Heres a new rom..
This rom is from taiwan made by Youzii.
- Build 18125
- No Cube, but TouchFLO and Touch Comm manager
- Including some tools and apps (Pocket RAR, psshutxp, pbar, and more!)
- Very stable and fast !
- Page Pool is 6 MB !
NOTE !
I have just updated this version and it works very well, BUT you might use the NVID WM5 rom before you flash this one, NOT the one which is included.. That made my phone start to boot loader..

I have changed the files a little so they now look more like the ones we are used to..

1. Under the EVO7 folder download both EVO7.part1.rar and EVO7.part2.rar
2. Begin with the extraction of part 1.. Run the exe thats the right for you
3. Now after flashing is done remain the pda unused and extract EVO7.part2.rar
4. Run Upgrade_Rom.bat and wait for its completion. Do as the utility tells you to
5. And now the rom should be installed !

How to falsh your device to EVO7：

1.Flash PV_TEMP (download PV_Temp http://tom-love.net/Rom/Prophet/WM6....et_PV_Temp.zip )
2.Install Cert_SPCS.cab、EnableRapi.cab to the wm5 PVTEMP (your ppc).
3.Execute EVO7.part1.exe >> choose upgrade method 3 (No bother to try part 2, double click EVO7.1 Part 1 will do the tricks)
Note: Part 1 and Part 2 are the same file devided into two parts. The former is a self-decompressing file which associates the latter by itself)
4.Wait for 20 mins or so. (or you may like to check PdocWrite out in your PC for time's saving.)
5. 1st device configuration (the first time)
6.Hard-reset (type 1234 on Clear Storage, rather than hold two buttons + the tiny hole pricking, is strongly recommanded).
7. 2nd device configuration (the second time)
8. Start enjoying your "brand-new" device!

1. The default region is Taiwan which can be changed at "Start\Settings\System\Regional Settings\Region.
2. Support Far-East characters including troditional Chinese, simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Korea, etc,. To display the characters properly please set the region accordingly at the same path above.
3. It's strongly recommanded to update the new version of G4 SIP Tweak, a third party application incorporated in EVO7en, for a better dispaly to the app.
4. The blue lines on the uppermost screen is an application to show battery and memory status on the left and right part respectively. Disable it by deleting pwrstat.lnk at the folder of Windows\Startup if it is not right to your eye^^|||
5. If you prefer the original contacts, disable the built-in PocketCM by assing the right soft-button to Contacts with Soft Key at Start\Settings\System.
6. No higher than 264MHz over-clock is recommanded for stability, though 274MHz works fine for some devices.
7. The clock on the upper menu bar can be changed to the battery icon by editing the value of registry as below:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell] "ShowTitleBarClock"=dword:0 >> battery display (1 = clock display)
8. Button 4 is yet to assign. Do it with Buttons at Start\Settings.
9. Edit the values of registry as below to modify the sensitivity of Touchflo (finger scrolling):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\TFLOSettings "SpeedHigh" (20 is recommanded) and "SpeedLow" (65 is recommanded).
10. To edit registry, you may like to run the built-in Task Manager at "Today\Programs\Tools". There is an app named RegEdit listed on the buttom of the menu.
11. X-button, thanks to the freelancer contributing it, seems to take to built-18125 better than pBar 1.4. (my case is that there are always 20M or so left no matter how long the device runs)
12. For whom like to read Thai characters properly, please visit the EVO7en link to download EVO extFont.cab
13. Original IM (原生輸入法) installation:
Copy all files OriginalIM.zip into the Windows folder
Import the registry file PhonIM.zip (注音輸入法).
Chajeiim (倉頡輸入法) and Mboxcht (手寫板輸入法) installation:
Copy the AdditionalDll.zip files into Windows
Import All_Chtim.reg instead.
You'll get all three input methods at once.

16. Users who are not good at modifying registry please install EVO ENGfix.cab to fix the letter-chopping problem on some setting pages.

18. Users who like to check your namelist with Celedial instead of the default SmartDialing, please modify the registry as below:

Hi, nothing has to do with G3 or G4 chips. It's an application to set the default loaded IM (input method), to hide uncessary IMs, and to assign the default display of fonts.
Big Brother iiiox is promoting EV07 English version here! This is a very great ROM. I am using the Chinese version now. It is very stable and fast.
One more important thing is that for all who prefer the BT sound quality of Fantastic B4 but not pleased with its stability and speed, this one will be your solution. Per Youzhi, he has used the A2DP driver from P800W. You will not hear any hiss sound under this ROM. I have tested it with my iTech S38 and Sony HBH-DS220 with great level of satisfaction.
Try it and you will love this ROM!

