You should try searching for this in the Development and Hacking Thread on the main page of XDA-Developers.
Just for the fact that they have plenty of posts on your topic and all of your questions will be answered better there. You should check it out. They have some great stuff there.

www.mcdeb.com - the creator of the themes on this site are fab!! I've been using hers pretty much non stop for 3 months now. Some really good designs, and as I've read somewhere before, she seems to be one of the few designers who realise that there is text at the top of the window and we don't want clutter up there as well.

Sorry, I posted this in the General section first, not thinking. So, I will now post it here and hopefully get someone to help me.
I am new to Sense and still pretty new to Android itself with the Atrix 4G being my first Android phone. I originally came from iOS. I do not really like the stock look of Sense and have't seen any that I truely would like to look at everyday. How do I go about creating my own theme/skin? Is there just a program I need to download or are there certain files that I need to edit? Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
Yeah it's always a little rough in XDA about posting in the right section. You'll get the hang of it soon enough.
Anyway, take a look here: Install these as regular APKs and then check them out in the Skins part of the Personalize Menu.

If you want to theme it further, you can unzip the APK and take a look around there. The images are in there.

Hi all! I'm new to the forums, but wanted to say how excited I am to be here. Such talent and knowledge in one place... truly remarkable...
NOW.. on to my proposal....
First, I'm NOT a developer or computer genious... just a tech fan that loves the DNA and all it has to offer.. thanks to all the talented developers here on this forum. I'm currently enjoying the Venome 1.1.3 ROM and cannot believe the customality built in! Truly Amazing!
Anyway... I'm a big STAR TREK fan from waaaaaaaayyyyy back... and truly loved what JJ did with the new timeline. To that end.. I've taken the movie... fram by frame.. and pulled out a ton of screen shots that one of you gifted souls could no doubt whip into one h--- of a them for our DNAs...
Currently, I just set as wallpaper, etc... but have NOT attempted to venture beyond my skill set to make this happen. So... if anyone is up to the task, let me know and I will provide a link to all the screen shots...
I assume the pics need to be converted to PNG ... if not, just let me know and I'll convert, upload, and provide link...
One request... if you take on this project... and I don't know if this is even possible.. but it would be super cool if select number of screenshots would auto rotate....

I am looking for colored world map images. I remember seeing somebody post it on one of the forums but i don't remember which one. All i can recall is... this members had posted around 5-6 world map images in different colors.
Can somebody please lead me there.

IS THIS A STRICK ON TOPIC STUFFY THREAD? Hell no.I want this thread to run a like every "favorite" thread I have been involved in. Light humor is not only permitted.. but encouraged. Trust me ... you will need humor as a stress relief for this stress relieving hobby.
So ... if your in ... tell your wives/husbands, boyfriend/girlfriend goodbye .. this will soon become an obsession. You will want to do nothing but make every app you see "purty". Trust me .. my wife hates my phone. "Why can't you just leave it alone dammit".
