I have seen this asked a few times but I cannot find an answer. Does anyone know if there is a way to disable AMR-HR in the 3125? Google says that there are Motorola fixes but nothing on the Windows Mobile or HTC front.
It would really help me. If I can find an answer I think that I am going to have to switch back to my other phone...which is a shame because I really love this one. Especially with WM 6.1.
thanks,
cj

I'm sorry, sure you get threads like this a lot from newbies like me, but I am getting a bit confused and there is such a wealth of information that it's all going over my head.
I have some questions that I am sure plenty of you could answer.
I have recently purchased a T-Mobile HTC Touch Plus, I unlocked it using Oli's unlocker.
I have since tried to install the 3 UK .cab file because that is the SIM I have and I want to use the internet/send MMS etc - I use an installer I found through searching this forum and it said that it installed, I have turned the phone on and off and still the MMS wont send - it says it can't connect - have I done something wrong, not done something? How can I sort this out?
Further to this - how do I debrand the phone so the T-Mobile buttons/options are gone? Oli told me it was something to do with ROMs but I don't really understand - what are ROMs? What do they do? How do I install them? And finally, why are there so many, are they different and in what way?
Last thing, is there anything else I should do? Any recommendations?
Thanks so very much, I know there is a lot to answer but I do appreciate it!
thought someone would have responded by now - have a butchers here http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Niki - this will answer most of your questions - in regards to debranding not much to debrand really apart fromt the today screen this can be done by tapping start/ (personal tab) today/ (items tab) and deselecting the t- mobile box, in my case it was orange, and select htc home, hope this helps
Hello All,
HTC Touch Pro
---------------------------
U S Cellular
ROM - 1.08.573.1
Radio - 1.07.06F
Very new to smartphoning. Have spent the last few days trying to get VOIP enabled on this HTC Touch Pro phone. At this point I am guessing some how U S Cellular has disabled the ability to do 'Internet Calling' with the stock ROM. I have downloaded every voip related .cab ,reading through each tutorial and just never end up with the 'Internet Calling' tab showing under the >settings> Phone category.
I have searched here but simply can not find a definative answer for this.
Could someone that possibly has an usc Touch pro give me a link or a walk through on how to enable voip on this phone. I would guess I am going to have to drop a new ROM on to it,at this point?
BTW: I have installed both fring and agephone( with no luck there),but would like to get back to the native WinMo 6.1 voip setup if possible.
Thanks in advance
Barry
Smartphoning? First time I have ever heard that one... ahhh kids these days
All joking aside, you may want to try to get rid of your stock rom. There are a few threads in this site about VOiP and how some users have managed to get it working. Having said that, more than likely you will have to get rid of your current stock rom.
egzthunder,
Thanks for the feedback. I was hoping someone might post up what ROM they used,,IF in fact voip is actually possible on the uscc cdma phone? I see so many voip *almost* works posts ,but have never really read A post were someone is actually using voip on TP,on a daily basis?,,,.

Not for me but my son, bless him, is an Iphone fan and has managed to lose it and is devastated (teenagers ). Until it's replaced I have a spare M600 lying about and I guessed I could try and meet him part of the way by loading an Iphone styled ROM onto it. Does one exist for the G4 and where would I go about getting it. Tried the search utility and a fair bit of reading but was unsuccessful. Thanks in advance.

Yes, its an application that make your phone look like an iPhone. I must search it in my PC firist and I will be back with a post.
hey, found your thread and I´m interested too in that iphone style rom.
have you found it on your local pc ?
can´t see your response but hope you have it
regards
Hi, try vito's Winterface. It looks like Iphone, and works perfectly on Prophet devices. It also have many skins to change icon apperance.
I would like to install android to my t-mobile US htc hd2. I would like to somebody to help me by remotely connecting to my computer and help me do this.
I hate windows 6.5 it is freezing and texting is freezing. I really like to use android all the time.
I would like to pay for this service not much but something.
Anybody interested please contact me thru the forum private message or in this top.
I'm sorry if I'm violation forum rules but i need help. I couldn't figure out after 4 hours reading. thank you.
My advice to you, sell your Windows Mobile device, and buy a naitive Android device. Then you will have Android as it was designed, there are still bugs with the Android port on the HD2.
I see thank you for your answer. I will try that.
from waht you have said i'm convinced you have a stock rom which, to be honest, is a pretty sucky choice. The HTC stock roms all have bugs but i seem to find that the custom roms have fewer (i know it sounds mad, may be it's just me) Before you sell your HD2 try customising it a little bit. There is plenty of help available if you wish to look at this. I would even freely admitt there are people out ther that i have helped over MSN and they are all now very happy HD2 users.
Pm me if your interested but please remember i am quite frequently busy and i live in the UK.
I looked and looked but couldn't find a thread on this (perhaps not hard enough), but I've just recently become aware to the fact of HTC may have made a version of the HD2 with a sliding keyboard. Did they go through with this or was it just an idea that evaporated and we haven't really heard much since?
I can't post a link, just search "Leo-S" in Google to see what I'm talking about.
Many thanks for the following answers!
what are you smoking over there?
The Leo-s was an unsubstantiated rumour based on some registry keys that were found that would allow for it but with HTC now developing WP7 i wouldn't read anything into it
@Lude - Apparently something that messes with my grammer , just noticed it wasn't that great.
@M3PH - Thanks for that update. I couldn't find anything that said this was just a rumor. It's a nice idea though.