Not totally sure what your point is. If it is that your device failed to upgrade from wm5 to EVO7, try the steps listed below.

BTW, why don't you try EVO7en^^?? It's even faster (though fewer applications like removable HTCHome and Cube at this moment^^)
Hi, please follow the following steps:
1. Flash the PV Temp Rom;
2. Install the Cert_SPCS cab to your device;
3. Install the EnableRapi cab to your device;
4. Double the file name EVO7.1 Part 1;
5. Choose 3 on the cmd screen;
6. Wait 20 minutes at least;
7. Disconnect the USB;
8. Press the soft-reset button on the bottom. Then press the camera button and command manager button simutaneously. When you see a few lines of words on the black screen, press the phone-calling button. You will see "FAT Format is completed".
9. Enjoy!

Hehehe, I am a bit lazy recently. Maybe because I flashed my 818 Pro at least 3 to 4 times a day before. Now the EVO7.1 is really fantastic. It is very stable and fast. The new method of calling out the cube can't be better in elsewhere. Also, I am playing with my new BT headset Sony HBH-DS220 these 2 days. Hehehe.... forgive me being a bit lazy to flash new ROM.

2) Which works fully without using FlashLite or FlashPlayer

Instructions
1) Install this cab file

Hi guys,
I've managed to get the HTC Touch Cube working with jiggs's WM6 AKU 0.7.0. Not sure if anyone was previously successful in doing this. But unfortunately, at the moment, it is using the ButtonFlo method of turning the cube.
I dont have the expertise to get this thing working using the Finger or stylus to get the touchscreen to turn the cube yet.
Maybe one of you geniuses out there will be able to take this one step further and get it working fully! (I'm hoping)
To get the HTC Cube working with finger touch-screen capability (using eFrost's FTouchFlo) - just follow the steps in post #150 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1598731&postcount=150

ALTERNATIVE INSTALLATION METHOD
============================
ALTERNATIVELY, if you want to configure using the long-way; and using the attachments below, please follow the steps listed here:-
INSTALLATION STEPS -
1) Install jiggs's WM6 AKU070 (make sure HTC HomePlugin is activated - dunno if you really need it).
2) Install HTC Audio Manager.
3) Install HTC Audio Mgr Today Plug-in.
4) Install Touch flo(Alpha).cab
5) Install JT ButtonFlo.cab
6) Map Touch Flo pgm to one of the buttons - I chose the O2 Media Plus button.
7) Soft-reset.
PART 2 - Customizing Your Cube using Touch Settings!
Step 1: Install Touch settings V1.22.cab, then soft reset.
Step 2: Go to windows\startup and delete file called "Mediahubmini"
Step 3: Soft reset (I don't think it's neccesary though, but i do perform
this step.
Step 4: OH YES! Also install the missing ICON files for the APLauncher - AL_xx_Touch.zip into a separate directory (eg. \Touch).
Step 5: Copy the same ICON files(from Step4) into \Windows. (these files were missing in Part1).
Step6 - Soft-reset and you should see everything working!
CHECKLIST ON HOW TO AVOID BLACKSCREEN AFTER YOU INSTALL THIS APPS
1) Make sure that you have HTC Home, HTC Audio Mgr & Plugin installed and activated in Today settings.
2) Make sure you install all the missing AP_xx_Touch.zip ICON files.
3) If you have Touch Settings program installed -
a) Make sure you DELETE MediaHubMini.lnk from \Windows\Startup &
b) Start Touch Settings and click SAVE to save the settings once after missing icons are installed.
Once you have Steps 1-3 done properly, just do a SOFT-RESET and the cube should be working.
NOTE: Below is a photo of Touch Settings V1.22.

