I own 2 pet T-Rex, that I walk everyday while listening to MP3's on my Athena with AP4 beta ROM. When the T's mate I'll send both you guys one each. In other words if you guys have nothing really constructive to say just keep it hush hush. It's no myth because it's not released yet, and I'm sure you don't want the team to just putout anything crappy, especially after all you've anticipated.

@rory => AP4 is not what you suggest, but Thomas did not need to touch the nail prints or put his hand into the side where the spear had gone. He simply fell to his knees and believed.
What I can't beleive is that you (collectively) would even think to bring doubting Thomas into this arena. Perhaps you are sincere in your faith, but this is a cell phone and a new ROM were on about. It may seem like eternity waiting for the official release, but on the grand scheme of things, this is a vapour, which appears for a short time then is gone. (enough for this line of discussion for now, I hope)

I do not know what is happening :O Since 2 months I am looking for this AP 4 .
The worst thing with the AP 3 is that the alarm is ringing at the past time zones ...as I change them very often...and the problem is westbound as is not nice to wake up at 5 or 6 am cause the ap is nice, but without the basic things

Thanks for all the hard work oli on the Hard-SPL getting it right, does this mean ROM will be released today? If there are other problems please sort them, just curious about what is left to get sorted before release really!

So it all started about 8 months ago, when WM6 first came onto the scene, well not actually because it had not yet hit the streets and I was among the selected few (via this forum) in the world to have it up and working on their devices. I later learned that yet again I had a device that would not be among the chosen to receive the new and updated MS-OS, bummer. (Same with my Qtek 2020 not going to 2003SE and then to WM5)
Like many of out there, I have become a Flash-a-holic. I have flashed just about ANY and EVERY ROM out there for my Prophet at least about 100x's, looking for Ms. Right-ROM, heck I have even heard of others flashing ROMs from OTHER devices! Going back to official WM5s and living with its ugliness and slowness and just plain dullness... waiting.
Whether it is from Vietnam, Thailand or Russia - each and every release either b(this) or b(that) or TOUCH this or that - we are always told of how it is NEW and/or Improved - leading us to believe that we will FINALLY have a NICE and (above all) STABLE WM6 on our Prophet and STOP THE MADNESS, but helas after the proverbial "15 to 30 minutes depending on your CPU Speed" of anticipation we have the same as we did before flashing... same symptoms - I am sure that I don't need to list them here, they are ALL the same and surely directly linked to the fact that the image came from a totally different device (Wizard) and thus there are Incompatibilities.
What do we expect? What is it that we seek? I personally would like to have the most up-to-date OS on my device without the powers that be telling me that it is incompatible (purely a marketing decision) with all of the bells and whistles. I personally like the VoIP feature, which ALSO only works depending upon the flavor you flash to - guess ya can't have it all. Some things work in THIS one and not in THAT one... you all know where I am coming from.
So the quest continues on, Flash this and Flash that - waiting for the ONE that will stop the insatiable urge for more and better.
When will it be?

I frankly thought that this was touch cynical. Yep we’ve had issues, bugs and crashes, but I guess in the end of the day, I loved the feeling of being anew, different, and to an extend personalized…
I’ve tried coupla ROMs till now .4a PDAviet looked good. But I am stuck since coupla weeks on .3a pdaviet ROM… I love it for it’s crispness, speed and STABILITY… The issues I’ve had with these ROM has been worked around( visit http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=308266&page=47 for my workarounds on the issues I faced). One wish though would be the battery drain. In my WM5 my prophet used to last for two day and still gimme 10-15% left. But with this ROM I’ll be very lucky if I could wait to get back home on my second day to charge..
But above all this entire Flash thingi is giving a feeling that I am not tied down any more. I get the familiar feeling of hitting the road on my bike again with wind against my face. I’ll travel wherever I like at my pace at my wish. And I turn to my friends who cook these ROMs for the fuel. I don’t like a particular brand of fuel? I stop over at another bunk. And it’s not the fuel that thrills me but it’s the ride. I’d thank all the ROM cookers for the ride. Great going and wish it'll never stop coz there notheing perfect only perspectives. God bless

Well, even though Jeff pretty much described it all, there are many like myself that no matter how cool or stable a ROM is, will continue to try new stuff on our beloved Prophets just for the fun of it.
Actually I'm flashing the FantasticB4 (with TouchFlo capabilities) on my device even though I was pretty happy with my previous ROM.

I went through the same thing with these WM6 ROM's. I just checked, I started doing that about March. I lost numerous precious sleeping hours and sex life.

