- Hard Reset
- Reflashing
- Rerunning the unlocker

Recovered From Stuck on Bootloader & Splash Screen
Hi,
I had the same problem (1st stuck on bootloader- reflashed custom ROM then Stuck On Splash Screen with no GSM) on my SPV M3100 after a failed radio upgrade first it was stuck in bootloader for the longest time while i searched and re-tried uprading the radio rom inbetween using recover tools like mitty.exe and NBHextract but nothing happend until i had a brainstorm i had previosly downloaded an original vendors ROM for the Hermes so i flashed it and Pow Pow Pow - Radio and Software Rom back to normal and working OK!!!

I think the RomUpgradeUt.exe that exists in the wm5 ROMs is not compatible with SPL 2.03.
try this:
Extract the .nbh file from your desired wm5 rom (Rename your ROM from *.exe to *.zip and extract it using winzip).
Flash it to your device using RUUwrapper.exe (Force using SSPL).

It shows no error or something other.
The MDA looks like a WM5 device - But it will stop booting when it shows the first WM5-Picture.
Ok...now it will stop when it shows the "T-Mobile" Splash Screen..
Well....one Softreset later .... i have a white Screen

My Problem: Windows Mobile 5 or 6 doesn't Boot - So i can't use the RUUWrapper....
To enter the "special" BootLoader I need an working WM5 or WM6....

Why Flashing...?
Go to any vodafone store..make your device back to WM6..
say to the guy @ vodafone store that your going on a holiday.. they will give you a key that unlocks the device..
and your done ! ! ! Works for a friend of mine

I don't think, that a vodafone store will give me a unlock-code for a t-mobile device.... :O
And the next Problem is, that de MDA doesn't boot the OS and have the "no gsm" error....

** SECOND : we must know that before we trying to do any updating or change roms on my prophet i just need to do which called unlock for the prophet and then we after that been able to change any rom on my ( jamin ) and of course u need to be careful about Your device is it G4 or G3 ,

-- Sync your device with computer and open the file u download it called HardSpl you will find two files one one foe G3 and G4 open your kind then you'll find a file called (( hardspl.bat )) okay, be sure your device is connected to computer then open the file and follow instruction and it will reset your device ,

What is the IPL and SPL?
If the wiki where up, I'd suggest looking at that, but as it is I'll explain it now...
What ROM where you attempting to upgrade to?
To get the device back, I would say "Read the wiki" but it's down!!!
Download this ROM.
In ActiveSync, disable "connect through USB" (File->Connection Settings).
Put the device into bootloader (the three coloured screen) and connect it to the computer using the USB cable.
Run the file you downloaded earlier. This should then install a new ROM.
From there, just wait for it to finish.
Now, it should work!
From there, you could re install the Orange WM5 ROM, or try upgrading to WM6. Make sure you read all the relevant guides first!

hi again brothers, pal zerocool. first u must unlock ur device to be able to accept any rom after that and solve pproblems.
first flash this rom its offecial and it solve dead prophet problems.
then make hard spl by program open file called hardspl.bat.
make hard reset.
flash ur rom u want.
make hard reset again.
then enjoy.
i uploaded the hardspl program but i couldnt upload the rom its so big so u can look in ur mail u will find the solution.
u can extract file by any program for zip.and tell me the news

Hi guys,
I have been using a sh... Nokia sine I broke my prophet G4 in december by upgrading the OS.
I had downgraded first to NVID and then I tried to upgrade and it fails at 95%.
Sine this day, my prophet seem totally dead, no light when plug on both charger or computer, windows do not recognize at all the device because it is turned off. And it really do not seem to charge...
I am living in China now and a guy told me I had to change the PB board...The ost is 100Euros, but I am almost sure I an find another solution...
The weird thing is I cannot charge it at all ( I mean no lights but does it charge a little?).
The guy tested my prophet with another battery and in that ase, it is stuck on the bootloader.
We tried several roms and it always fails at 95% and the error is 200 something, maybe 245 or 243, I do not remember sorry...
Is my phone hardware is dead? or it is just a software problem and I did not see the right guy?
Do I need to buy a new battery? I have read that sometimes the device is not able to recognize it even if it the offiial one and even if it is working on another device...
PLease help me I don't want to loose this phone that I've been using for almost 3 years...
Otherwise I will switch to an iphone but I am not sure to be as happy than I was with my prophet.