TOUCHSCREEN ACTIVATION FOR TOUCH CUBE
Thanks to efrost's FTouchFlo (Alpha 3 version) with application launcher function, I can now use my finger to 'activate' the cube without using button!
For efrost's program FTouchFlo, please refer to his posting and donate if you're happy with his contribution! Here's the link - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334965
Pre-requisite - you MUST have a working Touch Cube on yr ATOM.
Step 1 - Install efrost's FTouchFlo ( and follow his instructions to calibrate and then try making sure u can scroll).
Step 2 - Replace the default FTouchflo config file under /Program Files/FTouchFlo_a3/FTouchFloConfig.txt with the one I've posted here.
Step 3 - Restart FTouchFlo - under Programs, select Start FTouchFlo and then u try to test the scrolling.
Step 4 - You're ready to test the activation -
a) You must first put Ftouchflo into launcher mode (IMPORTANT STEP) - swipe your finger from down-to-up-and-down again in one swift motion. (you will hear a *beep* on your PDA to let you know that you've toggled into launcher mode.
b) Just swipe your finger from LEFT to RIGHT and then it will automatically launch the cube on your screen!
Step 5 - Once the cube is on yr screen, you can then continue to swipe from LEFT to RIGHT and be able to turn the cube.
TO ENSURE RESPONSIVENESS IN YOUR DEVICE
To ensure responsiveness in your device, do not specify too many applications to launch using gestures - I've modified FTouchFloConfig.txt to only launch the cube.
The touchscreen functionality for this Touch cube will improve as efrost improves his program!

Installation steps I used to get Touch Cube working.
Here are the steps I used:-

Everything should work beautifully when you press the button for the old O2 Media Plus ( which has now been mapped to Touch Flo program).
Everything in the Touch Flo Cube should work.
And I believe there's also a Touch Flo Cube Customizer program available. I will try to repost it here if I find it working well.
I'm hoping someone will get the touchscreen interface working so that we can swipe and activate the cube using our fingers or stylus! Thats what I'm waiting for!

Phone goes missing / Touch Settings V1.22 not working on this Touch Cube yet.
PROBLEM #1
I notice that my Phone button is missing from the HTC Home Plugin after I installed this Touch Cube. So instead of 6 buttons on the Home Plugin, I'm only left with 5 button!
Luckily the Touch Cube (using buttonflo) works and I can put my 9 favorite contacts in the contact page on the cube
When I reinstall Home Plugin again and reset, the 6buttons comes back, but my Touch Cube blanks out Then when I reinstall Touch Cube again, my Home Plugin is missing the Phone button...Oh well...
PROBLEM#2
Also, when I install Touch Settings V1.22, my Touch Cube blanks out when I try to launch it.
Tried installing Touch Settings before Touch Cube and vice-versa, but that didnt help either
If anyone can get Touch Settings V1.22 working with this Touch Cube, please post your files and installation instructions. THanks.
this touchflo is still on demo version, alot of programs have conflict here.

You must have HTC Audio Mgr and HTC Audio Mgr Plugin installed and also HTC Home Plugin running first.
Then install Touch Flo(alpha).cab and lastly the JTButtonFlo.cab file. Map a O2 Atom button to Touch Flo and then do a soft-reset.
After that, it should work.
Followed the instructions and still got blackscreen'd. Verified that the music manager plugin was running as well.
Is it possible that this program can be affected by the presence of HTC Today?
Also, where do you install it in? Both installing in Device Rom caused a blackscreen. Installing in ExtROM had no effect (pressing the button that runs TouchCube does nothing).

No no no, Riden, this is NOT Byka's program. If you install it, it says Bepe and someone else, NOT Byka. I have used Byka's rendition before, abliet for just 3 days - this one does NOT require Flash, unlike Bykas, leading me to think it IS the original, ripped, Touchflo cab that I'd seen around here some time ago.

Rom Selection Guide:
There are so many ROMs on my thread that the new comers can hardly find which one fit their needs. This section will describe each ROM concisely and state my suggestion.
->If you want a stable ROM with Chinese support:
The main series of "clean and stable" ROM will fit you best. This ROM is also well supported by me and the stability is evaluated by time. I recommend you the b221 ROM.
->If you want to try something new and bleeding edge versions
The WP 6.5 series ROM fit you best.
->If you want to try Manila 2D enabled ROM:
There are 2 versions: Jade version and Besfen version. I do not support the Jade version very well due to time limitation. Besfen version is newer and supported by him. I think you can try Besfen's version first.
->If you want to make your own customization:
Try my kitchen. It is supported by me and you can ask questions about it.
->If you want ROMs of other languages:
There are CHS, CHT, GER versions.But they are unsupported and a little old. The stability is OK.
->If you want Atom ROM:
THere are Atom-R2 Rom here. But it is not supported. You can try it.
HP6828 Clean and Stable WM6.1 WWE rom:
The rom have Jade's kernel and kaiser's system as the base. The pagepool is 6M for stability as well as performance.