Dont fret .. I too flash my life away . I have been easily thru over 1,000 phones since I began using cells. I have flashed , flexed , seem edit , hacked , chracked , modded and just about tried a little of everything to a cell phone thats possible . I have even blew up a few phones just to see how strong they really are. Ran them over with car , truck , bus bike and who even knows. I even tried to flush 1 from an airplane to see what happens but it got stuck ... LOL Then I thought dammm airplanes dont flush into the open air. LOL . So I guess we in the right place ....

We must be thankful, that he shares his work with us. And until this time gullums VII is good enough...it´s a very stable and fast rom.

Now most of the cosmetic stuff has been fixed and I think it's ready but I said when crystal was released that I would release it in about a week
I never set the date to the 10. but it's on the step of release maybe tonight or maybe tomorrow.

okay maybe i went over the line.. iam just a little mad here today as i got called by my mobile service center.. I have had a HTC S710 to service, only 3 weeks old, and now finally after 2 months of waiting, they called me to tell me that it will cost 1200 danish kroner (around 250 US Dollars) to fix it..
I just think this kind of post is uneccesary.. We all have to wait and if we all made this kind a post these forums will be spammed to death.. Gullum will deffinantly make a thread as soon as the rom is completed so lets just wait for that..

Upgrade or no upgrade available on my contract, I'm getting this phone (but I can wait for a non-front camera version for about $200 less than the $904 price it's at right now.)
I'm certainly ready to jump on the Raphael bandwagon, but the details for the 3G radio for us yankees are still questionable. Until I see what the US version is, I'm not getting really excited about it. Other than a RAM/ROM/Processor upgrade, there isn't much of a gain. Also, until this thing gets in the hands of some XDA users, we won't know if they made a similar mistake as they did with the Kaiser in terms of drivers and hardware implementation.

Pretty sure that TouchFlo 3D needs D3D acceleration to work?? The GFX drivers situation should be almost identical to the diamond, so best to take a gander at the diamond forum and see if any issues are apparent?

But let us not forget that HTC's devices from years ago perform better graphically then the Kaiser. Who'd have ever thought THAT would happen (especially considering the vast technological improvements)?!?!
I have been lurking on the Diamond forums keeping an eye on how things play out. We still haven't seen a US-based Diamond variant yet.

Yes McHale but even if that is the case the Touch Pro is running the same chipset as the Diamond (7201A) so people could just make hybrid ROMs incorporating the best of both devices. Next question.
I'm not talking about the video specifically, I'm talking about support and proper implementation of hardware. Believe me, I'm not bashing HTC. I have enough devices I can say I supported them quite a little. I'm saying we haven't seen a US model yet and until I see the model that will work in the states, we don't know how well it will be implemented.

I've done the same mate, the Raphael should arrive just before we fly off to Florida (hopefully) gives me plenty of time to work on some Roms whilst away (and a new toy to play with on the plane)
Stocks for pre-orders are running a bit low on most UK sites now though, so be quick if you do want one. Expansys did me one for £460 with case and cables TV Out etc. I imagine prices will rise slightly after release and demand will be pretty high. The Uni finally gets chance to have a rest in the Bottom-Drawer Beasty PDA vault.

No the 28th is not the release date, It's when "I" get my Baby.
i so happy that i see some of my fav devs getting ready for my new HTC!!.
i was hoping to stay with the original Rom at least 6 months but i dont thing this will happen with u all!!

First i want to say thanks again to everyone who has supported me since my device got dropped . Second a couple of people have donated but did post their confirmation number, if you are one of these people, please let me know so i can thank you personally.
Well i am pleased to announce that with your help i have reached my goal and that i just purchesed my device and should recieve it some time next week, and with time permitting i will come out with a minior update to my last rom and then later a new rom. so thanks again

I would not worry about the folks that did not tell you who they were when they donated. You have a lot of people that are willing to help but do not want the publicity and would prefer to remain anonymous for many reasons. Glad to hear you are getting another device.

im not going to lie i think thats going to be a sweet device, my only problem is the 800x480.....

What do mean? Are you, by any chance, going to escape to some other device (hehe)?
If so, I would be glad to here that it is going to be X7510, but this resolution?... is not there.

What is the problem with that resolution ? I thought that was actually good. Considering it might mean I don't need REALVGA any more....

I was talking about some app that might not work with the 800x480 i had the hw6515 before the athena and i hated the 240x240 display. as there were a lot of apps that it did not work with back then they have gotten better now but.... maybe its just me