Can it enter bootloader at all?
If yes, what are the IPL and SPL?
If not, it will be a hardware problem (may just be connectors to the battery but may be something more).
the only way of recovery is using jtag
but 1st we must discover the location of jtag pins on motherboard
I just do not know because with my actual battery, anything is possible....
when I tried with the guy and a new battery it was blocked on the bootloader, but don't remember the IPL and SPL...sorry
I may be right about the battery onnectors though, but the problems seem to be from the phone connectors or the battery it self???

If it can enter bootloader, it is almost certainly your battery at fault!
Ok so i burnt my battery during the upgrade...
But why is it still blocking at 95% when he tried to put a rom?
With his battery, it was stuck on the bootloader and not possible to install a rom, even a NVID WM5...

here is the situation i'm in:
i tried to upgrade my HTC Touch Dual with an HTC Touch official ROM ,i prosed with the operation but it did not complete for an error then my phone was stuck on the three colors Screen after that I've reseted the phone ( hard reset ) by pressing the call ,end call ,power and reset buttons all together and here...i realized that i made a disaster because that my phone is not starting and make no response on the screen and it's totally black and when i connect it to the PC ,the indicator light led torn's red!!! and the PC dose not see it i tried to hard reset it again it didn't work.
Please help me ....

Thank's 4 the fast response bro but the problem that is when i flashed the phone with wrong ROM i had the tri color screen but after that i hard reseted the phone as i described above and the phone went died and red lid light indicator on USB cable.

yes i did if it mean's pressing the camera and the reset button together but i learned this method in an HTC Touch thread replay so if it's the same (pressing the camera button and the reset button by the styles) it means that I've also tried it and did not work. and please ,if there is any other way to enter the Bootloader just feel free to tell me about it cuz i think that when i get the tri color screen again i will able to flash the phone with official English ROM of WM 6.1 that I've downloaded from the HTC site unless there is some thing that i don't under stand.

I did use the method (pressing Power+Camera+Reset) and I've got the tri-color screen the PC saw the phone and I've got the "USB" text on the phone screen then i started the ROM upgrade utility then i noticed the text under the tri-color is changing once "Serial" and another "USB" and so on until it stay's on the "Serial" and the upgrade utility show's an "Exit" button ,i press it ---> it exit's!!!.then i just disconnected the phone and reconnected it to the USB the tri-color showed the "USB" text then i started the ROM upgrade utility and got the same results.then i soft reseted the phone by the styles and get back to the same old situation ( black screen and red led on connection) and the phone is not entering the tri-color mode using the same method using the same method u linked me in ur last replay (pressing Power+Camera+Reset)!!!!!!!!

The phone is locked to a particular phone company. You'll need to unlock it first. So, a bit more work needed. Follow this thread. but make sure you read it carefully:

Ok now...here is the situation:
as u advised ,i went to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=395945 and it say's in (1.) that i must have a HardSPL 1.15 MFG installed (i have SPL 1.18 installed) then i went to the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=355730 to get the HardSPL 1.15 MFG and i've found it but here is the problem:
in step (4.) i have to install sspl 1.16 nike.exe by copying it to the phone memory ,but i only managed to enter the tri-color screen and i can not copy any thing in to my phone so who am i gonna install it??? then i saw the other attached files flash-hardspl-niki.zip and flash-splash-niki.zip and all others ,what i get when i start the utility after unzipping the attachment is error in connection and the bar stay's on 0% and start the recovery system....
by the way ...all i see on the tri-color screen is the following:
RUUNBH on the right upper side of the screen.
NIKI 100 ,SPL-1.18.0000 and CPLD-4 on the upper left side of the screen in the red bar.
USB of Serial in the bottom wight bar.