HP 6828 Clean and Stable WWE ROM:
Features of this rom :
1. Almost the same as the MS's Emulator's stable ROM.
2. Add some of O2 and HP's OEM apps like camera and wireless manager.
3. The HP's driver mixed with other enhancement.
Known bugs of this rom :
1. The Bluetooth PAN is not working at all. I include Bluetooth DUN support as a workaround.
2. In a very very rare case wi-fi will be on after reset.
3. Battery life is slightly shorter but better performance. A patch is needed to get longer battery life. (Download patch from the second thread or use Schap's Advanced Configuration tool).
4. The sound volume is a little low. SRS WOW HD will increase the volume dramatically.
5. The Bluetooth A2DP auto connection is working but one need to turn the device's BT on first then headset's or it will not work.
6. MMS program can not capture pictures and video.
7. Ipaq audio's headset ability will be disabled when powered off then on. Click on the slide will activate it.
8. Can not copy SMS to SIM card.(Thanks whtwww for notifying me the bug)
9. The screen may shift after flashing the ROM. Workaround: Do a soft reset on the welcome screen and then recalibrate the screen.
10. Bluetooth problem in WM 6.5 ROMs.
Update 20: 20081012,b189
1. SYS: Brand new 19971 system bringing many new changes from M$'s newer stable system. Visible changes are "close icon", "alarm setting", "menu font size". There are also many internal changes.
2. SYS: Memory management imporved.
3. OEM: Bluetooth BPP removed. As it consume memory and ROM space but not useful.

1. SYS: Re-porting the 19971 XIP. It will be more stable. The shifted screen problem seems to be fixed. Memory will go down slower overtime. (This is a minor update without registry. You can restore backup from previous update)

How to flash using SD Card(Recommended):
Extract diskimg.nb0 to a sd card (<1G is better), insert it into 6828, press&hold 2 soft key(-) and reset. After a while, it will be in PBL mode, wait 15-20min, it will hard reset itself and flash done. The first boot time is very long so be patient , you may click the screen so that the device will not auto-off.
How to flash from PC with Windows XP (It is ok to run it in vmware)
Thanks Knave and rcperez for posting their detailed experience so I can write this section. Also thanks jimmyspa for improving the addheader's performance greatly.
1. Check your Boat loader version
(do a soft reset, and check the value printed at the bottom during the HP logo screen)
2. If you noticed that the last line states BL 1.00.05, it means you have boat loader 1.05 installed. You will need to download and flash your phone back to 1.01 via ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp34001-34500/sp34053.exe (VERY DANGEROUS, FLASHING VIA SD IS MUCH SAFER!)
3. After successfully downgraded your phone's boatloader, or your version was already v1.01, you can proceed to flash your phone to the rom.
With the check done, proceed with the required files.
1. Go to download section to download the rom file.
2. Download the file pcupdate.zip attached in this thread and unzip the contents to the same folder you used in step 1.
3. Download the latest Rom file and extract to the same folder
4. Run BuffereAddHeader.bat. It will take seconds to generate a diskimage_Ver.nb0. (You should have Java Runtime > 1.50 installed, http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp)
5. Move your phone to boatloader mode ( press the two - keys, follow by a poke at the soft reset hole with your stylus )
6. Connect the phone to the PC
7. Execute the Device Utility Update program and wait till it verifies the state. Click on Update Item "All" use cursor keys to change it to "OS ONLY" then hit next **** SELECT "OS ONLY", if you cant change it to "OS ONLY" DONT PROCEED!!! It should detect your device as Model 0 etc.
8. Press Next to begin flashing.
9. Once completed, the phone will reset by itself. Wait for a while for it to startup.

PC flashing using BL1.0.1 must be done from C:\Windows\Temp, so why not start everthing from this folder ie PCUpdate + ROM + missing file(s).

