Hermes Charging issue ( wouldn't charge full) - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam Software Upgradin

Hi
I picked up the extended battery for my Hermes 100 (running 19701.1.1.0 PV DVH (G&C) with 1.54.30.10 radio) since I was not happy about the OEM battery life.
Now I am facing this problem of the batteries not fully charging. Even after overnight charging my phone would be showing 50% (I use battery status) If I reset the phone now with charger connected, would show 80% charge. If I remove the battery for a minute and put it back on then OEM battery would show 100% charge and the extended battery would show 90%.
I've tried charging the extended battery with the phone off for 18 hrs but the light never turned green.
Can some one help me with this my batteries are also draining very fast compared to my old prophet by 8 hrs of regular usage I am down to 10% (with backlight on minimum, and 3G turned off) . Could some one gimme the tips to get over the charging issue and conserve battery power? Thanks in advance

[Q] Extended Battery Monitoring and Detection Dell Streak:(

Hi
I am contacting you as the last hope to have something worked on for my streak regarding the extended battery not getting detected. I have tried all the calibration apps but still no luck.
i have recently purchased this battery and there are issue i am facing regarding the battery mostly regarding the reporting. its the android 2.2 operating system that is the issue, with the 1.6 android it is working perfectly fine as i have tried it on my friend's streak which is running android 1.6 and on his phone properly detects the battery and reports the battery properly and it is dead when it is reaching 0 % unlike mine which works for 18 to 20 hrs when the stock battery meter shows 1% . The Mugen app doesnt help regarding the calibration as i have used the app and have completed 5 charge cycles of 10 - 12 hrs without break. it is mentioned not to let the battery drain to 0% but since i dont have the readin of the battery i cant say whether it is low or not as the system meter shows 1%
The issue that i am as follows.
1. the system battery meter doesnt show the correct reading.. it shows the battery to be fully charged when the
battery is fully charged tht is at 4211 mv and after i take the charger out and use the battery it shows properly how a normal battery shud decrease and then goes and gets stuck at 1% and in tht 1% the phone will work for 18 to 20 hours..so it wierd as u never know as to when the battery would die and this is wht happenned once the phone suddenly died after being on 1% for 17 hrs
2. no other app works properly cause of this. i have tried using battery left and battery monitor app ( which calculates via voltage ) however what happens is that the app shows a correct reading until the stock meter goes to 1% but once the stock meter reaches 1% the app gets stuck at the reading it showed when the stock meter reached 1%. And if i turn of the phone and take the battery out and put it back in the stock meter shows 50% battery left and the app starts working again and once again when the stock meter reaches 1% the app fails and then again if i take the battery out and put it back in again i get 50% battery on the meter. i have checked on forums and it has been concluded tht this happens when the battery made is not a single battery of 4800 mah but 2 or 3 batteries combined together to appear as 4800 mah.. is that the case with this battery.
3. the third issue is of charging back again... after the stock meter stays stuck at 1% and the phone works for 17 to 18 hrs if i put it back on charging the stock meter still stays stuck at 1% and doesnt move forward at all even though the battery is getting charged...again if i take the battery out and put it back in the battery will show the amount it has been charged.
Any help would be appreciated.

Doesn't charge fully stops at 96% ...

This morning went into battery saver to see the estimate of battery life when I unplug and noticed that the phone stopped charging at 96%. It was charging the whole night. Unplugged. Waited. Plugged it in again but it sat there at 96% and not charging any further.
I noticed the same after updating to latest firmware yesterday (11500). Though I still get more charge than before the update. But the last 4% wont charge for some reason although the battery indicator shows as full when the phone says its fully charged.
Probably not an issue, Samsung often do it on purpose.
I don't believe it's an issue either. At least I do not worry about it. It's just a number that doesn't impact the phones functionality.
I´m spanish, just in case you want to answer to me in castellano . I also had the same issue. When i charged it the second time, it reached 100 %, but full charge capacity lowered to 1380 mAh.
In that ocassion the battery was depleted in 11 hours with a high discharging rate. Strange thing is that today when I charged it for the third time discharge rate is low again, something around 120 mAh and the battery´s life expectancy is back again to normal (27 hours or so).
Anyway, the full capacity is still around 1380 mAh. I say around because the number changes by the day.
Saludos.
Yes, running 11500 and only noticed it today. The other day when I actually checked battery saver in the morning it was at 100% and 1 day 3 hours remaining with 1517 mAh full capacity ... today, as I mentioned, 96% and just 23 hours remaining at 1470 mAh full capacity. It appears that there is still something screwy with the battery. The phone does last longer than before however.
Had similar issues with HTC Desire back in the days when it wouldn't charge to 100% required full discharge or battery recalibration.
Now mine charges up to 100%. It was just the first charge after update that went up to 96% only.
The maximum charge capacity fluctates from time to time. Nothing to worry about it just does that I assume.
What is det estimatet time remaining after charging 100%?
Around 1 day and 15 hours.
I have the same issue! I left the phone charging the whole night, the morging after the battery charge indicator was 100%, but as soon as i un-plug the usb charging cable it fall back to 97%!
I suggest you to use the nokia diagnostic app to see the charging percentage of the battery, in my case is never up 97%. I think It's a WP7 bug...
The bug isn't that big.
I've had mine stuck on 45% for a while, that was really annoying

[Q] Li-Poly battery

Our Xperia S is powered by an li-poly battery and i recently read an article saying it has a life of 250-300 charge cycles..
I was wondering what are this charge cycles ??
Everytime we charge the phone to 90% the default battery app starts a new cycle of recording battery use, is this ONE CYCLE for li-poly battery ?? :silly:
Since i have read this i keep charging my phone between 15 and 95.. I don't let it completely drain nor try to charge it to full, hoping it would help my battery on a longer run
It's probably a very old article.

Battery charging pack - inaccurate reading

I recently purchased the original LG battery charging pack with an included battery.
So i charge the batteries exclusively using the external charger. When the battery level of the phone goes to around 20-30% I swap in the charged battery. Now the problem is, even though the new battery is charged, the percentage is the same as before i switched out the batteries.
So let's say i swap at 33%, the new battery also reads 33% after the boot.
Is there a way to recalibrate the battery meter?
Found the solution:
The battery swap was done too fast, so the phone didn't realize there could be a new battery inside.
I tried again taking out the battery, waiting maybe 20 sec, then rebooted. Now the battery percentage is accurate again!

Battery indicator misalignment with battery stats

Hello all,
I recently got a battery replaced for my poco F1 .
The battery is currently giving me almost 5 hours of screen on time which feels less.
I discharged the phone till it switched off and charged it back to 100% to have it calibrated. Although, after I kept it on standby overnight for almost 5-6 hours, I observed the battery drained to 91% without any significant activity.
I performed some analysis by visiting the battery and performance area but found mismatch in the power consumption here and what the indicator shows.
In the attached image , my battery is down to 1% but the power consumption shows almost 2007 mah consumption i.e., 51%.
Can anyone help in letting know if it's a problem with software or the battery is weak? Because my phone switched just mins after that.
For the latter case, even if it is then shouldn't the consumption show nearly 99% consumption of the battery has less juice?
Is there any way to know if really the battery is weak or a fake?
