Will Neon be able to unlock GPS - Touch Dual, MDA Touch Plus ROM Development

Have read the sticky on Niki GPS problems, but the Neon (the one sold by Best Buy in the US) probably has some type of GPS for 911. Has anyone had a look at whether the Neon GPS can be activated?
I now use it as my primary device and all it is missing for me is gps (although vga would be good)

Do you know the different, betwen A-GPS and GPS? 911-GPS Tracking is different.

When wpa2?? radio experimental?

We are seeing almost every week updates for the tytn like wm6 or aku3.3! But they don't have the wpa2 in wifi settings!!!!!!1
Anyone has a experimental radio that supports wpa2??
I read that a Swedish rom aku3.3 has wpa2! Isn't because of the radio that they are using supports it (that comes with the package)?
The radio part (GSM.nb) controls the Qualcomm 6275 chip which handles mostly GSM/GPRS/3G/WCDMA/HSDPA (and GPS) part of the phone.
Wifi is handled by a complete separate chip from Texas Instruments, so a radio upgrade will not help getting WPA2 on the phone, that's handled by the wifi firmware / drivers / supplicant on OS side.
So we have to wait for a officially OS realase and hope that brings the wpa2 ?

HTC Monet - Lobster - internal gps?

Anyone know if the HTC monet Lobster has an internal GPS chip that is not activated?
The reason why I am asking is I know someone who bought a lobster and can pick up satellites (using gpstest 1.04) and use tomtom, without a gps external receiver.
Lobster Tv with inbuilt gps!!!
Sorry to get you excited, but just installed gps test and nothing on mine. When scanning for gps it switches on bluetooth.so maybe it picked up someone elses? Nice thought though!
Yeah my mate phone does the same, he is positive no need for extra gps receiver.
I will do some more digging and ask him more questions tomorrow.
I actually tested my lobster with his, and mine didnt work.
We check the radio version and the rom version but they were identical.
I am curious to get to the bottom of what is going on.
wow this sounds quite interesting. I will try a GPS pogram tonite on my lobster and give the results 2morrow.
However i seriously doubt the lobster has a GPS chipset built in since the lobster phone is meant to be a budget HTC phone. Virgin sells it for like 40 pounds on pay as you talk tariff.
nope, tried it yesterday and doesnt work. i used GPSTEST 1.04, the same program your mate used and so far no signal from a gps.
Perhaps your friends lobster is probably those early prototype models

question about Ty Tn

Hi every body
Does Htc TyTn ( not II ) support GPS and can I add Navigator Maps ?!!
Gps antenna

Gps antenna
You will need to purchase an antenna to receive satelite info.
Once you link it with your bluetooth enabled phone, your software will work.
I believe ther a some hermes that have a built in gps but if yours did you wouldn't be asking.
look here they start around 60 dollars

ALL Hermes have the chip, unfortunately they don't have the receiver... As stated, you need a bluetooth receiver and the software to run. Don't bother asking for maps as that is commercial software and must be paid for. There are sites out there that you can find these things for free but not here....

TG01 Bluetooth - SAP?

Is the bluetooth on the TG01 SAPpy?
Sadly not, if the SAP you're referring to is SIM ACCESS PROFILE.
My TouchHD had it, yet the TG01 hasn't seemed to implement it.
(SIM Access Profile is also known as 'Remote SIM mode' and is used by carphones and other devices, to access your SIM card over bluetooth, and use it as if it was connected physically to that device)
My carphone is SAP compliant, and on my TouchHD, I would get into the car, press connect, and my handset would go radio-off, and all radio functions would be handled by the carphone, giving me better reception, more powerful transmission etc. When I leave the car, the SIM is 'freed' up for the handset's use, and it comes back to life.
The TG01 doesn't have much in the Bluetooth configuration stakes, and definitely no option for SAP - the TouchHD had pages of stuff on its BT capabilities... strange.
What's the chances of porting a new BT Radio stack into the TG01 any time soon? *ducks the low flying pigs*
Had I bought a Nokia 810 Carphone, it would have worked with Bluetooth Audio, as well as SAP, so no problem, but I was a cheapskate, and got a Nokia 610, which is SAP only. Sigh.
have you tried Jetware? it is a software that gives you more BT profiles

FM Radio

Any speculation as to whether the FM Radio in the AT&T 920 will \ could be enabled. If Nokia gets paid a cut of the Nokia music purchases I can see why they think disabling the FM Radio is a good idea.
Do any of the 920s overseas come without Nokia Music and\or have FM enabled?
This thread doesn't actually say that the rest of the hardware is in the handset (ie the wiring to the headphone jack as antenna for example), so maybe it is simply impossible:

None of the Lumia 920s worldwide have a built in FM radio. So no, there is no way for Nokia to "enable" such a feature since there is no FM antenna to begin with.
At least, the ones distributed in France don't have FM radio either.
WP8 does not support FM radios at the moment so currently I can guarantee you that there are now Lumia 920s which have it working. As for the possibility to enable it later on I can't tell you wether the hardware to use it would be there but it seems this is not really a priority topic for them given there are not that many people who listen to FM radio on their phones.