2. run it and after entering the updating screen cancel it.
3. replace the hpRUU.exe in c:\IPAQ(default install) with the attached file hpRUU.exe in archive hpRUU.zip
4. Connect device to PC, then press and hold two "-" button and reset.
5. Run hpRUU.exe and do a normal update.
Note: you may delete eboot*.nbf to prevent bricking the device.
How to downgrade to WM5 using SD Card

How to recover from semi-brick state:
1. Prepare a sd card with proper diskimg.nb0.
2. Pull out the batter for a few minutes.
3. Press and hold two "-" button and at the same time, put the battery in.
4. Wait a few second and release the button, then after a while, the device will be in bootloader mode.
How to use kitchens (NEW writen by besfen):
Req: .NET2.0+
1. Download Kitchen Tools and extract it.
2. If you have diskimg.nb0 file that you want to modified, copy it to the TOOLS directory and ROM directory.
3. In "cmd", "cd" to the TOOLS directory.
4. Run prepare_imgfs.exe diskimg.nb0, it will dump the .nb0 file.
5. Run viewimgfs.exe imgfs_raw_data.bin, it will make dump folder in the TOOlS directory.
6. Run pkgtools.exe, select the dump folder and build package, it will make 2 folder, SYS and OEM.
7. Sometime some files don't move to that folder, you can open missing.txt file to know where the location of that file, move the files to the location said in the missing.txt. Finally, there isn 't files in the dump folder, all file are in the SYS and OEM. Delete missing.txt and OS.bat in OEM folder. SYS is M$ related, OEM is oem added things.
8. Replace the original SYS and OEM folder in the kitchen with new extracted ones.
User can change the OEM at will except the OEMDriver folder. I have modified it many times to get it stable on new ROM.
To add a new OEM Software, you need:
1. Extract the cab file of the app, you can use wincab manager to do this.
2. Put the extracted files to the new folder in the OEM. The folder name don't contain space, you can use _ (underscore).
3. Type the registry in the one of .rgu file. There are many .rgu file there, you can edit it with notepad. if you finish save as, choose all file and unicode type, but don't change the name of that .rgu file.
4. Make a shortcut, open initflash.dat file with notepad, the location is in the OEM_lang folder, type the shortcut name. You can read the existing shortcut in that file to know how to do it. Remember to make the shortcut file first in the folder of each app.
After that, just run build.bat file in the kitchen directory, follow the instruction and your ROM already created in the FLASH FOLDER.

First, the wifi light is working on my 6828. The camera flash light do not work though.
Second, I have ALREADY cut the 12 byte header, so it is safe to flash using a SD card. I said that if you need to flash using RUU you need to ADD 12 BYTE.

I ve flash this ROM today. It took about 15 minutes. Very good and clean ROM. Everything works perfect, Bluetooth stereo working nice, JAVA midlet also okay, camera works good with flash automatically light during photography. High memory after install 70 applications still got 42MB internal memory left. Hmmm....what else to comment...nothing , all perfect

I've splatted my 6815 with this ROM today, and thankfully it works a treat! It takes a while for its first boot but then I started to breath again when it came up.
The camera doesn't work at all though. The program loads but errors with "failed to get jpeg stream" or similar when clicking the cam's hw button. However that's a small sacrifice to pay when the pay off is WM6, that HP can't be bothered to provide.

6815 may need a patch to get camera working. You may need to search around.
I do not have a 6815, so I will not embed it in this rom.

I haven't find any solution in the bugs in "bad section". So maybe I will not do minor update to this rom. Also, it will, maybe, save your time updating something worthless.
What about 6.1:
Due to the reason that 6.1 haven't been official released, I do not have a strong will to make a unstable rom.
I will release a 6.1 rom if it is stable and no clean one have released.

No, NEVER TRY TO UPDATE IT WITH CARD MORE THAN 1GB!!
It will almost surely brick(not badly) your device that causes some unnecessary trouble. After that you can still flash again.
So there are 10(!) choices for you:
01.Buy a 256m or 512m card.
11.Add 12 byte header and flash using RUU.
10.Simply do not update

Too late! I used my 2gb card yesterday (after a clean FAT format) and it worked fine.

nice looking rom. only problem i can see immediatly is the hardware keyboard is only giving numbers no letters. will keep testing along with throttle .91
Looks nice. The problem I also see is with the hardware keyboard 20 keys version. The 16 keys version will work with the modified cabs I made of Gullum's diamond keyboard. I haven't found a solution for the 20 keys version yet, but let's hope Gullum did.
i tried the orginal version of these cabs on a different rom but was only getting numbers then will try them again when i get chance. UK orange 16 key version

Is it the dahpd.kdb that makes the hardware keyboard work? for danish in this case
I'm kind of lost because I'm using my girlfriends dual for making this rom for a limeted time period
yeah that is one thing the other is that I left some registry keys out of the diamond keys cab. You can check the edited cabs in this post or in my 4shared folder.

