Broadcom Bluetooth Stack for Mogul - Mogul, XV6800 ROM Development

I was wondering if anyone had found a way to update the crappy MS Bluetooth stack on the Mogul to the Broadcom one? I am having a lot of trouble with the bluetooth after updating to the 3.35 ROM. It keeps shutting off and it didn't on the 3.09 ROM I had before. I thought that maybe getting rid of the MS stack in favor of the Broadcom one might do the trick. Does anyone know if this is possible? I have tried several different .cab files, one for the Dell Axiom and one for the Hermes, but neither have worked right. I have also tried all of the bluetooth registry tweaks I could find and nothing helps. ANY help on this topic would be greatly appreciated!

Has there been a solution to this? The BT shutting off randomly is driving me nuts.

First time and 2 questions...

I just got my XDA II and loving it. This is my first post here, I've been looking for a great XDA site and now I found one.
First question is, how do you guys find all those ROM updates and Radio Stack upgrade? I have 1.60.00WWE and Radio version 1.08.00. Is there a new rom upgrade out there that I can't find in myxda.com site?
Second question, could I replace the Microsoft Bluetooth stack so I can use my bluetooth headset to listen to music or videos?
Thank you for your time,
Eberhard
I can answer the second question, the bluetooth on the xda2 does not allow listening to music through bluetooth headset neither has the full handsfree/headset profile been implemented. A very clever person has however written a program called pocket bluetooth tools which go some way to addressing some of the shortcoming regarding serial port profiles. Some of the later roms however have negated the need for this program. Run a search on this forum for "bluetooth", make sure you have an hour or two to spare.

Thanks for all the tips you guys given me. I tried bluetooth stack and so far it works.
As for the hack on the bluetooth, I'm going to try it now.
But it still don't fulfill my satisfaction as I can't listen to music thru my bluetooth headset, at least not with bluetooth tools.
Thanks again, I hope this bluetooth hack will solve my needs to listen to music over my headset.
what hack are you guys talking about ??
i ve installed widcomm stack and the kai patch. when the widcomm manager connects to the headset it gives beeping sounds but after i answer the beeps there is no sound on my imate or the headset..
what hack are you guys talking about ??
Well, I tried the Widcomm BT tools and the darn thing don't work. 2 Bluetooth Icon Appeared on the bottom and I tried to connect my Headset and it doesn't want to stay connected when I hit the connect button. It would sound on but then it turns off and I can't answer a call with it.
Does Widcomm BT has to be installed with the Bluetooth Tools?

Help!!! I need help to keep GPRS allways on with my XDAIIs

Can anyone help on a resolution to keep the new XDA IIs units gprs radio allways on? I tried GB Tweak, SPB GPRS Monitor, but when the unit goes off so does the gprs. The bluetooth issue was fixed by going off by the newest i-mateā„¢ PDA2k patch. This seems to be another issue with the gprs radio going off when the unit turns off. If anyone can help in this issue it would be greatly appreaciated. By the way do not install GB tweak on XDA IIs because it jacks up the audio and you have to restore or hardboot to fix that issue.
Thanks,
Mike

I'm going nuts!!!! BT problems

Hi
i have been trying to figure out the blue tooth wizards for 4 hours on my m1000.
I recently purchased a polstar BT gps device and am trying to get it to talk to my m1000. I just upgraded to wm2003se hopging that that would sort out the blue tooth problems but have been doing research and am told i need a widcom bt stack, where and how do i get this? Thanks

i've now managed to install the wincom stack but for some reason it does not let me connect to my polstar gps using it as a SPP, the reason why i think is because it needs a pass key but the wizard does not ask for one, can anyone recommend a stack that works with gps recievers thanks.
may be this might help http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=14747&highlight=
......by the way have u tried the toshiba bluetooth stack ??
the toshiba one was the first one i tried comes up with the error "An error occurred with the Bluetooth Card. Confirm that the card is working properly" Anyone running a cheapo gps off ebay what stack are you using? Thanks.

Updating the BT stack in various ROM's

How hard is it to update the BT stack in our phones? Is it a function of the ROM or can one update it themselves? I am using Energy's 21889 WM6.5 Phoenix ROM on my unlocked ATT Fuze and the BT stack in it is no working for me....
Bottom-line is my VW, needs an RSAP compatible BT stack in order to sink my contacts with the NAV unit. Of the four phones I have tried running WM, none have worked and the VW forums indicate it is the Microsoft BT stack giving me issue. Now I have no clue what stack I need, but depending on what it takes t change them out I might be willing to try different ones.

[Q] Microsoft bluetooth stack Rom

Do any of the custom rom's include the microsoft bluetooth stack instead of the widcomm htc version.
Thanks
That's exactly what I was searching for when I found this disappointingly empty thread. I'll keep searching...
It has NOT been done! And I'm almost sure that it woun't be!