From this point, we know you have SPL 1.18 on board, with a locked ROM to a phone carrier.
Best advise I can think of is to get the official ROM from the carrier and flash that. It will get you back to starting point
After that, copy SSPL 1.16 to phone, and run that on phone, followed by falsh to Hard1.15MFG before trying to unlock the phone.

then, you can know which language rom is suitable to your phone, try to find it.
flash the original rom

you can go to www.htc.com then find suport, use your sn, you can download the original ROM. flash it first, then flash other rom which you need.
Thank u Justsun ,i just solved it by the help of Homerh and now i have the original ROM on my phone and by the way , i did not flashed it ,Homerh teached me how to restore the original ROM on the phone using the mtty and that's it. now i'm looking for a ROM that support Arabic for my HTC Touch Dual ,if u can help me find it ,i'd be pretiated.

I upgrade my rom and now he stucks on de first screen when windows mobile show i do everything i can and i don no what do more
The multi port program give-me this error
Cmd>ls boo.bin
clean up the image temp buffer at 0x8C100000 Length 0x03A00000
BOOTLOAD_PAGE_TABLE_BASE_C_VIRTUAL= 0x8C080000
Clear image temp buffer done .
MTTYDownloadImage
Not allow operation!
Error : DownloadImage return error (code = 0xFFFFFFFF)
Is everything i can do to my gene come back to life???????

Do you already do a SPL unlock?
If yes, just flash with another ROM.
Go to bootloader by press and hold camera then reset, release reset but still hold camera untill tri color appear, connect usb cable to pc then flash again with another ROM.
How thing i have all ready done that?but show-me how i do to see if i done well
When im restarting the pda the information tha show is
onbl 1.07.0000
spl 1.07.0000
gsm 02.71.90
os 1.17.0.0
After that screen goes to windows mobile screen and stuck
But is i do the combinations of the power button and camera i go to the 3 colors screen but when i do a update the program go to 2 % and reset

The information that i have in the begining is
onbl 1.07.0000
spl 1.07.0000
gsm 02.71.90
os 1.17.0.0
When i startup the device i can go to the 3 colors screen but when i tried to
upgrade the rom t when arrive at 2 % the device reset and give-me a error
i don now what i do more please help-me

as per the nos u have posted u have not done HSPL
ur spl should end with .olip or .oref at the end instead of .0000
go to the tut given by Krazy and read many times use the tools and do the needful given in the same section viabhav has also given a tool
chek on both good luck

buddy you are wasting your time .
There is a thread named upgrading ... by krazy as well as a thread by vaibhav named automatic SPL Updater. Just search a bit, son.
or may be you can take the cell to haree who will patch it for you
I Have already tried that but the thing but i cant put thing in the memory phone only in the sd card

after upgrade to 6.5 screen showing windows mobile 6.5 onyl
I used SumitsProUsersROM_WM6.5_build21815_OldGene_Fixed to upgrade its struck at windows mobile 6.5 screen only nothing happening.
not able to flash again. Aslo want to note that while I was ugrading it shows me something like "sudden loss of power"
Pls help my phone is not working now.

After 6 hours of trying to change spl to flash the rom i haven´t manage to do anything more ist´s exactaly the same that i have all ready i have download a lot´s o rom´s and nothing i have tried the to do updating the spl by the sd card and nothing happen because i can´t put anything in the memory of the phone i only can put thing in the card from my computers card reader to trying to change the spl to 1.10-Olipro to flash the rom but i can´t
I don´t no what i have do more?
please anyone with the same problem can help-me

is the same that a told is star to upgrading and in the 2 % the phone restarts and give-me that error i thing is because spl is 1.7.0000 or not?
I just see i hav cid lock and and dont now i unlock ?any help

below link as i had told u before u have not done HSPL
u go to the below links and save them on ur comp and Read no one is going to hand hold u and u dont need it with such nice tutes given pls not im a guy with Zero tech skills and i did it so u can as my boss would say its not rocket science
& i dont have any gene tools with me as i have upgraded to another phone (see my sign)