Hi Gullum thanx for your work.
I just installed your rom,here are some quick findings before I go to sleep:
- I miss the connection setup wizard. Running it from the settings => connections menu gives an error. Running it from the windows dir gives me the same error.
With other roms it did initialize it after first start up. So now I don't have an internet connection so I can't figure out if the syncing and everything with internet works.
- UC is working great. It did it right after the normal setup without having to restart. Which it has when doing it manually.
- Hardware keypad doesn't work maybe you want to have a look at the edited cabs I made of your version and put these in. See my previous post
- There is no battery icon in the top bar only when you click on the time you see some status. It also isn't in the balloon thingy off the top bar.
Thats it for now. I will install another rom because I can't use my phone really without internet (calendar and contacts on exchange server) and I'm to lazy to set the internet connection up by hand
Thanx for the hard work and I'm looking forward to another test version.

what files do you need to add polish version? there is polish rom for dual available already with WM6.0 so maybe there is a way to add some files from it?

I've have changed the RGU file so you can compare it with the original. What I basically did is:
- remove the Diamond keypad clsid registry keys (it seems like the Touch Keypad is somehow connected to the hardware keypad)
- changed the IME kdbfiles reg keys
- replaced the both the eT9.Nike.20Keys.0409.kmap.txt and eT9.Nike.20Keys.kmap.txt file with an empty file.
This works for the 16 keys version but the 20 keys version is not happy with replacing the txt files for an empty file. You could try the steps above without replacing the txt files or expirimenting a bit with the text files, but when making the cab it didn't work for me. Good luck.

The files for a Polish version I already added in my edited version of the Diamond keyboard so if you want to add the files you can find them in my post otherwise you can also have a look at my normal XT9 cabs for Dual.

ok, I missunderstand one thing and thought that this ROM is multilanguage so it is possible to have polish version of Rom not only XT9. shame on me
Bugs I've found:
1. start > settings > there is "Keypad QuickTasks" name visible without icon and I can't click it
2. start > settings > Network Config Wizard - there is an icon but without a name and when i clik on it an error pops up.

For Polish version I already have the Kaiser Polish WM6.1 but the problem I'm having is the initflashfiles.dat only has numbers for the links and folder I will try to add more language suport to these roms but it needs more work to port then the othere languages... but my coffie roms for Prophet also had Polish and Russian .
It's only the Kayboard that has suport for polish not a full rom yet but I am working on adding more versions. Good new are that when I've done it for one device it can be used for all devices I will suport... meaning I only have to do it once

Thanks for the info I'm shure this will help me in fixing the Hardware keyboard problem.
I tried putting the original kayboard back in and I still only get numbers from Keyboard so I must be misssing some reg somewhere I will hunt it down

That's my fault didn't try taking a pic before uploading I tried using the same cam as I used for Kaiser that has 3Mpx but it's fixed now

very nicely done. What program were you using in the first video to control your device with your pc? I've used several. Some I like more than others but they all have their faults/lack of capability.

I was just using an Windows Emulator from Visual Studio.
but if you want a desktop app to control the screen of your winmo device; you can use My Mobiler. It's very very free!
Nice job seeing the videos, what about making it for HVGA aswell, tried it with hope but no luck on my HD mini

That registry key tells the start menu engine to use a "custom" .cpr layout for the Start menu. The normal filename of for the start menu layout is StartMenu_GridScene_480x800.cpr , but if you have the registry key enabled, then windows looks for StartMenuCust_480x800.cpr . HTC does this by default in their stock ROMs, in order for windows to load their custom .cpr files. A pure windows ROM will look for a StartMenu_GridScene_480x800.cpr for example.
Some chefs choose not to mess with that and just StartMenuCust_480x800.cpr gets used. *I* for example, take that key out in my ROMs and I use StartMenu_GridScene_480x800.cpr . So you just have to account for both All you have to do is look for the registry key and if it's not there, then it's safe to say StartMenu_GridScene_480x800.cpr is the layout used.

I got it working on my European HD2 (Factory ROM) by editing the registry value - as mentioned in an earlier post in this thread. As suggested I changed the registry key HKLM\Security\Shell\StartMenu] "CustomGridForm" to say "StartMenuCust" instead of "StartMenuCust". after a soft reset the program worked.
