrade it to WM 6.1.
When I go to HTC's support site and type in the phone's serial number, it only gives me access to the PTG (portuguese) ROM, not the WWE (english) version.
I have downloaded the WWE version from a link in these forums (file name: RUU_Nike_HTC_WWE_2.09.405.1_Radio_NikeMR_1.65.28.25_signed_Ship.exe) but I want to know if I can flash my phone OK bearing in mind I don't know the original locale of the device? Can I flash my supposedly portuguese phone with a WWE ROM?
Is there a way of backing-up my current ROM in case flashing goes wrong?

Probably yuor is a portoghese phone with WWE rom, owewer Flash a new hardspl 1.22 and use THIS newest rom (the last one)!
